Channel Awesome personally, I really love John Stuart as GL. I don’t really like the goofball that is Hal Jordan. So it’s no surprise that my favourite episode is Blackest Night
My favorite is the one where grandy dies and gets his soul, it was interesting for me, since japanese people dont believe in a soul and the only other thing I saw that kind of explained about souls were the Brenden Fraser film "Bedazzled" .....yeah, not the best sorce for that kind of knowledge ^^" It floats XP So, the concept and idea was very impactful for me and I felt like I was seeing the episode through hawk girls eyes, since I was kind of like her with the ideas.
I go back and rewatch a few of my favorite episodes every year or so. Flash and Substance from Unlimited (the flash museum episode) is one of my favorite episodes of TV. Its one of very few episodes that dive into the flash's character more than just superficially and man I love it for that.
joe momma better than live action not that live action is bad but this universes portrail of the characters is my favorite Mark hamil is the joker and martian manhunter😍 And the flash is realky balanced out between goofy joke maker smart and the moral hart of the group, he makes jokes vut you also know hes a men of science and one if the sweetest characters
No sir, the Martian Manhunter is a black actor Carl Lumbly. Hamill is Solomon Grundy, Joker and the Fire Lord. Clancy Brown is Luthor, Long Feng the Dai Li and Nakone from Korra..... He's also Mr Crab in Sponge Bob. (O:
Bruce Timm once said in interview that this series is his favorite work of his, and I wholeheartedly agree. Justice League and ESPECIALLY unlimited is some of the most spectacularly animated, well acted, tightly written, well paced storytelling in the history of television. I know a lot of people are REALLY fond of Batman TAS and I too enjoy it and recognize it's greatness, but it had it's fair share of animation and pacing issues. This show (and again, unlimited especially), was the Batman TAS formula ground into perfection.
I think you're so right. TAS was more experimental so you'd get the odd weird episode but it also meant that you could pick and choose. JL is like a swiss watch, it's organized and immaculately constructed.
For real though. If you ever want a firm punch of quality and nostalgia right in the heart the animated DC show openings will get you ever time. I just started tearing up a little just remembering the Superman and JL openings. C'=
The Marines are a division of the US military. The word "soldier", applies to the army, navy, air force, etc, and they have differences between them. John wants to make it clear exactly what kind of soldier he is. My father was a Marine too, and he talks the same way.
ULGROTHA It also has something to do with the perception of the Marines as opposed to the Army. Marines are generally seen as tougher, more combat-oriented, more willing to stand up to fight, and more gung-ho about the military in general. Regardless of whether that’s the case, it can be considered an insult to compare a Marine to a soldier in the Army. Sort of like comparing a senior university student to a sophomore at the university. They’re both proficient at studying, but one is usually seen as more so.
The US armed Forces consists of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and the Marines. While the Marines are technically apart of the Department of the Navy they are their own Entity. If you are a Marine you are a Marine, If you are in the Army you are a Soldier. Its like saying Bavarians and Saxons are the same, while they are apart of the same country they are different cultural groups.
Archduke Franz Ferdinand I think that got charged recently. At least I don't think the Marines still get payed form the Department of the Navy. Brivato is the reason there is a destination. Marines like to think they're better then the common Army solder. It's a whole shit talking thing in the military. You should see an Army guy and a Navy guy shit talk the Coast Gard some time. Just don't join I'm if you're not part of the military.
There are no Bad Justice league Episodes. The whole show is Awesome. From the Justice League and Unlimited. This show was made with love and passion and emotion. Not like that other show(I am looking at you Justice league Action)
The animation is atrocious, the episodes are silly. Maybe it's made for younger viewers i don't know. But which justice league a kid would like better? The new one(action) or Justice League & Unlimited?
Viknix Now that you mention it, probably the latter. It has the advantage because of how well the drama is mixed in. One episode of JLU almost had me in tears (the one about Huntress trying to kill the Pale Whale Man).
Well, as someone who was a kid when they watched Justice League, I would have to say that one, simply because when JLU came along all the excess characters confused me, and action is even shorter again isn't it? where as the I really enjoyed the 40 minute storylines, but it would be different for everyone
Does anyone else remember that episode where they get turned into kids and little Diana is crushing on Bruce the whole time. I always thought that episode was freaking adorable.
