Driving by, watching minibikes race around under the floodlights at a circuit by the highway - that’s how Luca Marini’s career was birthed. A deep and introspective rider, Marini has brought a unique viewpoint and style of working to the Repsol Honda Team. Calm, methodical and analytical in his approach - Luca has made steady and consistent progress across the course of the season and has joined in fellow Honda riders in consistently battling together.
A critical season for Honda HRC as a whole, Marini is not only embracing changes on track but also in his personal life as he and wife Marta patiently wait for their first child. Just like becoming a Factory rider in MotoGP, it’s a change that Luca is looking forward to as he continues to grow and develop as a person. This is the Luca Marini away from the track.
