Awesome video! Thanks for that detailed explanation! Much apreciated!
You are welcome. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
This is great info! I will set the grade for my miss and let her have at it!
This is so great!! Thank you.
daym everything I was looking for, gonna continue watching later for more features on my new watch but for now I got everything I wanted form the video after 3 minutes but I'm sure I'm interested in he other features presented in the video
Fantastic!! Thank you
Awesome information, thank you
Thanks,great Info.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! This lets me get my Garmin badges! Woo!
Awesome 👍
Only time I disagree with Tariq is when he asks me to drink coffee. I drink tea mate! Another very useful video, presented simply.
You are missing out on good coffee my friend 😂
Glad you found it useful. Thank you for watching 🙏🏼
I've been looking around on how to manage my Wahoo trainer with Garmin, and the information os confusing. This video is PERFECT. Thank you! Suscribed now :)
Awesome 👍👍
Thanks for sharing. I've been using my fenix 7 to ride workouts on my smart trainer, which is pretty is useful as I syncs the workouts for Garmin Connect. One annoying me thing is the fenix keeps buzzing and beeping when I'm 5 Watts off target and I cannot workout to disable it. Any ideas?
After my second Garmin Edge 520 died unexpectedly I decided to try something different - the Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt instead of the Garmin 530. Boy! I'm glad I did. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxXZCtB-wGdHVTBSz8RswePK5vllHNi06N The display on the Wahoo Bolt is much easier to read. I like the configuration of the display more (up to 7 items visible on page 1 without scrolling and the first item chosen is larger characters than the next 3 rows that have pairs of items (still very readable). I also like the configurable item selections. The Bolt synced with my Garmin ANT+ Speed sensors on both bikes easily so no additional investment was required there. While the rated battery life is a couple hours less than the Garmin 520/530, I easily get a weeks worth of 1+ hour rides before recharging (and it's never really low on charge). At the end of a ride syncing to the Wahoo app, Strava, and Apple Health app is painless.
hi! Thanks for the video. With an elite trainer over ANT+ everything was fine (and I think I could even use BT), but now a have a static bicycle ONLY with BT and can't connect it. Area there any tricks or something that can be done? Thanks in advance
I plan to do this. Who needs Zwift?
good video, tks a lot
Glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this fantastic video. Thanks to you I'm going to cancel my zwift subscription. But, I only have one problem left to solve. Let's see if you can help me. When I use the "Follow Course" mode the smart trainer doesn´t adapt the resistance according to the track recorded on Garmin. I have paired the trainer as smart triner and not as a cadence or power sensor. I don´find the answer in internet and the garmin and elite SAT can´t help me too.
Thanks in advance
Seriously thank u so much. Really helped me with my new wahoo.
Awesome… Glad this video was helpful!
@@SmartBikeTrainers by chance do you know if the garmin grade function will work with the wahoo kickr bike incline? Ie the watch will adjust for me if I have a course? Otherwise will test today. Thanks !!
@@kevinb4224 Hi Kevin. I didn’t test this but I think it should work and adjust the tilt of the bike. I’m curious to hear if it works once you test it.
@@SmartBikeTrainers confirmed it works !!
@@kevinb4224 awesome 👏🏼
Thanks for the video. A quick question: let's say your doing a 3x 200-240W and you feel great while doing it on a ERG mode. But what is happening is the the smart trainer is keeping your in the middle of the range due to the ERG, right?
How would I go to the high end of the 240W? Is there any way of doing this?
Thanks for the video!
I have a Garmin Forerunner 255. When I press Up after entering the Indoor Cycling Activity I just don't have the option "Smart Trainer Options". I only have there "Bike Indoor Settings" and "Training", even after pairing with my home trainer. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you so much for your detailed video. I kindly ask your help; I use Garmin 6Pro for Elite Direto Xr trainer. However, I can't feel any resistance for the course hills. Do you have any ideas to fix this?
Add forerunner 955 because I tried it and it works
Could you help me out with the following?: I have a garmin forerunner 945 and Saris M2 indoor smart trainer. If I make workouts on my phone and upload them to the watch. While doing the workouts I noticed that the smart trainer 'resets' the resistance or power to 0 after every lap. In case I'm doing a workout with a lot of reps I will be adjusting power and/or resistance all the time. Is there a way how to get this done more efficient?
thanks in advance.
Can I use daily training on my watch and do the workout on zwift ?
Anche il Wahoo Core si può utilizzare gestendo la potenza da un Garmin?
Hi there, great video! Quick question: my "set power" mode produces some errant zero W readings. These do not impact Garmin connect power, but show up in Strava. If you have any past experience with this, is there a fix?
Any ideas with an echelon bike?