Justice League (show) is a freakin Masterpiece it remains very dear in the hearts of many (including me) and will never be forgotten this was such a great list IMO I hope the JL film will be so good just like how the JL show was and I can't wait for it!!!!!!! :)
master5 gaming and other stuff I'm not exactly saying "JL is gonna be so good!!!" I'm just saying I *hope* it will be good I'm a bit cautious because it will be (at least mostly because for me it is Snyder's movie imo) a Joss Wheton film
Hereafter is my all-time favourite episode/s. All that you mentioned, and to top it off, a redemption story for Vandal Savage, one of my favourite comic book villains. It tops my list every time.
Top 5 Best Danny Phantom Episodes Top 5 Best Ben 10 Episodes Top 5 Best Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes Episodes Top 5 Best Transformers: Prime Episodes Top 5 Best Static Shock Episodes Top 5 Best Spectacular Spider-Man Episodes
The Cadmus arc was amazing. For my money, it's the best exploration of the idea of these godlike beings operating without oversight, the potential for corruption, and how us lowly mortals might react, or overreact.
The Venture Bros S2 has "Escape from the House of the Mummies Part 2" an episode which is part 2 of a non existing episode showed on the recap and at the end you see a preview for the 3rd part that also doesn't exist.
JLU next year? Damn! I gotta say I'm surprised Wild Card wasn't at the very least an honorable mention if for nothing else then not only do you have a Joker centered episode but also the reveal of Hawkgirl's face which was something as a kid I looked forward to. It was the timer right? That's probably why.
Starcrossed definitely deserves the #1 spot. It's been years since I've seen the show and have admittedly forgotten most of the episodes, but Starcrossed always stood out to me. It usually takes a powerful emotional moment for me to remember a show or movie in the long term.
My favourite episode of Justice League (Unlimited, mind you) is "The Great Brain Robbery". Why? Because of this really simple exchange: "You gonna wash your hands?" "Nooo. Cuz I'm _Evil"_
Clancy Brown played a waaay better Flash as Luthor than Michael Rosenbaum Luthor as Flash. Clancy spoke and behave PERFECTLY as the Flash in Luthor's body.
Where The Hell was Wild Cards? That was an amazing episode, The Joker Stole that episode Figuratively and Literally (For those who don't know what I mean watch it and see what I mean)
Even if you knew he was gonna come back, Superman’s death and everyone’s reactions in part one were just... too fucking good not to be sucked in. From Diana ready to punch a hole through Toyman’s head to Batman struggling with processing his grief to Wally taking his sacrifice as inspiration to rise above, there are no weak moments.
The best way to punish Luthor is not to lock him up in a regular jail. But rather, imprison him inside of a jail outside of space and time. That way, even he with all his "genius" couldn't break out
My top 5 Justice League episodes 1. A Better World 2. Secret Origins 3. Starcrossed 4. Twlight 5. Hereafter Bruce Timm and co did such an amazing job in not only establishing the DCAU but also with the Justice League especially as he didn't want to do it originally but it ended up being one of the greatest superhero shows ever, from the way it was drawn to the animation to the way the dialogue / stories were written, it was all done so well that every episode you watched felt like a mini movie.
I've never really watched Justice League only seen bits and pieces. But this has certainly pushed me to go watch it all soon! Might I suggest a top 5 Young Justice episodes? That I've seen and is an incredible series. Great video! :D
Spicy watch Justice League if you ever get the chance. It is different from Young Justice in terms of animation, character development, etc. Like Young Justice, though, it is a great series for so many reasons.
How is Wild Cards not mentioned? I'd like anyone to please give a reason why it's not in the top 5. I'm not saying it needs to be in this list. But I'm unable to understand how it's not. Humor, real time counter, a great group of villians with a good mix of powers, one of the most powerful characters in the series, so many twists, a pretty amazing plan from Joker, and a great end to the whole thing.
Lois' breakdown at Superman's funeral always makes me cry. And it gets worse when you realize in this world she's yelling at & crying on her ex boyfriend's shoulder as well as the shoulder of her dead lover's sworn enemy.
The voice actor redo of Starcrossed at a con was awesome. Voice actors in the same room, just having fun reading the script. Wish I coulda seen it in person, but the video is around somewhere.
