I hope you enjoy tonight's video. Give it a like if you do. You can find the original video where I find these artifacts here: th-cam.com/video/o_tXXyftM_Y/w-d-xo.html
Very good video! I would like to see a video on how soil levels stay the same over time or how they change. Why are some relics that are newer, deeper in some areas, where older relics are more toward the surface in other places. Like, is the soil and ground level the same on civil war battlefields as it was when the soldiers fought there? That would be cool to know that the topography was the exact same as when the soldiers were there. And why are some civil war sites down so deep? You did a video a long time ago where u were digging up bricks from some camp structure in a field from the civil war but the ground level bricks were down a few feet. How does that happen? Are most of the civil war battle sites underground so that the ground we see today is all built up on top of it somehow? Or are some sites still at the same ground level we see today? How does that happen from one site to another, especially sites in fields with little to no trees? Thanks!
I’m fascinated by your knowledge of the civil war camps. And I’ve leaned enough from you to impress my husband at a civil war museum in Louisiana. Thanks chigg!
You have such an immense collection of relics. I can't be the only person who would love to watch a 10hr long show and tell of each of them! Thank you for making videos to share with us. I have watched every single one of them up to now. I think you're just brilliant.
Love these follow-ups , you have answered questions I didn't know I had.Thsnks for all your adventures. I live in MD hunt everywhere I go. Ontario silver mines are cool.
I got one of your snorkel short sleeve shirts. It has become one of my favorite T-shirts to wear so soft and comfortable. “Hold Your Breath!” Thanks, Beau! Thanks again for the free Chiggs army cap that you gave to Mike to give to me a long time ago!
I enjoy these types of videos immensely! Viewing the artifacts up close with all the explanations is awesome. I would love for you to pick some items from your collection once a week and do a video like this. Almost like a series. Cheers!
I really like the "explainer" video format and the associated stories it solicits. You have so much in your collection that you could even do videos by topics, ie: bullets, buckles, buttons, ect....and that would be be pretty entertaining too.
Love to these follow up videos/general relic education videos done at home. Learning about the history can be just as exciting as seeing you pull the relics from the ground. Like learning that the confederate calvary liked using shotguns, very interesting! I would love to see more of these, keep up the good work!
@@oleradiodudea.m.4735 Never have found any near my 115 year old house. I was making a joke for Beau because he mentions "huuuuman" in several of his vids.
Yes, very much like and enjoy your tutorials on what you find and it helps us beginners to understand what we are looking at when we find it. Thank you very much.
Definitely more videos like this. I would also like to see an updated tour of your relic room maybe some of your favorite and most rare artifacts. Why are they your favorite and why the rarity on some pieces.
I would definitely like to see more videos like this, an interesting one would be talking about different kinds of buttons, even civilian ones, they're definitely my favourite relic to see you find. Thanks for the videos Chiggs, they are very much enjoyed.
Been subscribed since 2018, and as I tell everyone, everything I know was taught by you! That was really interesting and amazing to be able to see what buck and ball looks like placed in a cartridge. That has to be pretty rare. Always love seeing the relic room. Love the channel.
Wonderful collection you got the other day. Thank you for explaining them all. Like I said previously, I would watch every single one of these videos cause I love when you go over your collection and when you show us the stuff cleaned it really is fascinating. And I don’t mind just the videos are a half an hour long but I guess some people would mind. I hope you have a nice end to your weekend and I look forward to watching you soon. Kathy.
I'm remembering when I was younger How I would shake the bag of Chuck Wagon How fast the dogs would come running kinda like the commercial's !, Ghigg your segments hit me like that !!!😊
Always interesting when you get down to the displays. I'd like to see more of your conservation activities and treatments for relics. Spring forward the clocks tonight, summers comin'!
Hey chigg! An idea for a video that I’m sure other would like to see as well, you should definitely go around your relic room and show us all your finds from over the years!
Like this roundup much better see the relics cleaned up and very informative and always great to see the display room need to do a updated vid on that alone
Please do some videos of particular types of relics. Buckles , pins, plates. Etc. Thanks love your content and presentation! I’m sure if we were neighbors we would be friends lol.
I too would like to see more of the roundup in your basement. In this location you have more time and resources to really show the history in the relics that you have found. However, where is the gold? Great job!
I really enjoyed this one Chigg. Really did want to see that hammer cleaned up and the one bullet to see what they were. Well done. I appreciate you taking the time to clean them up and explaining to us what they were.
I find these videos very interesting, informative and quite fascinating. I already owned an original P53 Enfield musket and recently acquired an 1863 dated Springfield musket in .58 caliber and have actually cast my own Minie balls and made them into a full paper cartridge. I don't have a black powder license here in the UK so i substitute cous cous just for effect. I always think though who may have carried these weapons and ponder the fact you had to take time loading these things in the heat of battle ..normally in a standing position and with the enemy shooting back at you quite mind blowing !! So it makes you wonder,..why were these cartridges dropped in the position you find them,.....were they thrown away because they were damp or,....was the soldier shot as he was about to load his weapon. These things we will never know and that all adds to the (maybe morbid) fascination of these relics. Yeah,..so keep doing these videos Chiggers because we out here learn a lot from it.
Good evening chigg thanks again for explaining the items you have metal detected very interesting again, how many Gardner rifles have been made for the different sizes of bullets, thanks again for a beautiful video stay safe , 🏴
I'd like to see more after roundups like this. Thank you