So I'm having a problem with my Fenix 6 sapphire plus chest strap where it connects to the spin bike but the data from the spin bike doesn't transmit back to the Garmin. So it just looks like I ride for an hour with zero power output at an average heart rate of 135 bpm. Any ideas?
Hello Could tell me what is the "inertial" pad you use on the TacX smart trainer please ?
Can you connect zwift with the garmin watch? I mean more that it records the heart monitor together while using zwift to capture the right data? Usually what happens is it records two workout
Depending on your watch, you can rebroadcast some metrics from your watch to Zwift like a heart rate. I would just pair my trainer to Zwift and rebroadcast my HR from the watch.
Was hoping two would somehow explain how to display what gear by Stages SB20 is in on the watch instead of using the app on my iPhone.
I don’t believe this capability exist unfortunately.
Did you have guidance on what to do if your trainer does *not* broadcast ant+ or BTLE power data? Most gym cycles show watts, but do not broadcast. Video of creating a manual activity would be helpful
Generally I have a pair for power meter pedals that I can install on the bike. They measure and broadcast power+cadence . I do this with my Peloton bike so I can record the data on my device rather than using the peloton own measurement. However, these pedals are pricy and can cost over $400. Something like the Assioma pedals would do as long as they can be installed on the bike amzn.to/47TVKbZ
So, what if I’m following the daily suggestions on my watch, but am really board and would like to ride Rouvy or Fulgaz to keep my mind occupied ? Any thoughts on that ? My pc has Bluetooth and two ant doggles. Thanks for the information it is appreciated .
You can pair your trainer to any other app as a power meter only. This way it only records power from your trainer without dictating resistance.
Question: so let's say I use zwift how do I get my data from zwift to get captured in my Garmin connect app ? Is that possible if I don't use the watch or is there a way to capture on the watch so the info gets to Garmin or does it go from zwift to Garmin ... Not a tech guy here
Solved ...
I guess you figured it out? :)
The only way you can get your Zwift data into Garmin connect is by linking your Zwift to Garmin connect. You can do that in the Zwift companion app under settings > connections and select Garmin.
Can I use Wahoo Elmnt Bolt or Elmnt app to control Wahoo Kikr and record the ride on a Garmin Fenix 6 at the same time?
Can I get rides recorded on Elmnt into Garmin Connect?
I’m not technical and I’m very confused about compatibility, or not, between Elmnt, Bolt, Kikr and Garmin Fenix and Connect.
You can record your rides on both Elemnt and Garmin devices at the same time. The only thing you can’t do directly is sending rides from Elemnt to Garmin Connect.
If I follow a strava course, does my training effect my PR or local legends?
Riding indoors doesn’t impact your outdoor PRs and segments
Hi. I have an issue with my Garmin Fenix 6x Pro and my new ZwiftHub one. I am able to connect my Garmin with my Zwift one. And after my zwift Tour the correct data will be uploaded to my Garmin connect. Unfortunately my Garmin Fenix 6x Pro always shows during my exercise on my Zwift Hub One always the wrong speed and Distance.
However
The Garmin Watt and heartbeat are correct.
Is there a possibility to calibrate the Fenix 6xPro with my Zwift Hub One😢😢😮 I appreciate all your help. Thank you
I used my watch with the Rouvy app for the first time this morning and noticed the same thing. After 12.5 miles on the app my Garmin only reported 11.5 miles. That is quite a big difference. It's better than nothing I suppose.
Hi, I cannot find any list of compatible wrest heartrate devices that I could connect to my fenix 6 to have the measurment while my watch is on the bike. HELP!
Any heart rate monitor from Garmin, Wahoo, Coros, Polar and many other should work. I personally like the Polar Verity and Coros wrist heart rate monitors and both work with fenix watches.

Does Venu 3 work with Wahoo Kickr Snap?
Venu 3 and Venu 3s are compatible watches and you should work with the Kickr snap

Is it possible to control the smart trainer (Wahoo Kickr bike) with HF from Garmin
Not sure what you mean by HF? But the kickr bike should work just like any other trainer.
@@SmartBikeTrainers hf = heart rate frequency :)
Ahh 😁… I that case, no. It doesn’t work with HF
What is the model of your Garmin Watch?
That’s the Garmin Forerunner 955 Solar
amzn.to/45dhyz1
and let me guess - garmin only works with garmin?
It works with any Ant+ FE-C compatible trailer.
Can you connect zwift with the garmin watch? I mean more that it records the heart monitor together while using zwift to capture the right data? Usually what happens is it records two workout
Pretty certain that you, in effect, can get a reading from your smart bike from your Zwift screen and also your watch. SBT mentioned setting the Garmin to 'Free ride' so it should be sending the same information to Zwift and to your watch. Would suggest there could be calibration issues with the apps, if it's wildly different.
I know you have to calibrate the wheel if you use Corus Pace 2 (the one with Ant+)