Oooh, this was my absolute favorite cartoon growing up and remains on my top 5 favorite cartoons to this day. Not enough people talk about it, in my opinion, so thank you!
Just gonna say it Legends stuck with me the most as a kid. Episode really helped emphasize that Justice League wasn't just some silly Super Hero Show aimed at selling toys. It had depth and character that super hero shows today wish they had but sadly don't.
My favourite moment from "a better world" episode is when Flash says to Superman "so you're not such a boy scout after all" and superman smiles and replies with "never even made it to my first merit badge" that response followed with Superman lifting up the American flag is one of Superman's best moments and is one of the reasons George Newbern will always be my Superman
Don't disagree with #1, but #2 should have been Wild Cards. That was a great romp as the Justice League took on the Teen Titans, I mean the Royal Flush Gang. I'd also add 'Secret Society' as a #4 or #5. This one was a little better than 'Injustice for All' because Grodd didn't mind control the Leaguers into fighting, he just pushed buttons that were already there. Grodd and Martian Manhunter are a great villain/hero pairing.
Rahsaan Footman Nah. Number 2 was the right choice considering the Justice League’s many team ups with the Justice Society and the whole introduction to alternate universes.
Another great thing about Star-crossed for me was Alfred's involvement! he got some terrific one-liners in there, and I love his final moment with Hawkgirl there as well! "Whatever they decide in that room Miss, you'll always be a hero in my eyes!" Also I do think Wild Cards should be highlighted as well for great storytelling and lots of great Joker moments!
Martian Should be many times faster as well as a telepath so really Batman should be on the floor drooling if he wished. I did notice in this cartoon everyone is horribly nerfed but Batman and John who just lowers his shields for no reason, and Hawkgirl was horribly op with her mace (she slapped back a planet busting laser). It got better in the later seasons.
Not watched the video yet but gonna take some guesses: -"The Greatest Story Never Told" -That episode where Superman "died" -That episode where Lex Luthor and Brianiac fused -That episode where The Question and Huntress interacted with Black Canary and Green Arrow -That episode where the founding members get trapped in one of the comic books Green Lantern read as a kid
This show remains really dear to me. I loved watching it as a kid and whenever it came on I dropped everything to watch it. While I have serious doubts the movie will be as good as the show we can always hope. Nice list by the way. My personal favorite episode was The Savage Time. The whole concept of the Justice League fighting in WWII was just way too cool.
I remember the epusodes where thet travel trough time...it really filled me with a sense of dread ... also it was one of 2 ep that tie in the original shows with the beyond series the later ep being a end to both the beyond and unlimited series...everything is tied so nice...why dont they make shows like this today ???
Come on not even an honourable mention for comfort and joy? That was an amazing episode. Sure there were no big battles or evil villains, but it showed each member of the justice league I their most human way possible. And that deserves recognition
Dialogue for If I had the chance to talk about the honorable mentions in the video: In Blackest Night from season 1: Being the episode after the eventful "Secret Origins" This episode is by far my favorite of all time, this was the second episode in the DCAU that centered around Green Lantern since STAS's "In Brightest Day", the episode follows John Stewart brought to the unjust planet Ajuris 5 being held on trial for destroying the planet Ajuris 4, and its up to Superman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, and HawkGirl to prove John's innocence it's later revealed that the villainous robotic Manhunters attempted to frame John Stewart to make the Green Lantern corps look bad in an attempt to gain the power of the GL Central power battery on the Planet Oa because Spoiler Alert they were created by the Guardians of the universe, before they decided to use Green Lanterns, this is the first time we get to see some other members of the Green Lantern corps like Gallies, Arkus, ToMa'Rae and Kilowog who unlike the other green lanterns chose to stick up for John, not to mention how impressive HawkGirl kicked their asses. however we didn't get to see Kyle Rayner or Hal Jordan until JLU, I also like how John starts to doubt himself worthy of being a green lantern, but then realized he doesn't need to believe in himself because his friends already believe in him, it's Phil Lamar at his finest, the best part about this episode is how flash volunteers to defend john as his lawyer and how the judges say that they "solved their lawyer problem" which in real life standards is really unfair and unjust but the league made the judges and their prosecutor realize how stupid they make themselves look in font of their own court and jury, maybe if they decided to live with their "Lawyer Problem" they would have avoided this utter humiliation, I give the Flash a salute for his loyalty to his fellow leaguemates,
When you do Unlimited, the episode "Patriot Act" needs to be on there. Aside from giving the spotlight to the lesser known heros it also has my favorite moment from the whole series, when Shining Knight stands up to the general and the crowd backs him up.
