    Delilah, as a grown-up homeschooler (whose curriculum had a STRONG focus on bookwork), I had to comment and say that you have set up and thought out your homeschooling plans soo beautifully! 🥰 I love how involved you are in their schooling and how much fun you're incorporating alongside the learning. You are doing such a fantastic job! 💕🙌🏻

      I though in Canada we had to bring our child to school. Like they do exceptions but we have to prove that they benefit from that with a special project (like if you travel a lot and they get to learn another language...something like that)

      @@erikaplante-jean7745 You have to check in with your school board district and province. The easiest way to explain this is you get put on a home-school list, where as Delilah mentioned at the end of the school year you must provide proof to the school board that the province's school curriculum was met that year. @erikaplante-jean7745

    You are a great mother and a true gift to your children. I admire you very much. Lord, thank you for giving me an example of a virtuous woman. I'm doing The Good and the Beautiful with my kindergartener right now and we love it! We did their preschool curriculum too and it's been working so well for us. Everyone in the comments saying it's a Mormon curriculum, yes the woman who created the curriculum is Mormon, but it's really vague (at least so far for us) talking about God and admiring His creation, nothing Mormon at all. And if anything comes up that's questionable, YOU are the teacher, not the book, and you can make modifications as you see fit.

    • @mktay2067
      @mktay2067 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is actually a lot of Mormon quotes and beliefs through it as they get older. Also the creators of the curriculum all state that all the groups involved are Christian. That is dangerous teaching that scripture tell us to not associate with. Mormons beliefs are a new gospel brought by false teaching.

    • @marievulliet8957
      @marievulliet8957 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi 😊 Could someone explain the difference between Christian and Mormon? I thought Mormons were Christian too and I don't really understand what they say that could be "questionable" for a Christian person?

    • @TamTam-lf9ys
      @TamTam-lf9ys 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@marievulliet8957 Hi Marie, as far as I know, Mormonism is a sect of christianity. Unfortunately, they subscribe to many doctrinal heresies such as polyamory, the idea that we can become gods in the "celestial kingdom" reserved for dutiful mormons. They also believe that God was once a man and that He had goddess wives whom He procreated with to produce "spirit children." These are just a few examples of the anti-biblical beliefs of mormonism.

    • @Sparksoflife777
      @Sparksoflife777 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@marievulliet8957 Yes mormons believe that once you die and Jesus comes back that you will as a christian/mormon become like God and have your own world to govern like a god and your family you had on earth will govern over the world with you and they also believe that Jesus is just a son of God and that Lucifer was also a son of God. Christians believe in the Trinity where Jesus is God and the Son of God. He was never created and always existed with God the Father. The reason He came to die for us is because we sinned against Him and He made a way for us to be restored/reconciled to God and Jesus paid the price for our sins and rose from the dead to conquor death. We believe Jesus will come again to judge the world who rejected Him and the Christians will be with Jesus forever. I know that is pretty shallow and not a great explanation but I hope that helps with the difference. We also cannot earn our way to heaven. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus. He just wants a relationship. When we accept Him He covers us in His righteousness. There is never a point that you can be good enough to earn your way to heaven since Jesus already paid that price and covered you in His righteousness. Mormons have to work for salvation. It is not just faith in Jesus.

    Grad of homeschooling(all 12 years for me) I highly recommend as your kids get older making bins for them with name, grade level, and all the work they do throughout the year. That way when the end of the year assessments come you know where everything is. As you get into middle/high school you go through so much work its good to keep it all sorted. Learnig without force, stress and pressure is the way to go. Our brains keep info long-term if we acquire it with interest, curiosity and personal context. School doesn't help much with that. To anyone who can make homeschooling happen somehow - I strongly recommend it. In my country it is forbidden with harsh punishment.... but I'll make it happen anyways. When you have a strong belief in sth the state can hardly stop you.

    Love this video and the new direction your channel is going! I also follow For the Love of Homeschooling and for those who don't know, they have weekly freebies on their website! My kiddo is almost 2 so we're not quite to official homeschool yet (we do a loose preschool style routine now with lots of library trips) but I love to save their freebies for when we're ready to start homeschool in earnest! I also love the alphabet one you mentioned in this video, I'll definitely be scooping that up when my kiddo is ready for it.

    I’m a recent subscriber and I really look forward to your videos every week! You do motherhood with such joy and organization and beauty and it’s inspiring! Your newborn videos have helped in my excitement to go through the newborn phase again when my second is born in the spring! Would love to hear more about how you find contentment in the day to day of motherhood. I know Jesus is the answer for me , but if you had any practical tips other than spending time with the Lord 🤗

    Delilah, I would love to be your "student" ;) Homeschool is very rare in Slovenia. We don't have a variety of curriculums available, also with one salary it is very difficult for families to make it through the month... That is why most of our children go to public school. I myself had good experiences with it (my mum was also a teacher at my school and she taught me Slovenian for 4 years - a funny experience). The advantage of our system is that we have paid maternity leave and can devote the first year entirely to the baby. If I had the chance, I would be at home with my children at least until they were three years old.
    My question is, what specifically is the christian part in the curriculum?

    What made you decide to home school. If they ask to go to school outside of home schooling is that an option in your area xx

    I do the best of both worlds I keep my kids at home but they attend/will attend an online public academy. I also have an 8yo 3rd grader, with a 3yo, & a just now 1 yo. I also wanted to traditional homeschool & purchase the good & the beautiful curriculum but I didn’t know we were going to have a new baby at the same time she would start & then not be able to afford that particular curriculum.

    This is great, I’ve just started home school in kindergarten/foundation stage 2 in Cyprus (we’re uk military) and I’m only just getting the hang of it apart from having patience with my 5 year old because her attention span is barely 15 minutes if that.
    I’m wanting to use memoria press for her curriculum next September for year 1 but shipping to the UK/cyprus costs so much on top of the curriculum.
    Do you recommend any others that ship to the UK that are Christian based but also budget friendly?

      The Good and the Beautiful that Delilah is using is technically free if you have access to a printer you can download the kindergarten English and math and print the lessons and hole punch them into a binder.

    What makes these Christian Based? I, myself am really interested and wanting to homeschool and being Christian based is so important to me! You claimed it a few times but I didn't catch what exactly makes them based on Christianity ❤

      We use The Good and the Beautiful Language Arts. It's not super overtly Christian but it is there. For instance, in the reading books, sometimes it will mention them praying. The lesson plans sometimes include paintings with descriptions that include "God made" etc. So it is there but it's not every lesson and it's not using Bible verses (not that we've come across yet, anyway).
