Superfluous is right! I hate to see it but the whole season has seemed superfluous... Like we are pretty much back to where we were a while ago. Din Dijarin is back with his Covert... Bo Katan has her fleet back... Nevarro is being rebuilt... AGAIN... Grogu is sidelined... Now the Bo Katan stuff is cool. I guess she and Paz Vizla have progressed in this season. It's just horrible development of the other characters. Not to mention the way the New Republic is portrayed. But only the New Republic, but the Pirates, the Mandos. Everyone seems so DUMB in the writing. I get that they are trying to link this time period to how The New Order came to power for the sequel movies. But those plot lines in the sequel are STUPID so it's just making this show too look DUMB. I'm sorry it's just not good writing.

@@benjaminroe311ify Everybody knows that Star Wars done by Jar Jar Abrams totally ruined the Franchise in it's continuity, but that low niveau was continued in the new continuity until now. This episode is just more or less a satire of that, and it was very, very funny and entertaining. It's totally whacky, but I think, the actual writer ain't crazy like Jar Jar. A six til 10 yeared old doesn't care, too, and might be happy seeing such harmless action, but it's kind of a reconditioning towards a "new normal", so you should not consume that either. So in that regard it is quite good writing, because those watching it, can question it. I really don't know, why they can't keep things simple and enjoyable without having to use satire, while also making everything far more grey instead of black and white. Censorship is wrong, also claiming to be right, when you are wrong, too.

I said it before when Bo-Katan saved Din and I’ll say it again, ALL HAIL QUEEN BO-KATAN KRYZE!!!!
She needed to fall out of favor with her fleet because she needed to go back to her roots on Mandalore as well as spend time with the Children Of The Watch to completely rethink what it means to truly be Mandalorian. The Armorer was very wise when she said that Bo-Katan can walk both worlds, she can TRULY unite her people and finally take back their homeworld.
And Lizzo was okay, but freaking JACK BLACK and CHRISTOPHER LLOYD! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯These men were such a massive part of my childhood. Also I’m 100% for droid rights!

Din is an honorable kid who seems quite happy with his place on the wheel. He has no desire to lead in the fashion that Bo is looking to do. He trusts her and is willing to play his part as long as his personal freedoms and Grogu's safety aren't violated. Simple, centered. Enviable, really.

There is a lot of connective tissue in this episode. At the beginning we had the runaway prince whose bounty was offered to Din Djarin in episode one which he refused in lieu of the higher paying bounty that brought Grogu into his life. I think also by assisting with the droid problem, there will be a moment where this nation will defend the Mandalorians at a critical moment.
Last episode the mention of beskar brought up the question of Mandalorian involvement with Moff Gideon’s escape. That should not even be the first thing that comes to mind since it is well known that Mandalore was looted of its beskar by the Empire during the purge. Din was paid for Grogu’s bounty by beskar with the imperial symbol on it and k Persians just destroyed Bo Katan’s castle.
It may be imperials waging war against a small scale Mandalorian fleet that may need assistance from the New Republic and we know Elia will whisper the worst in anyone and everyone in authority to make sure that does not happen. With this in mind, I see how the episodes connect even if it is not in manner that everyone agrees with.
Sonny and Kat are the most adorable couple ever.

This episode was a good mix of light heartedness and the series stuff. It entertained me and did have some surprises in it. I do believe this episode is also the calm before the storm...as the saying goes. We have two more episodes and I believe they will be intense ,with a surprise or two,but definitely a cliffhanger ending no one completely expects, possibly even a sad one too.
Some fans are divided on how Bo Katan has gotten the Dark Saber back this time, but I'm not.Din and Bo are a good pair, not necessarily romantic(as some seem to want), but they work well together. As of now,it's not really apparent how this episode will connect to the rest, but I trust that we will see how by the finale.

I get it, it does seems like we’re off our original quest. The previous two seasons were about bringing Grogu back to his kind. However this season, the journey has been to get redeemed - that was accomplished early on - and now we’re moving the goal post further back without defining it. Are we:
    1. Bringing all Mandalorians together, in all their diversity, into one people?
    2. Reinhabiting Mandalore proper (the planet)?
    3. Finding Moff Gideon?
    4. Finding Thrawn?
    5. Suppressing the technology of cloning?
All five (5) quests are worthy of a Star Wars story IMO, but someone in the show needs to state it clearly and we need a somewhat linear narrative in pursuit of that (with side quests of course part of journey). But I’m not sure we’re on either track. Either way, it’s Star Wars and one day we’re going to look back on this as indispensable canon and good times.

I’m going to vent. This episode was disappointing to me. I don’t know why anything was happening. People are trying to look at the bright side and some may have genuinely enjoyed it (I envy you), but it’s evident in all the reactions I’ve seen so far that it didn’t really move anyone like most of the other episodes have.
I don’t want you to tickle me with fun cameos if they’re not going to truly add to the weight of this story, you know? Man, that nanodroid fluid bit was random, but I was excited to see how it may have tied to the larger story that was unfolding, only to learn it was just doc who “would’ve gotten away with it too if it weren’t for you meddling kids!”
Why was Grogu knighted!? Cuz it was cute?? Put some respek on it!
I’m tryin not to be a hater so bad and just sit back and enjoy the show, but I feel like I got slapped with a space fish with this one.
Positives: Imperial droids always look cool, droid chase was fun, Bo’s falling lasso yank was freakin fresh as hell.

Hooes of getting a new group of people watching. They took a chance of soon bad publicity. By hiring a older out of work actor, a young Hip Hop star Lizzo (Melissa Viviane Jefferson). A comedian of the 90s and 2000's, famed in movies, cartoons in animation, video games as well as stage, Jack Black(Thomas Jacob Black), and a few other hidden cameo's.
All in hopes of bring in other crowds to watch. If nothing else is to watch to see their favorites.

I’m with Kat on this one, there was some stuff I liked about it but as a whole it didn’t really work for me. We’re so close to the end of the season that it was disappointing to get an episode that was mostly marshmallow fluff.

Going off a technicality was so lame. It’s not like Din even got captured while defending himself with the Darksaber.

I do feel that this season has been a bit disjointed. The first two seasons seemed to have more focus. The focus is off. Anyway, thanks so much for your reactions and may there be more focus the next two episodes. Here's to hoping. Take Care!

Not my favorite episode, but not my least favorite either. A bit random but still fairly enjoyable, mostly due to all the clone wars-references.

Viewers Complained all last season... Tatooine we're back on we're back on tatooine Again. In this season of the Mandalorian we've been introduced to at least five new planets and people still find other things Now to complain about 😞😞😞😞

The episode was fun enough, but the 'cameos' took me out of the galaxy far far away. Personally, I would have preferred a character cameo than these 3 actor cameos. The whole season has been.. disjointed.. fun yes.. but where is the over arching story woven through the quest of the week. Although on the whole I have enjoyed the season, it has been somewhat disappointing and of the three, it is my least favourite up to this point

To use a weak plot to say a "rescue" was in fact a "fight" isn't fun for us viewers.
Disappointed Din and Bo didn't have a yield fight to own the Dark Sabre in front of her followers. We had a fight OK but with the wrong combatants. Would have cut Jack Balck and Lizzo out so I would have money left to film Din and Bo fight for the DS. Wasted plot and wasted special guests too.

I pretty much despise people that get on lizzo for nothing, for being herself for being overweight.. they’re losers. Saying that… my girl can not act to save her live. It was hard to watch her scenes with dialogue.