As someone watching this on Christmas Day, I've gotta say that my favorite episode was "Comfort and Joy". The action in Justice League made it a really good watch, but it was the heart of the characters that made it great. The Christmas episode really showcased that best. Also, that ending always makes me cry a little just because its so sweet.
How the funking funknuts is Wild Cards not on this list? It’s an episode narrated by The Joker, for crying out loud, and is the closest thing we’ll ever get to the OG Justice League fighting the OG Teen Titans (the cast voices the Royal Flush Gang)
I am so obsessed with this show and unlimited, that I literally have to keep myself from watching one episode or else I will binge watch the entire show. This video just broke that restraint!
It's impossible for me to pick favorites. All of yours were great. In addition to the ones on your top 5 and honorable mentions, I'd like to add "The Savage Time" "Comfort and Joy", "Wild Cards" and "Maid of Honor"
I loved this list especially because I remember every single one of these episodes having seen them all. In fact, I have a DVD with all three parts of Starcrossed on it. I loved this show growing up because it contained my favorite version of Green Lantern, John Stewart, and my favorite version of the Flash, Wally West, and of course Superman and Batman who are tied with Spider-Man for my favorite superhero of all time. Also, it sounds like to me next week you're going to do the Top Five Best Hey Arnold! Episodes, am I wrong or not?
You hit this list right! Though the best episode you left off would, in my opinion, be the first episode of the second season where Darkseid and Braniac go to war. The tension between Superman and his enemies is amazing due to it following after the Superman series finale.
This is one of my favorite animated shows, it introduced me to a lot of DC heroes I didn't know about. I like most of the episodes on the list, but here's some of favorites (that wasn't on the list): Secret Origins, The Enemy Below, Paradise Lost, The Savage Time, Wild Cards
It is very hard to argue with the list, but other honorable mentions: Wild Cards was really all about the Joker and that episode really shows what makes him such a menacing villain. War World was pretty much ripping off the plot of Gladiator, but it shows Superman's best quality, which is helping/inspiring others (especially Draega) to better themselves. And Hearts and Minds was a good honorable mention, GL had to retrain to become stronger, Flash and Kilowog had such a good dynamic, Despero was a solid villain, and the final speech from the J'onn/Py'tar fusion was also very uplifting.
You just brought the feels with number 1. What I liked about Justice League it was not only connected to Batman the animated series and Superman the animated series; it had Static Shock, Batman Beyond and implied Teen Titans under its umbrella.
I only had about one or two dvds back when I was a kid and they had the episodes of war world and those where they fought hades....man it was good time
You forgot to mention that "Starcrossed" has the single greatest Alfred line in DC history; *after the JLA has taken out a platoon of Thanagarian soldiers and left their unconscious bodies scattered all over Wayne Manor's front lawn* "I've asked Master Bruce to refrain from leaving trash in the yard"
What are your favorite Justice League episodes? What should Walter cover on a future Top 5? Let us know in the comments.
i agree with you on the best episodes and the best show
Channel Awesome personally, I really love John Stuart as GL. I don’t really like the goofball that is Hal Jordan. So it’s no surprise that my favourite episode is Blackest Night
I want to say stargate sg1 but it will probably be voted down.
Channel Awesome where's Batman beyond
My favorite is the one where grandy dies and gets his soul, it was interesting for me, since japanese people dont believe in a soul and the only other thing I saw that kind of explained about souls were the Brenden Fraser film "Bedazzled" .....yeah, not the best sorce for that kind of knowledge ^^" It floats XP So, the concept and idea was very impactful for me and I felt like I was seeing the episode through hawk girls eyes, since I was kind of like her with the ideas.
I grew up on that show and went back just this year and rewatched every episode (Unlimited included). They still hold up REALLY well.
