I'm new to tools, DIY things and home repairs in general.. HOWEVER, I seem to gravitate towards the woodworking and metal cutting (drilling). So I certainly appreciate you passing this information on ,because I can learn from my own mistakes, but nothing takes the place of experience in a certain area. You have that regarding the router tips, so I thank you.

Oh BTW, you mentioned music. For you the 80's and country... for me, the 80's and smooth jazz.
    Be careful my friend

I like keeping it simple one bit for 3 different boarders, awesome! If I want to stay calm I’ll listen to Marty Robbins or Dean Martin if I meet something to get the blood pumping heavy metal. Great stuff. Subscribed.

Thank you for all the info. Planning on cutting back day job 1 day per week to start, to build my own business. First interest was in making jewelry, but I find I am gravitating towards wood works and signs. I am struggling to find ways to make enough per sale to replace other income. I love creating, but not so much the thought of the shipping process. I have a good grinder and just ordered a combo router. I am struggling with the bit selection and just watched your video on bits so thank you for that one. Think I am just going to choose a quality few bits to start. I have safety glasses and masks, but never realized how loud this process is, so will look up the headphones you suggested. YUP Hard Rock my first love, and also some country. At first I was planning on painting and vinyl on my signs, but you inspired me to consider some in-cuts and edging. Question - I am in So Cal - where is the best place (economical) to buy solid woods for signs. And what kind of wood?? Pine? What thickness you use the most? I plan on buying large sheets and cut them myself to save. Mature female here - very handy but never used a router before. I hole-heartedly would appreciate your suggestions. Thank you in advance

Since you edited out the actual work, we can't see how it is that you keep the edge as a straight line. What keeps the edging router at a constant depth? What part of the kit rides against the board edge to keep it tidy and even?

"Great" especially about the depth of the router, others that I have watched are way different.
