Hi, is it possible to sculpt on island (to make small mountain or hill with smooth edges). I am not able to do it, as if it is not a landscape.
importing assets (copying folder) does not work in Unreal, besides Unreal is full of bugs
what if I want to create a third layer for grass, so have wet beach, beach and grass, is it possible?

Hey SmartPoly, I just wanted to reach out on this video to tell you thank you. You've really helped me understand some bp logic and I even finished the zombie game with multiple different levels so again. Thank you and I can't wait for more videos. I'd love to see some videos for stuff like dialog logic, either from a quest giver or just on overlap. Another thing I'd be interested in is building a smarter ai with attack strings. It'd be fairly difficult because of the amount of animations you'd need and I'm unsure a free pack like that for everyone exist. This could be something a student would need purchase an animation pack to follow along with but yeah that cuts into your audience. Just what I've been thinking about anyways... Thank you!

Hi, How do I stop the ocean from deforming my landscape? The ocean floor is flat now. un-checking the affects landscape box stops it from deforming the landscape but the water disappears.
I followed this tutorial while making a game but I would like the player character to be able to walk in the water not on it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, about a year ago you made these two blueprint tutorials, for begginers and for intermediate users, so I was wondering if you are going to eventually make the advanced tutorial, or you're done with blueprint tutorials?
I want to make the advanced tutorial, but I was also thinking of remastering the blueprint for beginners tutorial first. Not sure which should I do first. Any ideas?
@@SmartPoly Now that you say it, i think you should remaster the begginers tutorial (and maybe also the intermediate one) first, because some things are outdated, and by far, those are the best UE5 tutorials i've ever seen and i want to see them remastered.

For some reason my landscape plane becomes a pit, dipping downward into a pyramid shape after adding water body.....ANY IDEAS??
I started Unity a couple of months ago, saw your beginner tutorial on Unreal, skimmed, then decided to send a message. I'm really struggling with Unity. Trying to self learn the coding, doing tutorials and also signed up for a C# scripting course on Udemy. Then I see the Unreal workflow, and thinking maybe I should have maybe came to Unreal first. I have the game character already designed. Over almost a year I've learned Fusion 360, then Blender and now learning Unity. Have had many setbacks. Multiple sick spells and burnouts. Been tough to keep going. All I need to do is make a children's helicopter game where the helicopter is guided by the player to hit balloons. The balloons break and an alphabet letter appears. It's to teach the alphabet. I would like to then be able to make it an iOS game. Looking for advice. Still will continue learning code, but would like to get the game up at least. Keep getting sick, and the burnouts are tiring me out. I've gotten close to the end goal. Feeling very worn out.

you've done this before. I really was excited for your ue5 retargeting series. specifically using Control Rig to make arms and weapon animations
As with a lot of tutorials I'm now stuck with UE 5.3 as it doesn't match the video. First when you create a landscape the "Enable Edit Layers" checkbox is already selected. After setting the material instance to the landscape it's not black and when you go into landscape mode and to the paint option, there is no Tropical layer. Also don't know how to create a layer so yeah, I'm dead in the tropical water now. Oh well, onto the next tutorial.
Hey, I’m new too but to make a new layer you go to file in the top left corner and then the very first selection is make a new level. You can also just use crtl+n
every time I place down the body of water I don't get that little island to pop up :( the water is there but the island itself is gone

Literally cannot find anybody to explain to me how the layers work in the paint tab. I've noticed depending on what layer I have selected it will or it may not paint. Or it will only paint in certain areas depending on what layer I have selected. I'm completely lost and I can't find anything on this.
