A beautiful car and as the owner says, very similar to a Rolls Royce. I know because in the 50s dad bought a 1932 RR 20/25 Landaulet Limousine for our family car. It cruised happily at 55 mph but would go faster. The engine was 3665 cc but had overhead valves operated by pushrod. In the 60s it was the first car I ever drove and yes, the gear lever and the handbrake were on the right of the driver's seat making entry and exit rather tricky. Dad said it was to encourage the chauffeur to use the passenger door so he could open the rear door for the owner to alight onto the pavement! I shall though always carry the memory of watching the flying lady leading us through the landscape!
Matthewsons had an Austin Mayfair a couple of years ago but it was a rare Landaulet with registration number ending 809. Of course this one could also ha e gone through their hands. Super car though.
