Sick vid, but ngl, you missed ALAMITOS, Long Beach, 22nd street in San Pedro, Redondo Beach Harbor, and Marina Del Rey, all really great harbors!.. But still props for hitting all these Harbors. Run it back and hit em all again!.. Salty Bass only 😁
Im from San Diego and my wife is from Paso Robles California. When we first started dating I would make trips up the coast just like this to go visit her. Hitting every pier, bay, and harbor possible with the same challenge. By far the hardest spot was Oceanside! Glad to see I’m not the only one lol. Love the video makes me want to do a trip like that again!
@@scottfsh so crazy. 17 inches is 10 years old and I feel they slow down like a 27 in would be 30 years old not 20. So prolly like 0.5 a year once they 10-15 years old. So slow to grow!
Yeah for sure, but I guess it depends how hard you fish. Just make sure you rinse it off after and take off the side-plate to re-grease when it starts squeaking
Dana point in Oceanside are really good harbors the two harbors I ever go to I haven’t gotten to Oceanside but we are thinking about it there’s a lot of opal eyes off the baby beach and Dana point rock are right off the ledge
BRAVO.... God is with you brother. omg the pretend end, then real end & you land THAT thing!?! THEN double dip'n non pain feeling sculp/scorp/thingee duz that!?!
@DP (lol cheating , taking the lil boat for deens and cudas, that harbor so loaded with that bait tank. i was there on FURY 10/1 thru 10/2 overnight... just missed you?
@@scottfsh only 14 people! We missed on the yellowtails although day before landed 17 of 40 large ones (30+) we did nice on the white fish and usually island fish.

Ive fished oceanside a million times, just a PS. Dont ever go again, a lot of karens and very little fishing opportunities. You will only catch fish if you sneak on the docks somehow and use a 10g submission jig.
I wanted to enjoy the show. And I did to a certain point. But the constant repetitive chime , like someone left there keys in the ignition, was too much
Fish can absolutely feel pain, please don't spread misinformation like this. Your viewers who lack critical thinking skills will take the advice to heart. If fishing in water abundant with round rays, consider barbless hooks. But if you can't properly handle these animals, please at least don't film yourself to "influence" others. Take a little extra time, respect the fish. These ecosystems provide for us, and we want to continue that well into the future. Cool concept for a video, and congrats on the success.

Haha that’s rad. I guess you beat us to it 🤙
Great job keeping this moving along in a compelling dramatic way. Didn't think I would watch for almost 1/2 hour but I wanted to see how it ended.
That ending 😂😂😂
These fish don't even know they are on youtube. Insane. Wheres the norcal sequel!!!
Coming soon!
As an Oceanside local our spots are heavily pressured but by the bait barge usually always produces
For sure, what do you usually catch over there?
@@scottfsh spotties, cuda, halibut, bonito, WSB, and striped bass…
That cuda bite in SD was sick
shots actually look crazy. what camera do you use?
Just a GoPro 11 and an iPhone lol. Get's the job done 🤙
2:44 head rattle LOLOL. oceanside LOL (wanted to leave so so bad) how long does it take for calico to grow 14 inches? slowest growing ish ever right?
I think it's around 6-7 years. But after 14 inches it's like an inch a year

hey dude you should do a tackle video for these socal harbors, local fishermen here and u seem to have these spots pretty dialed!
Sorry I missed this - I’ll definitely consider doing that in the future. Along with more educational bits 🤙
Thanks!
Do you think i could use my daiawa tatula ct for inshore if i maintain it right?
Yeah for sure, but I guess it depends how hard you fish. Just make sure you rinse it off after and take off the side-plate to re-grease when it starts squeaking
Nicely done
That reel is screaming more than me on cs:go bro..
How’d you get the boat at Dana point harbor?
Great idea for a video! You missed Los Alimitos? I guess that’s a harbor in a harbor though?
Honestly- I thought it was part of Huntington harbor. Maybe for a part 2 I’ll start there!
What is the first spot called? Please let me know asap because I am going tomorrow morning
Great video. Now you have to speedrun catching a fish in every harbor on the california coast, not just south of LA lol.
Next up!
Cool Challenge!
Thanks!! 🤙
Did you rent that boat at Dana or could you just use it to get bait?
Dana point in Oceanside are really good harbors the two harbors I ever go to I haven’t gotten to Oceanside but we are thinking about it there’s a lot of opal eyes off the baby beach and Dana point rock are right off the ledge
Yeah oceanside had tons of opaleye. Just a little too small for my hook

Thank you man!
This is for Steve Erwin 😂
Do you consciously close your nasal passage to sound like that?
💀
Good idea for a video
Appreciate it!
Sick!
Is Alamitos bay not considered a harbor?
Honestly- thought it was part of Huntington. I’ll have to start there for a part 2!
as someone who lives around oceanside, it hurts to see people catch fish everywhere else in cali.
Hahaha I'm sure it has some redeeming qualities right?
@@scottfsh uhhhhhhhhhhhhh next question please
You forgot Oxnard lol
Part 2 I’ll have to hit it hahaha
Just there yesterday
Which one hahaha
Mannnnn, u forgot Santa Barbara harbor😢
What about like Oxnard Ventura Santa barbara!!
Trust me, they’re happy he didn’t film there

Gonna have to go for a part 2!
That’s a lot of hours

PSA Warning do not fish at @19:55 at night that place is filled woth coyotes and they roam in packs , have a gun on you or a long stick
Oh for real? Thanks for the headups

Yeah something I’ve noticed as well. Not a whole lot of options. Maybe the jetties are decent?
aye bro no hate but turn the music dowqn while ur talking
Yeah dude appreciate that feedback. I did think it was too loud watching it back over

Missed redondo and marina del rey disappointing

Appreciate that feedback! Was it mostly the wind noise or just bad audio quality? I'll make sure to use an actual mic on my next shoot
