Peter is a great storyteller and a true gentleman. He's a supertalent who doesn't know he is a supertalent, and that is a good thing.

I was in the US Army stationed in W.Germany in 1967 and picked a 45 by Frampton's ffirst band -- The Herd...it was sort of a pop band. The song was"From the Underworld"..it stands up quite well 48 years on. I admire his work so much-- he's killer blues player
I will try to catch his four when they play MSG

I just went to see Peter in Gifford NH on his farewell tour and he was so so incredible. I expected him to be past his hay day and NOT sound like he did during his Frampton comes alive days. I was shocked beyond belief. He sounded even better! I love this sweet man! An immeasurable talent and a true gentlemen!

A class act is Frampton. Love his humble demeanor. Saw him preform at Interlochen Fine Arts camp, summer 2018. He and Greg Allman were the double bill that evening. We went to see Allman but have no regrets concerning Frampton set. Also saw Frampton preform "Comes Alive" tour date in 1976 with his band.

I managed a nightclub in Ohio back in the early 90's, Jerry Shirley was a DJ on the local rock station. Jerry would also guest DJ at the club, once in awhile. Peter was in town and dropped by to see a local band that was playing that night. He could have not been a nicer guy, we had a nice chat about music in general, and me growing up on their music. Total class act....

On being #2 to Clapton, if you check out the 1997 Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band vid from their Detroit show, Peter and Jack Bruce dominate the proceedings and on the Cream songs, Peter and Jack are having the time of their lives. While Peter plays those differently than Eric, he and Jack are just amazing to watch and listen to, driving each other forward through each tune.

I have to be honest here: when Frampton Comes Alive was released it was played Ad Nausea on the FM stations and of course, it worked its way onto our parties, but I always liked and respected his guitar playing, so we survived ..
( laughing). And to hear of his illness is a sobering reminder that in the end, we are human after all.
Damn, this angers me, he truly is a nice gent who deserves to stop playing on his decision and not that of illness.

Frampton’s a class act all the way! An all around nice guy and he sings well and plays well. I’m sad now that he found out he has a condition which is going to take his guitar 🎸 playing abilities away. That is going to be sad and cruel! So he’s going on a farewell tour kind of like Glen Campbell did. It’s going to be a very emotional tour. I wish the best for him and pray for him that he recovers. You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone! Sad but true!
    God Bless Peter Frampton!

How would you sum up your contribution to George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass album? The liner notes and credits have always been sketchy at best.
My contribution was acoustic guitar. I was involved in five of the basic tracks with Badfinger, all playing acoustic guitars, including George and myself. So there were about three of them. Well, there were at least five of us. You're talking about Phil Spector, so “More is more” [laughs].
There were at least five of us on acoustic guitars, and then Pete Drake, the steel player, came over half-way through during those five tracks, and we did some of the more country ones, like "If Not for You," which Bob Dylan had written. After I'd done those, which I believe were the last tracks George did on the album, he called me up after a few weeks and said, "Phil wants more acoustic guitars on the tracks." I remember laughing at the time. This time it was just me and George at Abbey Road, the same studio where the Beatles had done Sgt. Pepper.it's pretty heady stuff, even to this day. I was looking through the glass, and there was Phil Spector. We were literally sitting in front of the glass, the two of us on stools, and I don’t know how many tracks I played on because they just kept adding acoustic guitars to anything with acoustics on it.
The most enjoyable part of that whole thing was in between, when they would change reels, because it was analog, obviously, George and I would start jamming. We were playing whatever; you name it, we were jamming on it. That was the highlight for me, to jam with George and just have fun.

Howard does excellent interviews now. He's matured and is very listenable now. Back in the 90s he was just a morning show character with little substance. But now I think he's great. You can only have so many female long distance squirting contests in the studio before it just gets old.
