- This is my deck list for the new Greninja Ex that came out of Twilight Masquerade. If you used to play Rapid Strike Urshifu then you will for sure love this deck! This deck list is very similar to Charizard Ex because it is using the Pidgeot Ex engine. Leave a comment if you have any question about this deck or critiques on how I can improve this deck.

Thanks for the deck list, I really see a lot of potential in this deck, although I also think the new boomerang energy from the same set can benefit the deck if you don't want to discard a lot of energy.

The cool thing is that since you discard the Double turbo before you attack, your 120 damage isn’t being reduced since the DT isn’t ATTACHED

Thanks for the list! I’ve been trying it out myself as I will probably be using it a lot. I found that 2 tm devos help a lot into charizard and also I’m guessing dragapult
I feel like most dragapult list doesn’t really run that much rare candy. They always have the 2nd evolution to use the drawing ability
@@royalillest ye, I never had the chance to look at any dragapult lists but it seems to help a lot into zard. I think the radiant tsareena is a very cool inclusion

Cooked up a different list and my local is allowing it this week so hopefully I get some game plays in
Been trying out a similar deck with Luxray (swelling flash version) and BM Ursaluna. The deck plays a bit slower, opting to fall behind so I can use hand disruption cards, counter catcher, defiance band and reversal energy. It works pretty well, and I think all Greninja needs is a good secondary attacker to shine.
In my opinion the bumarang Energie is the best special energie for this Deck

the TM devolution is really good against zard, pult, greninja mirror, chien pao, etc

Try it with froslass, That is the version i am excited to build. Putting damage on pokemon every turn stacks up quick
I just feel like 10 damage is so low plus only to Pokémon with abilities?!
@@royalillest I felt the same, but I got to try it out on prerelease and with 2-3 of them and using hyper aroma to guarantee it. It weakens ex Pokemon but also takes out engines dpults second evo/Bibs and the like

i really loves greninja, i've tried frostlass version n pidgey version. but neither are sharp enough to fight garde or raging bolt. any suggestion?
I think right now greninja isn’t looking good in the meta sadly. Maybe in the future the deck will get more support
Just bought the Greninja’s and proxying them for play testing until the real ones arrive

Played this and the Froslass version. Had to say this one feels more consistant and much easier to set up. Curious about ur opinion :)
I have been playing the froslass version more, I like it but I didn’t really tested out the pidgeot version that much so I think I have to try it again
i think you should make this deck with frosslas instead of pidgeot. if you made a deck list, that’ll be cool.

Hello! I would like to ask if the DTE debuff still applies if I am using Mirage Barrage? Since the 2 cards get discarded in the first place.
DTE debuff would still apply. Because the attack resolved first before discarding. Pokémon TCG live is wrong

What about the boomerang energy for greninja ex, would those work better than the double turbo?
Not necessarily because you have to attach all the energy by hand (theres no exceleration) so its to slow to set up compared to DTE and a single attachment

Why dont you use boomerang energy from teilight masquerade as the second attack from greninja ex discards 2 colorless enegies but the boomerang energy prevents you from doing that
It’s not needed because you mainly use the first attack. Manaphy is in every deck so u will rarely use the second attack
Question have you thought about using Irida? If so why didn't you decide to use it? Or if you wanted to use it where would you sub it in?
I was thinking about irida, I would take out an arven cause they do similar things
You can play greninja ex with frosslass too, in that case is worth it to have irida

The double turbo on greninja 2nd attack will make it do 100 to 2 pokemon right?
correct! which is still good against decks like lost box or any other single prize deck

It could work, I’m still currently testing on what is the most optimal build
I'd rather run it with froslass cuz greninja already has a built in search engine🤷 so no point in going with pidg.
But that’s after you attack what if u need a certain card during your turn
Wait so if manaphy is in the active spot his ability still works I thought it only worked if he was on the bench?
If you use canceling cologne when you boss up the manaphy it will cancel it for that turn

100 damage to two I believe

it does 120 to both it’s not damage from the attack it’s damage from the effect of an attack

If u discard the dte from the attack it does 120 but if u don’t it’ll still do 100

My initial thought was radiant greninja but since dragapult might be best in format so tserna is better
