- Today I will be upgrading the Hosts of Mordor Precon. This precon is a little all over the place as it has two separate themes of spell slinger and reanimator. Also does have a touch on Orc Army support. Hope you enjoy the upgrade!

Some additional recommendations would be Hellkite Tyrant, another great reanimator target, The One Ring, just for flavor and Sneak Attack, to both use the creature and then send it to the graveyard.

Nope, hellkite tyrant sucks. Theres literally 20 better targets.
Nice video! I've been so hyped for this precon to see what everyone does to upgrade it since it does a bunch of different things that don't work well together. I could recommend adding the 9 Nazgûl with Cauldron of Souls, Haunted Crossroads, and Warstorm Surge. The Nazgûl can come back over and over again with Cauldron of Souls giving them persist. Haunted Crossroads can put your creatures back on top of your deck if you want to cast them from your hand and Warstorm Surge works great with the amount of large creatures in the deck (reminds me a bit of the intro from Fellowship of the Ring where Sauron smites a bunch of people). Also with numerous Nazgûl you can deal a ton of damage across the board. I don't know the price yet for Lord of the Nazgûl, but having a ton of spells can also create a bunch of 3/3 wraiths which can be buffed by your Nazgûl when you get tempted by the ring. The Witch-king of Angmar works also pretty well with this + you have a way of discarding your larger creatures to reanimate them later.

I’m basically doing the same. I’m pumping the amass and replacing Sauron Lord of the Rings with Sauron the Dark Lord. Im putting the Lord of the Rings in the 99 as a finisher/reanimation target
Nice! Reanimation is definitely the best way to go
Lord of the Rings doesnt activate his amass or mill/reanimation when you resurrect him. It specifies "cast". Still a great body to reanimate though.
Why not play bath song enchantment ? Draw 2 cards discard , draw 2 cards discard, take as many cards you want from graveyard and shuffle into deck, add 2 blue mana.
I looked through the saruman deck list and I would not use worn power stone I would replace it with the relic of sauron because it only costs one more and it gives colored mana as well as having card draw on it.
will add Sheoldred, whispering one to the deck. Reanimates and makes people sac their creatures is great!

I have the precon coming in the mail and I've had the new capenna grixis precon on my shelf waiting for inspiration on how to actually make it function consistently now I'm gonna use the white hand as the general as the amass token is perfect casualty fader for anhelo being my secret comander...

By the way, is it possible to upgrade the precon using "Sauron, the Dark Lord " as the front commander?
Thanks! I believe both do similar things in a way in a reanimator strategy. The Lord of the Rings is a reanimation spell, while The Dark Lord is dumping cards into your graveyard to reanimate.
Honestly the dark lord is just better period due to being easier to bring out and trigger.

This is the least fave precon.. I was kind of upset they dropped the ball with Him.. he should be the main one making orc tokens heavy not 'amass" smh
Plus they should have made it where he can't be counted imagine spending 8 mana only to e countered as soon as he comes out smh 😒
I think the amass mechanic with Sauron signifies the fact that he is the creator of the Orc race 😉
@@Rabid_Wombat true, but in the movies he made army's! That was his man thing.. I think it should have been him having an ability to make tokens mabey out a "triple " season effect
Keep in mind that his trigger is "on cast". So even if he's countered, you still get most of the benefit.

Look at the decklist in the description and on the sideboard. The sideboard is the cards I cut. I know my uses and they are few. But i did provide that
Took only five minutes for me - I just took out a bunch of the weaker Amass cards, easy 🙂
