thank you sir. Somehow those nozzles broke when i was pressure washing my car haha. Now i know how they should be mounted and if i need to replace them :D
Nice video. I'm also a proud owner polo gt tdi 1.6 2014 model. Following your team bhp thread since you bought the car. Great upgrades and you teached alot of things.
Hey! Thank you for the video! I'm a girl from Sweden and Polo is my first car. Unfortunately couple of days ago when I tried to change the nozzle, the locking mechanism (elbow with black locker ) cracked. In the hignsight I should have known better than changing the nozzle on the street at -10, but I was desperate to get some cleaning liquid on my dirty window standing on the curb of the road (nozzle was missbehaiving, got full of crap, I think, so I bought spare, just didn't manage to change). So now the black locker on the elbow is broke. I ordered the new one and waiting for it, but the old one seems to sit super tight in the pipe, how does one remove it? Pure force? And even if I remove it, how can I put new locker in the pipe, is there any tips? Maybe some hot water to expand the pipe end? Thanks for all advices! Girl needs to learn nowadays
Hi Holsheftn (how do you pronounce this? Holshefen?). The locking mechanism of the nozzles on the Polo are a joke, really. It is a press on type and you have to just unclip it with force. Nothing else. Do you have some WD40? Spray it around near the clip. Although WD40 is used to loosen hardened fasteners like nuts and bolts, sometimes it works for cases like this too. Try it out. I did not clearly understand the locker in the pipe part. You mean pushing the hose to fit the nozzle? Are you going for an aftermarket hose?
Hi Vamsi, I just checked Boodmo and it is out of stock. boodmo.com/catalog/part-washer_fluid_jet_windscreen-5968619/ Please check with your local service centre. They will have a few in stock. Alternately remove the stock ones from your car and immerse them in a tumbler with vinegar for 2-3 hours. It’ll help in removing the scales and deposits inside the nozzle.
@@GaneshBalan Thanks! My rear windshield nozzle was blocked and had to clean it. It's working fine now. However, I tried removing it after removing the rear stop light assembly. The nozzle is attached to the light panel. I tried everything to remove the nozzle but I could not. Nonetheless, merely cleaning the nozzle worked. It was chocked with hard water deposits.
@@binod049 Please use RO water instead of tap water. Tap water contains salts which will get attached to the pipes and the nozzle. Can become a major pain to clean.
I was able to remove the nozzle, But unable to push it inside the bonnet slot ever after a lot of force (push). Does the 2 curved hinges on the nozzle suppose to be flexible?
Palash, it takes some effort to push the nozzle back into the bonnet. The hinges have nothing to do with this. Push them with some force at an angle and it should slot right in. You should have figured it out by now I hope.
Gurvinder ji, the tubing can be completely replaced with aftermarket tubing. I have replaced the stock one on my car with Toyota’s tubing. Hi Gurcharan. Which black tab are you referring to? On the nozzle? Can you send a pic to my mail ID - ganesh.amrita@gmail.com. I can guide you better.
My Polo’s rear windshield nozzle needs to be replaced.. I think the rear one is different from the front ones but I am not sure.
Hi Binod, the rear windshield washer unit is very different from the front units.

Buy a new washer man. If not OE ones, you get aftermarket ones for cheap.
