    My Eagle XX1 AXS derailleur went all floppy just before the 2 year warranty period was up. With the help of my local bike shop SRAM replaced it FOC after around a month. Otherwise, I would think that pins from another SRAM (cheaper non AXS) derailleur would probably fit but luckily it didn't come to that. For information, my floppy AXS had done around 10,000 miles (16,000 km) in all conditions including sloppy UK mud.

    Magnet is for Hall effect sensor that locates the motor position.

      Thank you. If I could have removed the lever from the body of the derailleur I could have taken it apart with less carnage and could have seen the position of the parts.

    Question for you: I have a sram force wireless deraillur on a scott addict 2021..I dont have many miles on it and it is rarely in the rain..What should I be degreasing and lubing (without taking it apart)? And same question concerning the shifters..Any help would be appreciated..

    Do you remember what torx sizes? On my sram red etap it has a bolt or screw I think should be a bit tighter as not as flush as the other, it just one that near jockey side and closest to where cage attaches seems 1-2mm proud of the other near it

    Just inspected mine. I have a little play in the system. The parallelogram pins are ok, the play comes from gear system.

    • @alloutbikes
      @alloutbikes  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are many ways the derailleur can develop play. This one was due to worn pins. But I guess you could get play from the gears. Thanks for sharing.👍

      A company from the Netherlands called Leap Components sells bushing replacement kits on their website. Although currently only marketed as a kit for the eagle axs mtb derailleurs, but it would probably be stupid of SRAM to make two types of pins and bushings. They also have a yt channel. I think you can get your derailleur sorted out with their parts

    Are the electronic derailers better than a standard derailer?

    • @alloutbikes
      @alloutbikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Performance wise......Yes! I like both. For my everyday bike it is amazing. The bad thing about electric shifting is keeping the battery charged up. If you don't keep the battery charged you ruin the battery. I have to charge mine up about once a month.

    Don't reproduce this opening methodology. If you do like that, you will broke the circuit board at least. What you need to do to access the gearings on road RD Force or RED is to remove the arm on the opposite side, then once the arm is disassembled from the gear you'll get access to the whole electronics, motor and gears without applying any strength all parts should come easy.

      @alloutbikes I just fixed it at home. The long part of the big spring for some reason moved from the position that sits(on a small arm that move the derailleur)and prevents the movement of the derailleur towards up. All these happened when I reinstall the rear wheel, probably I pushed a lot the derailleur with the cassette. Very strange. At least now is working and I will not spend 500-600£!! I only lost my training, my evening and 5 years of my life!!