I go back and rewatch a few of my favorite episodes every year or so. Flash and Substance from Unlimited (the flash museum episode) is one of my favorite episodes of TV. Its one of very few episodes that dive into the flash's character more than just superficially and man I love it for that.
joe momma better than live action not that live action is bad but this universes portrail of the characters is my favorite
Mark hamil is the joker and martian manhunter😍
And the flash is realky balanced out between goofy joke maker smart and the moral hart of the group, he makes jokes vut you also know hes a men of science and one if the sweetest characters
I watched Justice League and Unlimited earlier this year (After working through the other DCAU stuff), and they're both fantastic series.
joe momma Almost too well to the point that it's crazy young justice season 3 only recently got greenlighted

“That list will be saved for next year.” YOU MANIAC!
*remembers it’s mid November* YOU MANIAC!
EmperorTigerstar my thoughts exactly
Plenty of time for you to make more maps I hope!
EmperorTigerstar LMFAO!
Ya I knoooowww
EmperorTigerstar hey it's my fav mapper!
You forgot the sexual tension of Bruce and Diana in JL. They both were just perfect for each other in JL lol.
Humam242 yeah Wonder Woman and Batman were a much better couple then her and Superman now
I thought it happened more prominently in JLUnlimited...
One of the best cartoon intros ever!
steamfan9000 the JLU one is better
Arthur Vale It is more hype but I think the first one is more nostalgic...
JLU = More hype
JL = More nostalgic
Sebastien O. Agreed
For real though. If you ever want a firm punch of quality and nostalgia right in the heart the animated DC show openings will get you ever time. I just started tearing up a little just remembering the Superman and JL openings. C'=

More like 5 least vomit inducing episodes of Teen Titans Go.
There are no Bad Justice league Episodes. The whole show is Awesome. From the Justice League and Unlimited. This show was made with love and passion and emotion. Not like that other show(I am looking at you Justice league Action)
Viknix Is it really that bad? I quite like it.
worst =/= bad. You can make a list of the worst JL episodes, but it wouldn't mean that they were bad
The animation is atrocious, the episodes are silly.
Maybe it's made for younger viewers i don't know.
But which justice league a kid would like better? The new one(action) or Justice League & Unlimited?

I always loved watching Starcrossed as a kid
Injustice for all should've been retitled "the swag of batman". Also, TAKES NOTES SNYDER THIS IS HOW YOU HANDLE THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN!!!!
Injustice for All also had one of the best Joker laughs ever imo
Gio A It's better than Superman/Doomsday and Snore Gagnorock. How they fucked up Thor Ragnorok and Planet Hulk in one film
Gio A
I dunno how the movie universe doesn't learn from the animated universe. It's better than the MCU.
Statutory Grape That Superman return was great!!! I loved the Justice League movie.
Gio A don't worry, snyder is out of the game.
Does anyone else remember that episode where they get turned into kids and little Diana is crushing on Bruce the whole time.
I always thought that episode was freaking adorable.
"Wally West, Clark Kent,"
*pulls off mask and there is another one underneath*
"Batman"
Justice League (show) is a freakin Masterpiece it remains very dear in the hearts of many (including me) and will never be forgotten this was such a great list IMO I hope the JL film will be so good just like how the JL show was and I can't wait for it!!!!!!! :)
It's a joss whedon movie, so no, it wont be good
A Joss Whedon take over of a Snyder DC film, the chances of train wreckage are very high.
master5 gaming and other stuff I'm not exactly saying "JL is gonna be so good!!!" I'm just saying I *hope* it will be good I'm a bit cautious because it will be (at least mostly because for me it is Snyder's movie imo) a Joss Wheton film
bh5496 True but I hope it won't be!!!! :)
I'm hoping it's going to be good, but from the trailers and DC's previous efforts...
Let's just say I'll not be betting it's good.
"Wally West, Clark Kent,...BATMAN!"
One of my favorite episodes is Comfort and Joy. I believe it’s an awesome episode of the show and is a great Christmas special for anyone.
Hereafter is my all-time favourite episode/s. All that you mentioned, and to top it off, a redemption story for Vandal Savage, one of my favourite comic book villains. It tops my list every time.
The ending of Legends makes me cry.
The Justice Guild were true heroes that earned respect and admiration, and surprisingly... I’ll miss them.

The Cadmus arc was amazing. For my money, it's the best exploration of the idea of these godlike beings operating without oversight, the potential for corruption, and how us lowly mortals might react, or overreact.
