Oui, une personne vivant au niveau de la mer au Pérou pourrait rencontrer des problèmes d'oxygénation en se rendant en altitude, comme dans les montagnes. L'air y est plus rare et contient moins d'oxygène. Les symptômes du mal d'altitude peuvent apparaître si l'ascension est trop rapide, il est donc important de s'acclimater progressivement pour éviter ces problèmes.
