    OMG i wat'ched this as a kid! and when I was like 10 to 11 I went to cass railroad as a kid it was so much fun yea pretty cold but it was fun I"m almost 20 just a few months away

    In some of the 1960 video footage #4 looks like it’s painted red.

      It was. That was the color of paint they had in the shop at the time. Undoubtedly the same paint they used on the mill buildings and other rolling stock. As everything was on a "run to failure" track by that time, they saw no need to buy more "engine black". They were just keeping things in good enough repair to stay operational.

      their are whistle comparisions on yt you can try to compare it to that to those and see which is which if you have the time!

      @@koiyujo1543 I’m also interested to know what time this would have been. I assume it would be something different, as the locomotives look more like their pre-tourist forms, and are pulling a logging train.

      That would be a Mann's Creek Crosby 3 chime. This scene is during one of the mid 1970's photo excursions.
