8.7 enjoyer reporting in 2 weeks later and it feels like 40% of my games are against 7.7 and 8.0 vehicles now that the meta 8.7-7.7 is settling. Having 420mm of flat pen + great spalling is really just too much for most vehicles, and composite armor on the hull and turret cheeks make it very good against the lower tier vehicles you’ll very often be facing.

It does have a DU round and it does also spall a lot :'). It got better just because all 9.7 uptiers got moved to 10.0.
