    Truly one of the most lethal creatures in 40K. Genestealers are like a blend of the planet-conquering parasitism of the Xenomorphs with a creepy demonic overtone(demonic in tone, not demonic as in Chaos).

      Blood angels were all but wiped out. Not just the founding chapter but between every successor there were only a little over a hundred left after Baal was invaded by the nids. And then the primaris came.....
      Space wolves got a major boost as the lost great company was found.
      And that’s about all....

    I am not really a fan of 40k, AoS is more my thing, but man the Genestealer Cults are just so cool. They remind me of Skaven clans and Tzeentch cults rolled into one, my two favorite AoS factions. Thanks for these videos, really infotaining!

    The genestealers’ codex list illuminates a problem that I have seen with most Imperial army codices. Not all Imperial equipment is shared by the different imperial army types. For example, I once wanted to equip my imperial guard units with bolters. Bolters are Imperial weapons but, the problem is the army lists will not let you do that.
    The genestealers use Imperial equipment, but that same equipment cannot be given to the guard. The best example of this is the Atalan Jackals. In the Imperial codices, only the marines could have motorcycles. Even though light vehicles like those are standard equipment on Imperial worlds. I just wish the 40K codices were more flexible.

    • @OneMindSyndicate
      @OneMindSyndicate  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bolters shouldn't be standard imperial weaponry they are reserved for the space marines because of the size and power of a Bolter. Bikes were also something that a regular guardsmen couldn't handle in combat because of the skills required to make the vehicle effective in battle. It sucks that the imperial guard can't have these things but lore wise it makes sense because guardsmen are weak and squishy.

    • @rodneykelly8768
      @rodneykelly8768 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OneMindSyndicate Bolters can be carried by guard officers, commissars, and agents of the inquisition. Even though they lack the black caripus of the marines, the sisters of battle have both bolters and power armor. Motorcycles have been used at war since the First World War by we “weak and squishy” humans.

    • @AshamanKaine
      @AshamanKaine 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would bikes not be covered by the Rough Rider rules? And isn't the issue with bolters that they are more complex to make and come with religeous significancs as well as too big and heavy with too much recoil for an unenhanced human? Guards men can use bolt-pistols but you usually only see those on Officers. Plus all the models and pictures I've seen of non-spacemarines carrying bolters they've been wearing power armour of some description (Inquisitors, Sisters of Battle etc.). Also worth pointing out that Imperial Guard do have Heavy Bolter Weapons teams ...

    Question (posted here and your latest for the greater waagh vid): When did the gene stealer cults get their praying to the star gods lore? I'm asking because this struck me as REALLY damn familiar when I saw their new vid. I thought it was something about halo but that was just the art style. I realized today that a book I read as a teen was the reason I recognized this concept. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliens:_Earth_Hive Plot Summary 4th paragraph down a religious cult worshiping the Aliens from the Alien franchise. So like who is copying who in this? This book was published in 1992.

    So are they human who use xeno genes or are they tyranid passing themselves off as human? If they are simply human do the Tyranid accept them into their ranks? Tyranid seem more animalistic in nature and don't seemingly display this level of complexity.
