Did you file as an dependent or independent student for financial aid to collect more money?

I filed as a dependent. You only file as an independent if you live alone and support yourself without any parental support. Lmk if you have any other questions!

@GuruForSuccess so you just asked financial aid and they gave you more money? That's awesome

@@niafyall2658 I called them and I appealed my original financial aid, which allowed me to get more money from them. To appeal, you must have a valid reasoning such as a financial circumstance or change in income!
