I feel a little crazy, but I feel like she played Chapter One??? I remember watching her playthrough but now I can't seem to find it.... Anyone else remember this or am I just misremembering?
I am SO invested in this now!! I love all things Sherlock Holmes, and one thing I really found myself appreciating about this game's depiction of him is how.... human, they make him? I think a lot of modern depictions lean too heavily into the "cold, emotionless, jacks off to his own logic puzzling and thinks everyone around him is stupid" characterization, and it was refreshing to see a Holmes that can be scared and confused, can need help, and doesn't just know everything in 5 minutes by ridiculous leaps to conclusions that somehow end up being right. I think the "deduction" mechanic is a little on the clunky side (the section where you put together pieces of evidence around the "brain" to come to conclusions); there are some times where it seems pretty obvious what needs to be done, but you can't move forward until you put together the correct vague phrases to "deduce" that. Other than that, I can't wait to see what happens next! I was just thinking how it was a shame that Watson pretty much just follows you around, because he can be a pretty badass character in his own way, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the next section with playable Watson is going to be!
I definitely hope you give the other games a shot as well. Especially Arsene Lupin and Jack the Ripper which are still some of my favourite mystery games ever! Yay for Sherlock Holmes 🎉

Gab, just wanted you to know that there is one side mission in the Chapter I that you have missed. If you are curious about it, you can easily play it after finishing the game (it's in the alley near the bookstore) :)
Oh...I just clicked on this and I'm both nervous and excited. The original game from 2007 is probably one of my faves from the Frogware Sherlock series. My adventure with these games started with The Case of the Silver Earring, and I absolutely fell in love with it. Edit: I already see the changes. In original there was a barman instead of barmaid and there was much less spooky Void stuff and whispers. The supernatural element was much more vouge and implied. Since back then, I guess, the stories were following the rationalistic canon of Sherlock Holmes a bit more. which changed(at least for a while) with Hound of the Baskervilles Hidden Object game. So, I'm guessing when they did the remake and saw they did directly paranormal stuff they might as well go for much darker and spooky tone here.
Ohh, I remember playing the original back when I was a kid. I've heard they made some changes to the story. Can't wait to see them as well as Gab playing one of my favourite games (although a remake).
I remember watching the trailer for the game and it looks amazing! I'm not a big fan of detective like games, but who can say no to Sherlock Holmes? After watching the Little Hope gameplay I'm ready for this other series🎉
Congrats on 1 Million Gab!!! You deserve it ❤😭 So glad to have been along the ride, seeing your channel grow and always enjoying your company. Thank you so much for all that you do, you've brightened many of my days! Also as a New Zealander myself, its so interesting to see Maori representation in this game. I actually live about 30 mins away from a place named Kimihia! I mean... its unfortunately unsurprising (for this time period) that the character is a slave... but we can appreciate shining a light on the reality of colonisation and its effects on indigenous peoples. Plus cool to see respectful homages to Maori culture with mentions of Taonga (like the Nugru/ nose flute) and legends/ folklore (like the Taniwha/ supernatural serpents).
I love how they just have random character models that wouldn't exist in that time period, or if they did exist, the circumstances would be totally different 😂
CONGRATS ON 1M GAB!!! If you're liking this game and looking for a good book, I *hiiiighly* recommend the Cthulhu Casebooks series by James Lovegrove. It's Holmes uncovering Lovecraftian mysteries and so good!
I had the fortune of being off work on the Monday that this aired on Twitch, so I had a chance to watch this early and with a live chat. Tbf though, I do like seeing it here on TH-cam too. The editing is phenomenal, namely when Holmes is checking out Barnes' booty. Sherlock is my goto for mysteries. I've read bits of the book(s), watched some of the classic shows, including the Cumberbatch and Miller/Liu series set in modern times. The RDJ films were also some of my favorites esp with the Zimmer soundtrack and the precalculation scenes. Finally, congratulations on 1M subs. It's well deserved. I can still remember hearing about you a few years back when Sean introduced you on his channel. I'm glad to see you two still doing well (well three counting BB). And your videos are often soothing and funny to watch.
Try Chapter One it’s really good and acts as a prequel to this game even though this is a remake . It has more of an open world feel and has collectibles and more side mysteries to solve! The disguise system is really cool too.

