Everything about Edgerunners is incredible, but the music and action is even better. It’s also a running theme that almost all cyberpunk media is ridiculously sad, so get ready for a lot of that.
The music in the anime is all from the game for the most part. Along with every location in the anime as well. It’s a trip to play the game after you watch the show, I highly recommend it
@@mookiestewart3776 Yeah. CDPR sent Studio Trigger all the details for the entirety of Night City and it's surrounding areas. Multiple maps, 3D renders, screen shots and everything, as well as the entire game OST was provided. They did AMAZING, and I can't think of a better studio to have partnered with for this anime and it's insane how accurate they've portrayed the world CDPR built with Mike Pondsmith's guidance for us, buggy release or not. The voice actors for characters that appear in both settings are also the same between game and anime.
A lot of people get confused on this, but David wasn’t playing a game at the beginning. He was experiencing something called a “Brain dance” (BD) which is a chip that records a person’s memories and lets other people experience them. Doc got his hands on a BD of the guy from the beginning and gave it to David. David’s mom also took the cyberware from his body when she was there
It stands to mention that BDs record everything that person was feeling and thinking as well, not just what they're seeing and hearing. So you feel all of it. A lot of people get pain limiters that can literally cut some or all pain signals from entering your brain, and Norris being a super soldier probably had his fired up to tbe max. So David probably felt nothing. But who knows, maybe death isn't painless?
Pain limiters might sound cool since you might be able to shrug off gunfire, but it's easy to just drop dead from bloodloss and not even realize you've been shot a dozen times. That's why we evolved to feel pain, keeps us from going extinct from stupidity. Fingers crossed on that one.

Wow! This one is very special to me. Top tier soundtrack. Off the chain action and violence. Humanistic. Profane. Beautiful and heartbreaking. Amazing animation. Great voice dub, too.
I love that so many shows are getting top-tier dubs and good localization these days.
If you're interested in learning more about this universe, Cyberpunk has been around for a long time. The game, and by extension, this show are based on an old tabletop roleplaying game, like Dungeons and Dragons. There's a lot of super deep and interesting lore, stories, characters, companies, historical events etc. There's plenty of deep diving videos that talk more about the universe around that should be easy enough to find. And if you look into it even at a surface level, it's easy to see just how much fanservice the game and show have for the diehard TTRPG people of the original stuff. They're really a love letter to the original universe.

OMG yesss, so excited for your reaction to this, I randomly started this anime one day and ended up binge watching the entire show in one sitting and now it's one of my favourite shows, this was at a time when I was losing interest in anime and it brought it right back, one of my fav shows ever, it's so good😭, thanku for reacting to it❤❤

Cyberpunk 2077 literally the best game for me, idc about the tinny glitch and all.. i appreciated the story, emotion and music in this game. this game hold a special place in my heart 💖
At this point, the game has been improved so much that all of the fun and clever mechanics are finally starting to shine through the bad PR from launch. I really hope people give it another chance, especially with Cyberpunk 2.0 and the DLC coming. I returned recently and my rating went from 7/10 to 10/10. Perhaps 11/10 come fall. I know I’m preaching to the choir here, I just can’t shut up about it. I’m so hype for the next few months to come

This show changed me as a person
Ever since watching this show ive been afraid to watch other creators react to it. I don’t know why. If it’s because I am scared of what this show has to show, or maybe I’m scared of forming different opinions about it. It’s not the kind of show that you can rewatch and have it feel the same as your first time watching it. But I’m motivated now. I’m excited to see where this goes.

The way how David see Lucy for first time is amazing,... everything in black, and only her hair highlighted and leaving like a neon trail... I'm not against the dub, (Macross plus in english is brutal

@@regis_d I've gone through CP 2077 many times already, and I fully understand the references to the game by watching this Japanese-dubbed anime, which is much better than English. Only Japanese dubbing is always suitable for anime.
