Atp there's SO MANY good cubes, cheap enough to just get and think "ah if I don't like it I can just give it away to someone who wants it" and now I have like 6-7 cubes in the span of 2 months, haven't given away a single one XD
what you said in the beginning is SO true! (almost) every cube released these days has excellent performance and is good enough for just about any skill level. a good cube review these days isn’t one that tells you if the cube is good or not, because it probably is. i feel that a good review will just describe the cube in as much detail as possible, giving the viewer all the information they need to decide if the cube *works for them*. i’ve personally been accused many times of saying gan cubes are bad just because i point out their flaws. they’re not bad, they’re pretty good, just like every other 3x3 on the market these days. it entirely comes down to your own preferences and needs.
I was never really a fan of GAN cubes, but I tried some of my friend's GAN 12's, and I loved the crunchy turning, so I got one for myself and I love it! I was really excited for the gan 13, but i was never really a fan of any other Gan cubes

However I have had other UV coated and j hate the shine and the grip (lots of people disagree) and when j saw they had the the frosted I took it immediately. Thank you, and im excited!

This might be controversial but I wish it didn't come with a box. There aren't a lot of puzzles I feel a need to protect with a bag or box, so it just makes the cube more expensive.
Interesting. I’m loving mine and cubing with it as I watch your video. I’m personally all for light cubes with really loose settings so I’ve loved the previous two gan releases. It’s great to know that the cube can be set really tight too so those with the complete opposite preferences can find something that they would love too. For me the Gan 13 is takes way less effort to turn than the 12. And I do love the box too, really solid.

hehe I did try to tell you on your Gan12 vid the catches stop after a bit and adjustment. But I think you need to prefer a real light turning style. Heavy hurts my muscles quick, so I need it light. Gan 12 maglev has become my main from the 356 X but couldn't stand the 11 because frosted. I think you should try going as light as possible for a while, see if it helps your times any or if it just feels more comfortable on your joints. Edit: I'm glad GAN is offering more range in tensions again. It's always been enough for me, but I keep trending lighter with each new cube. Edit2: loved the humor in the vid too. I prefer clear boxes, they make me more tempted to pick up the cube :P I also like the boxes small enough to fit in the carry bag if you're going to throw it a backpack. I love being able to open with one hand flip. I hate if you accidently drop it the box will open and eject your cube onto the concrete :P
Mostly the corner-core magnet system and the tensioning system. Also, unlike previous GAN puzzles, the edge-corner magnets are installed as far from the core as possible, making the magnetic force feel more "clicky". The 11M had the same tensioning as the XS and had the core magnets installed farther out, there's just enough clearance for in not to catch. It feels too clicky on my Duo, but it's likely that you can setup to have a smoother feel on the Pro. Despite this, I've consistently get slightly better averages on it than on my older cubes, as it's very stable, very flexible and forgiving at the same time, so I still like it despite liking better the feel of the 356X or my CH RS3M. For the 12, the core magnets were moved closer to the core and the adjustable rods on the corners have longer magnets, giving a smoother magnetic feeling that the 11, some minor changes in the internal design also caused some people to complain about lockups, but honestly, I haven't had any issues with it. The tensioning system is waaay better than before, more settings available and easier to change settings. It's a very welcome improvement on the 11 concepts. The 13 is yet another improvement of those concepts, due to the repelling magnets on the edges' base, it has an even smoother magnetic feel than the 12 and it also allowed for shorter corner magnets that still look more prominent than on the 11, but less extreme than on the 12. The tensioning system was improved so it requires only a single very small tool that fits in the box with the cube, you don't have to carry an accessories box or change pieces to test the whole range of settings the cube offers. They are all excellent albeit expensive cubes. I love how smooth the 12 and the 13 feel, it fixed the only issue that really bothered me with the 11. Another concern that I have, and the main reason I don't use those never generations all the time, is that they're so forgiving, you have to be careful not to start getting sloppy with your turning style and it may negatively impact your performance on other, less forgiving cubes if you don't pay attention to this. The smooth feeling and the UV coating are two things that I really enjoyed, I always loved (and still love) the feeling of the old WRM, based on the GTS3M, the only thing I didn't like about it was the weak magnets, the 12 and 13 combine all the stuff I like in a cube. As for what to pick, if you like fast, flexible but stable cube, you can get pretty much any one of those, the model I'd recommend you depends on your budget and your preferences. Some people may prefer the sharper magnetic click of the 11, others may prefer a smoother feeling cube.

Can you even call it a significant 'upgrade'? I've been thinking of buying a maglev cube so it makes sense to buy the latest maglev, or would you recommend something else?

What are your thoughts on traxxas? Obviously ur sponsored by scs so ur probably gonna recommend wt5 but as a alternative do you think it is as good as wt5 and do u use it at all?
I've made a video specifically recommending traxxas. More specifically factory team as that's more common near me. It's great to experiment with but you will never really need that much and something lighter like 1000 weight can be useful.

GAN are nice to play with, the x-man v3 tornado is for performance IMO. I like to use a variation of cubes and sizes as it sharpens my skills

It's very different. Much lighter but quite a bit more stable. "Maglev" isn't worth it but the "upgrade" depends on the feeling you prefer.