Oh my god yessssss I've been crossing my fingers for a gab playthrough of sherlock holmes games! The old ones are super fun and the Testament of Sherlock Holmes is especially great. I love this channel ❤
I can't wait for more of this series omg

congrats on 1 mil Gab, you deserve it xx
You have no idea how long i’ve been waiting for you to play chapter one and the awakened!! I played the whole thing in one sitting on release day. So glad to see youtubers like you supporting they’re studio given what’s going on in Ukraine. Hoping to see Chapter One soon!!
These games are so much fun. The first one is a bit more “open world” while this one is a bit more linear. So excited to watch you play 😊😊
YES, I'm so happy you're doing this series! (I really needed this today, thanks Gabs)
Congrats on 1 million, Gab!!!! There isn't anyone more deserving
I love this! One of my favourite youtubers playing one of my favourite game series (Sherlock holmes). Cant wait for more!!!!
So happy to see you playing a Sherlock game. I love these games.
Congrats on 1 mill! Well deserved 🎉 to many more egg dippyssss❤
Heck yeah! This seems so interesting. I really hope it's some actual Lovecraftian stuff though and not just drug induced madness. Can't wait for more!
🎉CONGRATULATIONS 1 MILLION🎉 i’ve been following your channel for so long, so happy you got here 🥳
CONGRATULATIONS ON 1 MIL GAB!!!! I was literally counting down the days till you would hit 1 mil, and I always knew you’d make it ;w; I’ve been watching you since your Ikenie no Yoru play through and I’ve been supporting since then, I’m so happy for your achievement T-T Congrats Gab!!!
Congratulations on 1M! This game is almost as good as Nancy! Really enjoying it.
YESSSSS! Frogwares Sherlock Holmes games are my favourite!!!! So excited for this! Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper is by far my favourite of the lot. They do have an order to them, but it's more for the Easter eggs rather than major plot.
Nice playthrough. Some people still use penny farthing (the weird bike). When I lived in Ealing in London a guy used to cycle pass by on one every so often. They look absolutely terrifying to ride..
I went into this not knowing how I’d fee since I typically don’t like games of this sort, but this is so intriguing and I can’t wait for the next part! also CONGRATS ON 1 MILLION SUBS!!! you 100% deserve all of them and have grown to be one of my favorite creators on here :)
1. Congrats on a million! 2. Seeing a Māori character in a game is so cool considering I’m Māori
I love Sherlock Holmes Stories. So happy you played this game!
I feel with how often that Sherlock and Watson mention meat pies and pints that they're actually just Frodo and Samwise!
Congrats on 1 million! You should play Shadows of Doubt, it's a really interesting immersive simulator that's all about uncovering murders and other mysteries. Cheers!
congratulations on 1m!!! absolutely deserved. this game is fun and I hope we get to see more of it with you!
Happy 1 mill Gabs! Much love to you all all of the community, well deserved ❤❤
Gab, just wanted you to know that there is one side mission in the Chapter I that you have missed. If you are curious about it, you can easily play it after finishing the game (it's in the alley near the bookstore) :)
Next crossover: Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery Meat of Fleet Street.
Omg i’m literally almost done watching all of your nancy drew videos so perfect timing
So excited for this series :D
Congratulations on 1M! I'm so happy for you, and you definitely deserve it!!!
Ohh, I remember playing the original back when I was a kid. I've heard they made some changes to the story. Can't wait to see them as well as Gab playing one of my favourite games (although a remake).
What a great beginning of a sherlock game.... and all with my favorite youtuber... cant wait to watch the whole series...
I always recomend crime and punishment, its a little old but such a gem of a game, their house in this game is the same and I just got nostalgic
OMG so glad Gab is playing this! I was almost ready to play it myself since barely anyone was uploading this game WITH commentary
Congrats on 1M!! Been waiting for this series
I remember watching the trailer for the game and it looks amazing! I'm not a big fan of detective like games, but who can say no to Sherlock Holmes? After watching the Little Hope gameplay I'm ready for this other series🎉
1:18:29 had me laughing out loud! 😂
Sherlock: "Help me, please."
Random dude: "No, sir, I've never heard of it."
You've never heard of HELP?!?! 🤣🤣🤣
Nothing like a new Gab video to make my work day more enjoyable lol ❤️
