- I'm probably gonna get a lot hate on installing a wing on my FK7. But I honestly love the look of it. Its a smaller version of the wing so it's not an exact copy of the Type R which again I think looks absolutely gorgeous on this car!

I also got a similar spoiler and even tho they aren’t identical to the real one I still think they look nice. At the end of the day if we’re happy with how it looks that’s all that really matters
I had a friend who had wobble too. He drilled a small hole in side of black wing and filled both sides with spray foam for windows and doors. Fixed issue. It was taken apart while doing this
Mounted too high, wood drill bits, no washers reinforcing the screws, metal behind the trunk that was clearly mangled by a bear. This install video is clearly the wrong way how to do it.
Make a video then. Nobody cares about your halfway explanation. Just show ppl.
Two things. when you start driving and it already in process do not change angle as it makes drill to bend and break. second when you make a hole make sure you use a special spray that seals the metal so it will not rust nd to protect coat use primer or primer with any kind of a paint. now your car is dimmed to rust unless you make a seal.
You next time don’t use drill bits for wood
Small tip but when using drill bits always start from the smallest to make a good contact with the next drill bit or start with a pin punch 👍

The wing wobble demo was on 476 and the after shots were in the micro center parking lot at St. David’s square in Wayne, PA 😀
I ordered the same wing and i was wondering if you used the screws that came with it to install it onto the hatchback itself or did you get different screws? I'm having people at a body shop install it for me and I want to make to sure I have everything for them.
I used slightly longer ones as the ones that came with it were a little short.

So i saw this item before also in amazon but there is a warning that says "this does not fit your 2021 hatchback civic" is it ok?

Most spoilers have hardware to connect each piece. Use 3M tape, make your life easier incase you resell and need the OEM look. Made this mistake on my e36👌🏾
Yes. The wing came with 3m double sided tape. And you can definitely take the wing off any time. I might purchase a different wing in the future. But for now this will do!
@@chris_timefk8 where is the 3m tape will be placed? Looks like it will just flew off if its just a 3m tape
The 3m tape was placed under the wings leg/base? Not sure what to call it. But it helps with weather proofing and keeping the wing in place. Also it's not just 3m tape that's holding the wing. I drilled 2 holes on each side of the hatch and screwed the wing in place.

If it had had the version of the original fk8 spoiler, which is the type R, the holes are marked below the trunk
You've used a wrong drill bit. It is not for metal. That drill bit is for wood.
Use a drull bits for metal..not for wood!!..🤦♂️

Its a much smaller wing. I wasn't going for an exact copy of the type r wing since its only a sport. Still looks awesome in my opinion and it completes the look of the hatch for sure!👌

I used to live in the same exact area you just drove through. I actually got my honda civic hatch from the dealership on that road. How much was the new wing and where did you get it from? I have a 10th gen 2020 hatch and really want to mod it.

They come red on the Sport Version of the car.
On my 21 Civic Hatch EX I hit settings, system, background color. You can change it there.

Honda recommends 87 minimum. But they also said to get the most out of your engine use 91.
I always use 91.
91 from shell or chevron (mostly shell if it’s available)
I tend to use 95
95 octane is a minimum in UK. Otherwise will fuck your engine components. Average car engine lasts 100k miles. So good oil and fuel helps engine longevity
So happy I got a 6th gen.