I remember buying a DVD as a kid that only had Part 2 of story on it and it drove me nuts!
Dirvinator 😘
Still better than just part one and never finding out how it ends.
The Venture Bros S2 has "Escape from the House of the Mummies Part 2" an episode which is part 2 of a non existing episode showed on the recap and at the end you see a preview for the 3rd part that also doesn't exist.
JLU next year? Damn!

It was the timer right? That's probably why.
Yeah that was a good one.
YES
Wild Cards was great. Both seasons had great episodes, making it hard to create a list of only 10.
Lol it was 4 months not a year as it came out today
Has there been an opening this epic in the history of animation?
Shit sent shivers down my nerdy spine.
Zahinn this and X-Men
Heck yeah! This show is awesome. I recently binge watched every episode, including Unlimited.
Top 5 justice league unlimited episodes
The reason to not combine the two? JLU would have all 5 top spots
Starcrossed definitely deserves the #1 spot. It's been years since I've seen the show and have admittedly forgotten most of the episodes, but Starcrossed always stood out to me. It usually takes a powerful emotional moment for me to remember a show or movie in the long term.
I considered Solomon Grundy’s death to be Justice League’s finest moments. It’s about a man who became a monster and in the end, found his humanity
My favourite episode of Justice League (Unlimited, mind you) is "The Great Brain Robbery".
Why? Because of this really simple exchange:
"You gonna wash your hands?"
"Nooo. Cuz I'm _Evil"_
Clancy Brown played a waaay better Flash as Luthor than Michael Rosenbaum Luthor as Flash. Clancy spoke and behave PERFECTLY as the Flash in Luthor's body.
Also: "I have no idea who this is." and "I, Lex Luthor, find that suggestion preposterous"
That episode has so many great quotes
They gave Clancy most of the lines..
Just the IDEA of The Flash, the most jokey and least serious of the JL, and Lex Luthor, a serious, cruel mastermind, switching bodies is hilarious.
best part was that the voice actor for Flash actually played Luthor on Smallville
Wow, "The Savage Time" didn't even get an honorable mention?
Buddy, that's an Unlimited episode
Unforgivable
My favorite episodes are the savage time ones, that stuff with John is amazing and the stuff with Steve and Dianna still is really emotional for me
It's by far the best episode of the series
agreed, ridiculous.... its the best part of the whole series!
Darkest Night had to be my all time favorite from season 1 as I have been a huge fan of the Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps.
Where The Hell was Wild Cards? That was an amazing episode, The Joker Stole that episode Figuratively and Literally
(For those who don't know what I mean watch it and see what I mean)
Even if you knew he was gonna come back, Superman’s death and everyone’s reactions in part one were just... too fucking good not to be sucked in.
From Diana ready to punch a hole through Toyman’s head to Batman struggling with processing his grief to Wally taking his sacrifice as inspiration to rise above, there are no weak moments.
My favorite episodes will always be "The Once and Future Thing."
The best way to punish Luthor is not to lock him up in a regular jail.
But rather, imprison him inside of a jail outside of space and time. That way, even he with all his "genius" couldn't break out
Top 5 JLU Episodes:
5. The Return
4. The Once and Future Thing
3. Divided We Fall
2. For the Man Who Has Everything
1. Epilogue
Flash and Substance was my favorite. I can't help but laugh every time I see the conversation between Flash and the Prankster.
The Justice Lords have(CLEARLY) the better outfits of all I have ever seen in DC.
Racism is terrible but that joke (toward racism itself) was amazing
2nd best animated series
The 1st being Batman of course
in number 3: Lobo
This show is one of the most nostalgic thing for me. I first watched it when I was like 5 or so, and have loved it ever since
Infinity wars is the most ambitious crossover. Justice league the animated series- Hold my beer.
My top 5 Justice League episodes
1. A Better World
2. Secret Origins
3. Starcrossed
4. Twlight
5. Hereafter
Bruce Timm and co did such an amazing job in not only establishing the DCAU but also with the Justice League especially as he didn't want to do it originally but it ended up being one of the greatest superhero shows ever, from the way it was drawn to the animation to the way the dialogue / stories were written, it was all done so well that every episode you watched felt like a mini movie.
