MCU HQ Idk, I didn’t think he should have disappeared. It’s canonical that being able to become a ghost takes years of training and even some of the most powerful Jedis were unable to do it, so it felt off to me that someone who never finished his Jedi training, and had just turned his back on the dark side would be able to do something so extraordinary

I agree. It is easy to complain about things. Bonus points to those who actually acknowledges the layers of value weaved into this story. I loved it - and it's hard to even imagine it being anything different.

I think Rey's decision to take on the Skywalker name is indicative of not so much a blood relative thing, but a decision to take on the Skywalker persona, and reject the Palpatine persona. You can be whatever you want to be, Rey learned that early in the final SW trilogy.
