The gunsmith's head being on Bello's shelf says to me that he used to be the shopkeeper NPC before being replaced. A sentimental reference by the devs.
My theory is that the witch and gunsmith used to be the original shopkeepers, but the gunsmith was beheaded, and something else happened to the witch. Thus, Ox/Candace, sensing opportunity, took their place.
I really want to believe that the gunsmith was a sort of different version of the munchers, melding instead of eating them. Though that very likely isn't the case I still like to believe.
i think you are forgetting the part where he literally debunked that idea in the video you are looking at where he puts up an idea, then completely ignoring him pointing out the fact the idea was wrong
Wouldn't it be cool if the "oldest function copy of gungeon" was a teaser for a new game, in which you play as the super space turtle. If it was i think labeling it "Oldest functional copy of gungeon" would be a neat way of hiding the fact that its not a version of ETG, but the oldest copy of the gungeon (like the place not the game) itself. Just a thought.
Would definitely be an interesting teaser. There is actually joke box art that Dodge Roll released for a 'Super Space Turtle Standalone Game' featuring a big ol' buff Space Turtle, but they made it very clear it was nothing but a joke.
I love how you kept in the laughs or giggles, or even a couple mess ups. It just shows that this video isn’t made by some person who is big on their ego. It also leaves a little mark that shows there isn’t an automated bot running this channel
Yeah, this probably confirms that ETG will gain a new update in future, a massive one, since mostly of the unused contents are mostly finished, and some are being in development.
@@samtar2756 And it's confirmed to be... canceled. Joy. Oh well guess we'll get a few things, and a new character, I guess, although it's just an Eden.
One thing about that text about the bullet's past is that it implies Agunim was initially the only one you'd fight in that past, and Cannon's influence simply faded.
2 thoughts. 1: This is speculation but i feel like "Gunsmith" could be Edwin, he's the main Gunsmith-type character i could hypothetically imagine still being in the Gungeon. 2: when you where talking about the "Beam Turret" there is 1 used turret not in a minecart, they're in Bullet Hell and shoot rings of fire like the Muzzle Wisps. Side note for 2: wouldn't the beams the Shelletons fire be a better comparison than Demon Head for a swaying laser?
for sure you can make lore collection vids about specific things like bunker, with the voice narrating your vids have really been coming together well :)
The Blacksword Guard's poses seem to resemble many actions that the character can perform. The top left seems to resemble the chest opening sprite, the bottom left seems to be a dodge roll, and the two right hand bottom sprites are a little strange.

hey boi, i found a cut enemy that can be spawned writting ¨bishop¨. The cut enemy is a bos that is called your own slow reflexions, just what happens when that spike enemy of chamber 2 kills you with spikes is like a big angry cardinal with a bird cage and a staff when it dies, he keeps screaming like bullet king when he is ded but he never explodes
I'd like if you could mention the fact that you can get cut guns in blessed runs. Also, that the cut gun 'fat line' can break chests in one shot. One time in a blessed run I had a black chests and wanted to check for a mimic but I had the fat line, and I one-shot the chest and destroyed it.
For some reason I always thought that "goon 2" is the minion for the better Since they are both green and they are both minions I think that's what might have happened to him in the future
The super space turtle as a playable character actually makes a small amount of sense because one of the cut weapons was a usable super space turtle gun
*Beam Turret* seems to be inspired by the *Beamos* from *The Legend of Zelda* franchise. Likewise, *Spinning Spike* seems to be inspired by the *Spiny Trap* also from *The Legend of Zelda* franchise. Some languages refer to the *Spiny Trap* as a *Blade Trap* instead, due to it actually having blades and not spines. It is also sometimes just called a *Trap* with no prefix or suffix.
I actually think the gunsmith is an early version of Ox, due to his stoic behavior, which is similar to golems in mythology and movies. Also, witches would probably be able to summon golems.
Out of curiosity, have you considered what you would do after revealing every bit of gungeon lore? I love the game and I really enjoy all of your content. Please don't stop being awesome
maybe the green blob shop keeper was like any other npc shop except that he would sell stuff for H-creds, you know, cause the meta-currency and he being there
A thing about the Tough Guy. You say he was cut from the Marine's past, but he was probably really memorable to the devs, since "tough guy" is amongst the Marine's nickname pool.
Me making up lore: what if that blacksmith golem looking man was a competitor of Bello. The blacksmith was a merchant who sold only guns, but he would take customers away from the shop. Bello murdered him and shelved his head as a trophy.
I think that the bunker wouldbe a cool boss if they changed some things about it. Add a door on the front, barred windows, and something on top like a satellite and it would look pretty cool. They could give it some attack patterns, and could add wheels to the bottom to make it less static (could also add some Howls Moving Castle refrences). They could have it move slowly around the perimeter of the room and could maybe even give it a second phase. If they added this boss, it would fit well as a 1st or 2nd chamber boss, but could be too similar to the wallmonger or treadnought.
It is kind of weird that the Hunter is the only one whose past doesn’t have additional enemies. The Marine has the imps, the Convict has the Hegemony troops, the Robot has the “humans”, the Pilot has the additional ships, even the Bullet has the Chain Gunners before the proper fight.
Yeah, cause Casey still has melee potential and purpose. Curse is finicky in Gungeon, but my point was that blunted blades don't have much melee potential, making them safe, whereas something big and blunt like a baseball bat is cursed. I should just avoid trying to explain curse, because the simple answer is that it doesn't make any sense.

is like a big angry cardinal with a bird cage and a staff
when it dies, he keeps screaming like bullet king when he is ded but he never explodes
So the act of melee combat being unholy in the gungeon means the bullet it not just a traitor, but also a heretic.
