It was interesting to see a day of architecture student in UK. I remember my students years which I've spent learning Architecture. We also used 3d software and hand drawings sometimes combining them into one project. I started my studying on the edge of two eras-( digital and analog) .The students, before us, used airbrush and Archicad, Autocad Arch., 3ds Max after us. So many years passed but how your way of studying close to a way I did. Maybe I've seen in this video a future Calatrava , Foster or Mayer. Who knows . Good luck, creative success and wealthy customers to you.
I'm from Perú so it may vary a little bit since I'm taking Architecture and Urbanism, in my first year we did projects that come in contact with the culture, sites with patrimony significance (you know the Inca culture, etc.). Keep it up, its interesting to know the approach other parts of the world takes.

That’s really interesting! Yes, I think because most of our projects have been very elementary and focussed on design skills/standards they have been less applied but I think we will be much more ‘culturally intertwined’ as I move through the course too. Best of luck w your studies:)
Hi Callum ... Sir Hugh Casson, who was an architect, artist, President of the Royal Academy and a Cambridge man said 'Cambridge is the most beautiful University city in the world'. I think he was right! Glad you're there and having a great time. Enjoy every moment while you can. They may be the best moments in your life! Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
@@CallumHenderson What you are doing is important. Before the digital revolution it was impossible for students to record properly their lives at university. So produce as many videos and take as many photos as you can. If you want to look at great images in 30 years' time then you have to do it now! When you get older you'll have a wonderful record of this time. And you're also learning how to make good videos and films - a skill that will pay off later in life. I'm only sorry you have to cope with Covid 19 - but you' managing, staying positive and getting the best out of life. I can't understand people in the past who rubbished their time at Cambridge. They didn't deserve the wonderful opportunities that were offered to them. So it's nice to see a modern student who does realize what university is all about. Onwards and upwards as people used to say!
The fact that you're using cad without a mouse for doing that much work! I only do that when I want to check something quickly and it still takes time.

Of course, things look rather different to usual with the implications of the pandemic, yes.
