Hi watching your video because next summer we are doing this. I appreciate your in-depth explanation, I do have a couple of questions. What is the reason for not using trex for all of the boards? Here in Oregon, if we use wood boards, they rot within a short amount of time, so at minimum, we use pressure treated wood. Just curious how yours has held up. Thank you for the video!
Thanks so much for watching. I did indeed use treated wood for all the framing. You can totally go with composite framing, but I have never found it to be worth the money at least in my experience. Usually the decking needs replaced before the framing in my experience.
