Photography in Peru (Sony a7R V + Contax T2)

Peru has been one of my favorite destinations since the moment I stepped off the plane in 2023. I liked it so much I planned this trip to hike the Salkantay Trek just days after returning home from that very first visit. Come along as I hike the Salkantay Trek, visit Humantay Lake, roast and grind my own coffee, stay in unique backcountry accommodations and experience Machu Picchu for the second time. Which, I might add, is all the more beautiful than I remember.
I filmed and photographed this video entirely on the Sony Alpha 7R V with the 24-70 f2.8 lens (and a couple iPhone clips). I wanted to make sure I was only carrying what I truly needed - I've found that having a lot of gear on trips like this can often bog me down and cause me to overthink a situation. My 24-70 is always my go to travel lens.
