You definitely have to be some kind of millionaire to afford all of this because this is not cheap, Non of it. But hey Kudos to you for doing it 3 times woww
Thanks for making me an idiot LoL talking to a friend at Everts about putting one on my property in North Pole LoL I miss working on those old birds. I am 65 and been flying since 1977 and no I don't have my license I had been flying on my student license until the paper license went away I was grounded. No people not good to fly the way I did but I was a mechanic, crewchief and flight engineer on CH47 Chinook helicopters in Alaska high altitude search and rescue so I have extreme experience above and beyond normal aviation people I spent 9 years in the Army six and half years flying in Alaska then back as civilian.
Great work, what this made me think most of is how many trips to Menards we make when doing a rehab. You certainly need to plan well with an unusual build AND remote location! ✈️ 🤔
It’s pretty short and soft field, too short and too soft for those big birds.. great for landing big tire bush planes… the new crosswind strip is fantastic.
There are lots of people had done large planes for AIR BNB. Don't be that guy as a youtuber who think they have money and be cocky about it. Are there people in the past who have converted airplanes into homes? Yes. But there are only a handful in the world that you can stay in as a Airbnb and even less have showed an audience the process of said conversion.

Love seeing this DC-6 being put to another use.
I worked on many of them (C-118’s) in a Navy cargo squadron over 50 years ago.
It’s been awesome to help with it and see the progress… I’m still amazed at how awesome they are turning out. Proud of the work you’re doing!
Can’t wait to see the T-tail deck when finished. Hot tub on the wing tip of triple 8dg would be great.
I admire this kind of creativity and repurposing, well done!!!!!
Man....bush flying cabin of the kings!
Yessir!
Way to go, Fly8MA! Congratulations on your success.
Thanks so much!
You and your working crew are ingenious. Congrats.
Thank you very much!
If this isn't the apex of American ingenuity, I don't know what is! Super duper job, keep up the good work.
Gary Flagg USAF vet. Buffalo, N.Y.
Thanks Gary! It's a ton of fun having the freedom here in Alaska to build stuff like this!
Great video ! Thanks for such detail in all that it took to produce such an iconic use of a great old warrior plane !
Hope you put a video out once you get all the flight surfaces on
Would be cool to have the engines on it as blast 😁 Maybe startable too 👀
Oooh make it not a simulator in the cockpit, so you can practice when staying there.... Hmmmmm
That's the plan!
Just came here from the epoch times write up. Amazing work!! Very cool.
Me too. This is amazing.😊

Very interesting project and you did a very nice job describing the project. My compliments to you.
Thank you very much! Share it around for us!
Should of made some wind generators were the motors were with fake props.
great idea!
Just amazing! Loved watching this.....thanks so much for doing/posting this. I would live in it in a heart beat!.....although.....maybe in AZ. haha
Glad you enjoyed it!
Turned out great. Nice going 👍🏻🙌🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
N-888DG - I worked on this airplane for Don Gilbertson's Pacific Alaska Airlines at PAE and FAI many years ago.
It looks so cool. Good job👍
I'm glad you like it

Absolutely
These videos aren’t getting as many views as you deserve!
Haha, thank you! Share them around if you can!
Is it really $4,500 a week?
The cost for 7 days in the DC-6 is $3,843 plus Airbnb's fees. airbnb.com/h/dc6
I'm curious on the overall completed cost of one of these airplane houses vs a similar sized wood framed house.
Airplane house runs about $1,000/ sq ft, stick frame about $100-200/sq ft
I've seen a boeing 747 as a vacation resort. I'd love to see one as a residence. I just know that would be a huge house.
Our 727 is in place and getting prepped to build out for our briefing area, community kitchen, and coffee bar
A staircase inside a wide body section of fuselage fixed vertically, with the nosecone as the roof, would look awesome!
That would be cool
Nice!
nice!
I would like to see a cement runways being paved maybe upload resources to join your air Plane academy
Where did the funds come from generally asking
How do you find fuselage for sale? I cant find any. I just want the tube; no wings, engine, wiring, or seats. Halllllp
Most aircraft wont be sold parted out, especially one this size. Maybe check an aircraft salvage yard?
how come you're in the middle of nowhere ? how do you even own that kind of land ?
How much did you pay for the aircraft?
We might consider to make a break down video on one of our planes in the future.
If you have a air strip, can you fly the airplane in instead of chopping it up and shipping by truck?
It’s pretty short and soft field, too short and too soft for those big birds.. great for landing big tire bush planes… the new crosswind strip is fantastic.
Good question but way to short of a runway
Howzit!
This is house for aviation Hobbits because they like round shape :)
But the doors out of mainstream
Thanks
Correct!