Can we please give Bruce Timm and the rest of of his gang the helm on crafting the story for DCEU?!?!?
How is Wild Cards not mentioned? I'd like anyone to please give a reason why it's not in the top 5.
I'm not saying it needs to be in this list. But I'm unable to understand how it's not.
Humor, real time counter, a great group of villians with a good mix of powers, one of the most powerful characters in the series, so many twists, a pretty amazing plan from Joker, and a great end to the whole thing.
The Terror Beyond was one of my favorites as it was riddled with Lovecraftian mythology and gave more depth to Solomon Grundy.
I always had the biggest crush on Shayera. I was a little heartbroken when she betrayed everyone.
I wish they did a origin of how John Stewart became Green Lantern
Lois' breakdown at Superman's funeral always makes me cry. And it gets worse when you realize in this world she's yelling at & crying on her ex boyfriend's shoulder as well as the shoulder of her dead lover's sworn enemy.
oh ya, I forgot they were together at some point. The writers ever do anything with that?
They focused more on their relationship in Superman TAS and chose to focus more on Superman leading the Justice League in JL TAS.
I meant her past relationship with Lex
The voice actor redo of Starcrossed at a con was awesome. Voice actors in the same room, just having fun reading the script. Wish I coulda seen it in person, but the video is around somewhere.
Cool video! "Wild Cards" is one of my favorites, personally.
I love the first two or three with those weird alien shapeshifters. You never learn much about them and they never return.
Oooh, this was my absolute favorite cartoon growing up and remains on my top 5 favorite cartoons to this day. Not enough people talk about it, in my opinion, so thank you!
"So far into the future that the sun has turned red"
That's not thousands of years, that's billions.
This show has so much sentimental value to me these days, my mom and dad watched it with me, which made the show very enjoyable
Just gonna say it Legends stuck with me the most as a kid. Episode really helped emphasize that Justice League wasn't just some silly Super Hero Show aimed at selling toys. It had depth and character that super hero shows today wish they had but sadly don't.
My favourite moment from "a better world" episode is when Flash says to Superman "so you're not such a boy scout after all"
and superman smiles and replies with "never even made it to my first merit badge"
that response followed with Superman lifting up the American flag is one of Superman's best moments and is one of the reasons George Newbern will always be my Superman
+Rahsaan Footman For the reasons you stated, Secret Society gets my vote for #1.
I love justice league. It's one of my favorite shows and one of the best superhero tv shows ever
Batman: "Unless you wanna try and stop me"
Martian Manhunter (to himself): "There's like a million ways I could stop you but oh well just move along"
Akatsukileader9 well he is smart enough to know batman carries his incindiary device with him to cripple manhunter
Justice League > Avengers
Moar Krabs The show alone stomps all MCU films. Fact
Moar Krabs Let the fanboy comments on both sides pour in like fucking water.
Moar Krabs true
Moar Krabs X-Men > Justice league > Poorman's justice league I mean the avengers
Why troll?
Could you cover top 5 Spectacular Spider-Man episodes?
Not watched the video yet but gonna take some guesses:
-"The Greatest Story Never Told"
-That episode where Superman "died"
-That episode where Lex Luthor and Brianiac fused
-That episode where The Question and Huntress interacted with Black Canary and Green Arrow
-That episode where the founding members get trapped in one of the comic books Green Lantern read as a kid
AKIN You got two right. The rest wasn’t in the list due to Justice League Unlimited being considered a seperate show from Justice League.
BigK13372 Nice there's gojng to be another video
That "you're a credit to your people" line fuckin killed me. Hold on, I'm gonna watch it again.
I️ always enjoy videos from you Walter!
I'm actually watching the series right now (just took a break to see this vid). Currently watching "Hearts and Minds".
