  • Hey youtube. This is me playing Final Fantasy X HD on the PAL version and showing you how to farm Dark Yojimbo for infinite dark matter, infinite master spheres (rare drop) and for the best armour in the game that is Ribbon armour with Break HP Limit. The key is to only fight Dark Yojimbo 4 times in the cave and then leave the cave and return and he should be back. If you kill Dark Yojimbo in the cave 5 times then he will be defeated and you can't farm him any more so be careful. You will need these things before you can defeat him easy:
    1) My characters all had 30,000+ HP.
    2) My characters all had armour that had stoneproof or ribbon, auto haste, auto protect and Break HP Limit.
    3) My characters had the skill Quick Hit.
Here are the names of the armours you want him to drop for each character:
Yuna - Holy Ring (armour) Abraxas (weapon)
Tidus - Sanctuary (armour) Excalibur (weapon)
Auron - Solidity (armour) Heavens Cloud (weapon)
Wakka - Shutout (armour) Grand Slam (weapon)
Rikku - Impervious (armour) Kaiser Knuckles (weapon)
Kimahri - Acropolis (armour) Gungnir (weapon)
Lulu - Eternity (armour) Soul of Mog (weapon)
Thank you for watching. If you enjoyed please like and subscribe.

This is probably the toughest point in the game for me. I have done most of the work in farming monster arena and my luck nodes are now getting filled as all my other stats are maxed. Once that is done I need to get ribbon equipment or perhaps just stoneproof for now. Can Yojimbo be pretty well farmed with all maxed stats and stoneproof instead of ribbon?

+DownRightGamer Yes I think so. You just need to be fast in beating him. It has been ages since I played final fantasy x so I'm a bit rusty about the setups that can be effective against dark yojimbo but I think the main issue is being turned to stone so I think stoneproof equipment would work fine.

Angelo Alfonso Tayao When I had beat most of the game I couldn't beat the DARK Aeons or anything stronger so I set about getting the Celestial Weapons for every character or at least your 3 most preferably characters. It allows you to break the damage limit beyond 9999HP to 99,999HP if your strength is high enough which at your stage they probably wont do that damage till your strength is like 200+ but we'll worry about that later. So after getting at least 3 celestial weapons you will want to journey to find the two best aeons in the game which are Anima and The Magus Sisters. To receive Anima as an aeon, the player must have unlocked all of the treasures using the Destruction Spheres in each Cloister of Trials, including Zanarkand Dome. At Baaj Temple, the player must fight a boss named Geosgaeno (the first boss Tidus faces when he comes to Spira) in order to gain entrance to a sealed underwater room. Afterwards, the player views a cutscene and Yuna harnesses Anima's power. While en route to getting Anima when you get to Baaj temple make sure you have saved the game and keep fighting the boss Geosgaeno until he drops a weapon or armour with the ability No Encounters. He dropped a Baroque Sword for Tidus for me which has no encounters. Never sell the item he drops as it allows you to traverse FFX with the no encounter weapon equipped and you wont get any random encounters. After getting Anima you want to get the Magus Sister Aeon. To obtain the Magus Sisters, the two seals in front of the door to the chamber of the Fayth in Remiem Temple must be broken by using the Flower Sceptre and Blossom Crown. The Flower Sceptre can be obtained by defeating the first five of Belgemine's Aeons (up to and including Bahamut), who conveniently stands in the middle of Remiem. The Blossom Crown is awarded at the Monster Arena for capturing at least one of every fiend from Mt. Gagazet. After getting the two items, approach the chamber of the Fayth at the back of Remiem temple to break the seals and get your three new Aeons, Cindy, Sandy and Mindy. You can enter the chamber again to receive a Luck Sphere. In general, the Magus Sisters will have the highest stats of all the Aeons (particularly Sandy's strength and Cindy's HP), and as all three fight at once, will be a good choice for tackling the monster arena at lower levels. The catch is that you can't directly control the Aeon's actions, but only really 'advise' them i.e. choose whether to attack, cast offensive magic, support magic and so on. Once you get both these aeons you want to go to the Calm Lands and go east to the monster arena and buy capture weapons for your 3 main characters and go collect every monster per region of the game via the airship. It will unlock very powerful monsters that only your aeons can beat if your characters are weak. These enemies drop spheres that improve your characters stats via the node system. You want to kill try unlock an enemy called Juggernaut in the monster arena and kill him and he drops strength spheres which you add to your node system and it will improve all your characters strength. You will need about 20-30 strength spheres to upgrade your characters strength stats to 255 and if they have celestial weapons they will do 99,999HP damage to most enemies. Next you want to unlock these enemies in the monster arena and here are the spheres they drop to improve your stats.
      Accuracy - Drop from Hornet
      Agility - Drop from Fenrir
      Defense - Drop from Tanket
      Evasion - Drop from Pteryx
      HP - Drop from Ironclad
Luck - Drop from Greater Sphere
Magic Defense - Drop from One Eye
      MP - Drop from Vidatu

Another thing, in the macalania woods where your getting your celestial weapons powered up, there's a girl blocking the way...Is there a way or quest that i must complete in order for her to get out of the way? I've reunited the couple already but she's still there...

I talked to the man and woman, they are just saying that they are happy they got reunited with each other...Well anyway, i'll scour every nook and cranny of macalania and see what will happen...

Joel Ellie I farmed luck spheres from Greater Sphere in the monster arena and the characters I used in this video had 100+ luck. I'll check their stats tonight when I'm on the ps3 and get back to you on the exact figure.

yeah should also mention that you must need high luck to be able to do this. I can't even hit the son of a bitch and I have 255 accuracy but only 45 luck :/

    • @laconiansword5950
      @laconiansword5950  6 ปีที่แล้ว

yeah you need to farm luck spheres at the battle arena.

Where can I find the ribbon for ff x please!

    • @laconiansword5950
      @laconiansword5950  8 ปีที่แล้ว

If you have the PAL version of the game you can farm Dark Yojimbo for weapons or armour that have the ribbon ability already embued in the weapon. If you don't want to farm Dark Yojimbo or he is too hard you need to farm any of the monsters in the monster arena for 99 Dark Matters which are an extremely rare drop after the battle and they only drop 1 or 2 at a time so it can be very time consuming and then you can customise a weapon or armour with the ribbon ability. If you have the North American version you can't get the ribbon ability and there is no dark yojimbo. Hopefully this helps you out my friend.

The PAL version is the version released in European Countries. I'm from Scotland. I wasn't sure if you were on the ps2 version of the game or the HD remaster. I recorded this video on the HD remaster bought from the PAL region store which like I said before is Europe. I don't know if your HD remaster is based on north American version of the game. Which country are from my friend?

Seems to take around 2 mins or less to kill him I was timing myself because the 6 mins I mentioned earlier to a friend was dead wrong haha
It was also funny to see when my guys synced with yours and attacked at the same time only I just use normal melee no need for quick hit as it seems my melee was just as fast as your quick hit since it was totally in sync.
The 2 mins is actually with the running and the guy walking over to you if I was to say just the fight than its super fast, like my bevelle farming was.
Everything became super redundant after that farm... But that was just a test run to see how powerful I could get before the end game and I definitely beat my other two games.

CocoonsLastHope using Quick Hit is more about having the boss take less turns... not killing him faster... if you let him attack you more you end up losing more resourses (X-potions for one thing)

I am so late to this reply but I was deleting some notes I didn't need and happened upon this again and wanted to make sure no one said anything else :p
Anyways I guess that depends how strong you are because my last fight with him around a month ago I didn't use a single healing spell or potion, so I didn't waste a thing.
