Great review. Like you say, good pencils that are not available open stock is a drawback.
Love your cat. He looks so comfy in his box.
You are a beautiful artist. I'm going to get those fineliners🌺
Great review! It seems Arteza is really putting out some incredible products for a very fair price. I've only tried their gouache, which is lovely and buttery, but I might have to get the fineliners, too. They seem like a lot of fun to doodle with.
I was honestly pleasantly surprised at the quality of the products knowing for what price they sell their products :)
Wonderful! I love the background on the fish drawing, very good review :)
I do love all of these products, and am considering getting one of those sketchbooks for my studies even though I have a ton of sketchbooks already! It's just nice to have a good quality but cheap sketchbook to study in and to save my more expensive ones for other purposes. One thing to look out for with the fineliners is that the inks activate with water and melt! So if you use them for linework for your watercolor or marker media, do lay your lines down after you are done coloring or else you will have a bad time of it. I actually use this to my advantage for when I want to just add a wash of color over a little sketch when I'm only using the pens. They to lay down on top of media very well and I'm pleased with them!
Haha i forgot to mention that about the fineliners, but ofcourse this is no disadvantage :)
Cool, good to know.. love getting new Arty stuff😁😁😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
haha yes that's why i tell myself not to watch to many art review videos hahaha it always gets me into buying more XD
JenW Fine Arts heheheh 😁😁I'm the same, I want it all... Lol
Your kitty is adorable 😀🐱 I broke down and bought the pencils and real brush pens from Arteza an I've been pleasantly surprised. I agree open stock would be nice but they are inexpensive so I could get another set on sale to use as back up. I really like the variety of greens in the set. They were smooth and I can see combining them with my more expensive pencils! Very nice video review.
I really liked the greens as well, especially that pretty teal color, still would have liked some lighter pastel tones to complete the set but that's just a minor complaint haha
JenW Fine Arts yes so true. Hope they listen to feedback. 😁👍
I think that you would have enjoyed the 72ct of the pencils. It has the colors that you were lacking in the 48ct. I agree with regard to the open stock issue. I am HOPING that since the company and their products have been so well received in the art community that as their company expands that they will eventually open up with open stock in both paints and pencils. In the larger acrylics, they do sell individual colors. I've also noticed recently a couple of other products I hadn't seen until today. I feel like they will eventually offer open stock. In the mean time, It is cheap enough to just replenish with a new set until they do. Thanks so much for a very informative review!! I totally agree that I sounded like a sales person when I did a review on the website. So far the pencils are my favs!! I have the 12ct acrylics and the 12ct of the watercolors. I haven't tried them yet, but I am really looking forward to them!! Thanks again!!
I surely would have loved that set haha but strangely enough i cant seem to find the 72 set anywhere on their website (only the water color ones) as if they are discontinued or something, i know they existed because my friend and fellow youtuber the art gear guide has the set of 72, so i am not sure what is up with that XD I certainly hope their busyness will expand, the have great value products and seem like super friendly people to deal with :)
I think it might be out of stock in some areas. I know that they are "Low" in quantity in my area. Have you checked Amazon? I know that Amazon has them nearly the same price, (with the coupons even)
awesome review made me crave using colored pencils although I'm not into colored pencils xD, lovely kitty he's so adoreable
