- Dragapult ex isn't the only playable Stage 2 coming in Twilight Masquerade on May 23rd. Greninja ex is a Fighting type that pulls double duty as a control AND spread Pokemon!

But will Greninja be able to control my hand from wacking off?
Okay what the frick
I have a background in mtg, so seeing tutor being on a 1 energy attack is giving me an aneurysm
Whoever is making these cards is on 24 street drugs and stimulants as well
Not as Broken as you might think, the current meta is balancing very good actually
@@meemfalker mind giving me a breakdown of the meta rn? I want to get into my local scene but i'm not overly sure where the game stands right now.
@@realname4430 It's kinda hard to explain through text but ill try lol. Pokemon is in a pretty good spot rn ngl. Temporal Forces was kinda rough for about 2-3 weeks cause Charizard just murdered everything, but with the newest set we got Dragapult making swings, Greninja ex, Gardevoir ex is getting support, new grass support (fucking finally). There are plenty of "Competitive decks" to where you'll defintely find something. Pokemon's balancing, at least to me, seems pretty good compared to things like yugioh and the little bit of mtg standard i played. It's really cheap rn, it's only as expensive as it is rn because of ace specs, but you only have 1 a deck so all's good. But at most you're looking $50-$75 for a 100% competitive deck. Maybe $100 depending on how blinged out the deck is. For normal local play, probably around $40 to $50 a deck.
@@realname4430 Zard started getting a bit worse due to Chien-Pao which is now bdif, dialga vstar is running rampant and every other deck is just something except when twilight masquerade comes out then dragapult will ruin everything, hope you enjoyed
I still think boomerang is going to see play in Greninja. You don't need to attach two and you are likely going to have 3 turns if you go first. 1) attach water to basic 2) attach any energy and evolve to Greninja if possible, then attack with first attack 3) attach boomerang in not attached in turn 2 and hit bench for 120. If they have no way to K.O. you, then you can do this attack again for 1 energy. Obviously, this can be setup on the bench as well.
The issue will be if this is worth it in terms of consistency or if you will ever get a 3rd attack. I think consistency is the biggest issue here. It's just faster and easier to play twin turbo and go low energy/lower damage.
If the issue is the unlikely-hood of a 3rd attack, I don't see the detriment to playing boomerang. Sure you might only ever get to use it once in every 7 games or so, but when it works it could 240 something on the bench. It's likely better than trying to setup a Bax and all the extra cards it requires.
Im so excited for this card. Been having a grudge against Turbo Hands so this will be very fun to use for revenge
Can Greninja ex apply weakness to bench? Normally it would say don't
It's just a proxy right now, so we'll have to wait for the official card.
Spread their WHAT????
this is gonna be good in pao
That’s what I’m sayin
How they gonna balance with bax?
Welp, time to put Manaphy back into my Chien-Pao deck!
And maybe add a greninja ex in the deck, could be fun.
@@Petit_Kiwi_Rouge Probably not worth running an additional stage 2 line to it. I think that Wellspring Ogerpon works as a mini Genrinja though.
The turbo energies are not it boomerang better 🗣️
Would it be pointless to get the Greninja Ex with torrential slash if this one coming out?
Not pointless, it's just that Fighting Greninja is good to go with a single energy. Water Greninja needs 2 Water attachments before it can really do anything (the Palkia build would be best if so).
I am. Not a fake fan please forgive me pilot !
Gardevoir is gonna walk all over this deck lol
This is what Garchomp ex should have been
True
im a bad fan, plz forgive me daddy pilot. i prefer dry feet anyway.
Dragapult is just better as a spread/offensive deck. Zard is better as an offensive/control deck.
This card is just unfortunate. It is outclassed awfully
As someone who has been playing Greninja ex solely because Greninja is my favorite Pokemon (the card sucks), I’m just really glad that the new Greninja is actually good!