Come on not even an honourable mention for comfort and joy? That was an amazing episode. Sure there were no big battles or evil villains, but it showed each member of the justice league I their most human way possible. And that deserves recognition
Thanks for motivating me to rewatch this
Dialogue for If I had the chance to talk about the honorable mentions in the video:
In Blackest Night from season 1:
Being the episode after the eventful "Secret Origins" This episode is by far my favorite of all time, this was the second episode in the DCAU that centered around Green Lantern since STAS's "In Brightest Day", the episode follows John Stewart brought to the unjust planet Ajuris 5 being held on trial for destroying the planet Ajuris 4, and its up to Superman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, and HawkGirl to prove John's innocence it's later revealed that the villainous robotic Manhunters attempted to frame John Stewart to make the Green Lantern corps look bad in an attempt to gain the power of the GL Central power battery on the Planet Oa because Spoiler Alert they were created by the Guardians of the universe, before they decided to use Green Lanterns, this is the first time we get to see some other members of the Green Lantern corps like Gallies, Arkus, ToMa'Rae and Kilowog who unlike the other green lanterns chose to stick up for John, not to mention how impressive HawkGirl kicked their asses. however we didn't get to see Kyle Rayner or Hal Jordan until JLU, I also like how John starts to doubt himself worthy of being a green lantern, but then realized he doesn't need to believe in himself because his friends already believe in him, it's Phil Lamar at his finest, the best part about this episode is how flash volunteers to defend john as his lawyer and how the judges say that they "solved their lawyer problem" which in real life standards is really unfair and unjust but the league made the judges and their prosecutor realize how stupid they make themselves look in font of their own court and jury, maybe if they decided to live with their "Lawyer Problem" they would have avoided this utter humiliation, I give the Flash a salute for his loyalty to his fellow leaguemates,
But speaking of hereafter. Netherrealm can we get that future super man costume in injustice. That shit is fucking awesome
I clicked on this video for Doug and yet I received Walter! Whelp Walter, you've earned another friend brother
I grew up with Starcrossed the Movie on DVD, and, without watching the show, I was mildly confused about it, but was entertained very well.
You’re right (Teen Titans Go has the Justice League appear but as recruiters)
I am so obsessed with this show and unlimited, that I literally have to keep myself from watching one episode or else I will binge watch the entire show. This video just broke that restraint!
I suppose the episode where Superman gets in a state of hypnosis and dreams of his family on Crypton, is going to be in the Unlimited video.
This show is my child hood
You hit this list right! Though the best episode you left off would, in my opinion, be the first episode of the second season where Darkseid and Braniac go to war. The tension between Superman and his enemies is amazing due to it following after the Superman series finale.
FINALLY!! Thanks Walter
This is one of my favorite animated shows, it introduced me to a lot of DC heroes I didn't know about. I like most of the episodes on the list, but here's some of favorites (that wasn't on the list):
Secret Origins, The Enemy Below, Paradise Lost, The Savage Time, Wild Cards
It is very hard to argue with the list, but other honorable mentions: Wild Cards was really all about the Joker and that episode really shows what makes him such a menacing villain.
War World was pretty much ripping off the plot of Gladiator, but it shows Superman's best quality, which is helping/inspiring others (especially Draega) to better themselves.
And Hearts and Minds was a good honorable mention, GL had to retrain to become stronger, Flash and Kilowog had such a good dynamic, Despero was a solid villain, and the final speech from the J'onn/Py'tar fusion was also very uplifting.
Top 5 Hey Arnold! Episodes!
I actually like taking Doomsday. They're too many yelling mindless beasts out there and very few even display emotion.
Aw man, Warworld was just an HONORABLE mention? "He's more than that-HE'S A SUPERMAN!"
You just brought the feels with number 1. What I liked about Justice League it was not only connected to Batman the animated series and Superman the animated series; it had Static Shock, Batman Beyond and implied Teen Titans under its umbrella.
I only had about one or two dvds back when I was a kid and they had the episodes of war world and those where they fought hades....man it was good time
You forgot to mention that "Starcrossed" has the single greatest Alfred line in DC history;
*after the JLA has taken out a platoon of Thanagarian soldiers and left their unconscious bodies scattered all over Wayne Manor's front lawn* "I've asked Master Bruce to refrain from leaving trash in the yard"
Nice Hey Arnold reference at the end. :D
I was going to say "Epilogue" till Of realized that's from Unlimited. Best of the whole series to me.
4:26 yeah...I was really glad that they changed voice actors for his return in Justice League Unlimited
Channel Awesome next year are you (bleeping) kidding me!?
My favorite is "The Savage Time".
The Justice League meeting WW2 heroes like Steve Trevor, the Blackhawks and Easy Company.
7:58 I can imagine Batman giggling and smiling under his mask, Clark is dead... yes!
