That’s way you use packing taps not masking tape but I thing was we wanted to know is what is it holding down seeing it on top of the paper so it’s not holding anything down
Hmm one like this, maybe 40-50 dollars. This was a while ago so I can't remember exactly. Now it would be worth more with wood prices and inflation. Thanks for watching!
ha! you obviously only watched a section as there is more than just that part with my elbow! Check out my new videos as I have become better at filming :)
tacky spray would have probably worked better to secure your stencil. And moving your camera so we could actually see what you were doing would have been nice.
I thought there was a lot of good effort in this sign, and the basic design was good. There seemed to be too much feathering in the letters and the tree. It made the end result look a bit amateurish. Perhaps the bit was too fine. I've seen other videos of hand-held carvings which showed much cleaner letters without using chisels afterward. Wood selection might be a problem also. I am not a professional, and am making my comments as personal opinions only.
You spelled the name wrong - Tinsleys < is the proper plural of the family name, what you carved is the contraction of "Tinsley is"! If you want to dress it up you can add the apostrophe after the s... as in Tinsleys' . Masking Tape is made of paper not clear plastic - what you used is known as "packing tape"
I think the clients wanted it this way so they could hang it above their front door and it would indicate that the house was theirs. And thanks for the correction.

Nice job on the project!! 👍
Awesome job brother!
Thank you thank you!
Awesome work man. Very helpful!
Thanks! Glad it was helpful. I’ll be posted another sign video this year, stay tuned
How high of a grit number sandpaper did you use for your orbital sander for the polyurethane?
I think I went to 320

Thank you! Cheers from Santa Barbara!
Nice job what was that plain white paint you were using.
Thank you! I think just a plain white, can't remember exactly.
Outstanding!
Thanks!
Clever use of clamps.
Thanks!
@@SecondSonWoodworks You’re welcome
That sander looks pretty good about now.
Treated me well for over 6 years now!
I like the use of white lettering.
Thank you!
i know its been 5 years, but just curious, why didnt you use the double sided tape to secure the wood to the bench instead of using 4 clamps?
Good question, not sure if the double sided tape would be sufficient to hold while routering and sanding
Me gusta mi Bandera de España 👍👍👍
Thanks!
What color was the stain
Dark Walnut!
What program did you use to produce the large font letters?
I thinkI used microsoft word
Bit name kya h sir
Hello!
Thanks for watching
Why do you use the masking tape on top?
So I can see through it to the letters.
That’s way you use packing taps not masking tape but I thing was we wanted to know is what is it holding down seeing it on top of the paper so it’s not holding anything down
@@bigdog5561 plus it keeps the paper from disinagrating when routing

How much do you charge for a sign like this.

Ohh that’s a good idea!
Cool!
Thanks!
Really awesome video tutorial. Thanks ,nice pproject.
Thank you!
Nice job. It came out great and I actually like the white paint.
You can rename your channel tombradywoodworks
Thank you! Haha I guess I should do that huh?
The finished product looked very amature..you should have done the letter insides flat...well done for trying though little fella 😊
Alright Christine, thanks for your unfiltered comment tiny little gal.
You should really check out some (or all) of Eric Rhoten's videos
I checked them out! Great channel, lots of info! Thanks
Why would you place the camera so that we got a clear view of the back of your hand instead of the work you were doing?
Sorry! This was an early video for me. Still learning. Check out some of my newer videos; the quality is much better.
This is great! It's a subscribe of course.
Thank you!! Right back at you!
Like the other guy said. Great video of your elbow
ha! you obviously only watched a section as there is more than just that part with my elbow! Check out my new videos as I have become better at filming :)
Spray a little glue next time and sand it off 80 grit paper . Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching 😀

Hello my friend! Un saludo desde Santa Barbara 😊
Looks Nice! But the audio of you working reminded me of the dentist drill. Next time per mute it down a bit or cover it up with the music.
Thank you! Hahah that is good to know. No one likes the dentist drilling. Thank you for watching!
Beautiful job, sir! Quick question, how can I get that good? 😂
Thank you for the support!
Might move the camera 🥹
I always try to! Watch some of my new videos and my camera movement is a bit more frequent 😊
I suggest that you watch Makeawoodsign.com. and Johnathon Whittaker.
Good idea! Thanks for watching!

Good video! Thanks. Hated the music though! Do you really need it?
Thank you! Probably not haha check out my newer videos and let me know if sound is good

Nice job on the project!! 👍
music in back ground is annoying
Okay
Poor camera angle for a how to video.
Okay check out my newer videos for better angles
Your "masking tape" appears to be wide clear cellophane tape - you're not "masking" anything.
I probably used the wrong term to refer to this tape. I think I meant clear packing tape! Sorry
I'm guessing it was pretty good, just quit watching because all I could see were your hands and your shoulder
Sorry, been trying to get back with my filming, check out some of my newer videos and let me know
Im a subscriber to your chanel and you do some good things but,,, that sign is horrible... Leave the sign making to Eric Rhoten's youtube channel....
Dang dude, that’s not nice! At the very least be more specific, I think this sign turned out nice and the people I made it for really liked it!
Not much of a painter are ya?
I got the job done didn’t I? Or didn’t you only watch a tiny bit of the video and then make your judgement?
Sorry, but that looks awful.
Disagreed🧌
I was using WoodPrix instructions to make it and I did it already :)
Nice
