@@anwinsyras234 I dont know, you will be surprised how good the copies are to the real G-Shock right up to the details and even the warranty books. You should look up videos on TH-cam on how to spot fake G-Shocks to make up your mind if your watch is the real one or not.

I'd definitely go for a durable $125 watch which is going to show the same time as a $50000 watch so why should I spend money on something which is gonna break apart in a Twitch? Also, this is one of the most trendy sports watches out there.
I have this in white, I'll have to admit, this gets more wrist time than my Breitlings and Omega.. I know! But it's just so beautiful and fits perfect on the wrist, they made this model with classic watch designs in thought: a tapered strap, round bezel, regular lugs etc. To me, this is my grail G-shock
Got mine a while ago; it's pretty sweet! It's a different direction for sure, but we'll see how it's accepted by fans. I like having the ability to swap straps more easily, especially if they go for a slightly more traditional look. As it is, it's a solid first offering in this new model range. One thing I REALLY love is the big, easy buttons. Far nicer to operate than the smaller-than-a-pencil-eraser buttons on a 5600.
I bought the blue two weeks ago in Las Vegas. It was on sale at Macy’s. Soon as I had it in hand and felt the weight I was sold. I knew about most of the features already. After I put it on I thought oh no! I want one of each color they had. ha ha. But I still just bought the blue. I’d like to pickup the Army Green also. If you’re like me and a G Shock fan you’ll need a couple of these. I still look at it constantly when I wear it. So the purchase has really pleased me as a G Shock Junkie. My self imposed nickname.
Funny thing is that depending on the colourway the hands are built differently: in this particular version 1A9 or in teal blue 1A2 the hands are hollow in the middle, but in E-4 colourway (the one with 3 straps in a set) hands are flat and covered with lume, which glows in the dark.
I bought the black one as my first Gshock and first daily watch in 10 years. Love the shape and the band so much. Really strong too because I’m quite rough with it.
I really like the fact that this as an illuminated digital display for a lower priced G Shock and a countdown timer in which you can adjust the seconds too. This will be on my wishlist

I'm actually put off by the quick release strap. I work in quite a rough job and I find that when watches have been pulled on hard, the strap breaks at the springs. I use a GG1000 at the moment and it's never broke despite being in some testing situations. I think that's down to how secure the connection is.
I was lent the black one to set the hands for a hapless owner so I used your tutorial thanks. It feels well-made and expensive. The blue fade-out lume/white hands is effective. It’s not much more cost than a basic square but it’s in a different league. I thought it was a £250 watch.
Nice review! I like how you have a separate review on how to use this watch. Much better and easier to follow as compared to the text manual. I'm definitely buying this watch in the coming weeks. This will be my first G-Shock, but probably not my last! Would like to have seen a few different straps swapped out for comparison.
I have been looking at this G -Shock watch for a while now... However, I have been told that this watch is VERY difficult to set the correct time ..Could you tell me if this is correct? Is this watch very difficult to set the exact time? I like the "Seconds" to be correct also... once every two weeks I get all my watches and set the time to the EXACT time. I have the white GA2000 which is the only one with a positive display, I have 4 different coloured 24mm quick release Barton Bands soft silicone straps in different colours, it's like having 4 different watches
@@ZeidGho the lights on the display are pretty good if you set it to 3 seconds, the led light isn't the best in my opinion but it doesn't matter too much since the hands are glow in the dark, on my model anyway, not all of them are glow in the dark
I ordered the 2110 in all yellow.. can't wait for it to arrive.. just in time for summer use.. Now if I can just set the dam time and date ;) I'm still following your directions for my solar G Shock and still no luck ;)
Great watch and as always great review!... I guess this time the plastic buckle doesn’t matter too much anymore, because like you said, you can change the band with anything you like. But that’s still is something to bring on a table for further comments, if future G shocks will come with this easy to remove band design.
Needs tough solar...or at least a five year battery.. I had thought part of the original G-shock criteria was a 10 year battery. this has a "3 year battery" And a positive display....Negative displays are SO hard to read..CASIO please enough with negative displays!!!
I purchased the same exact yellow 🟡 yesterday when I was thinking of buying another G model watch but seeing this watch newly displayed and looking so different than the usual steel back plate G that we used to normally see makes me think of acquiring it. In the end I bought both the watch that I came to buy with this GA2000. And I can't say I was none too happy with my swift decision.
Man.... I am liking the looks of this G-Shock. The color combo is nice... It's kind of Breitling-ish. Also i luv that there is no seconds hand, instead it is a digital display. After wearing mechanical watches, i just don't like the seconds hand ticking on quartz watches.
You're absolutely on point. As a Breitling enthusiast that owns at least a couple i found this to be my grail G because of those similarities. If not mechanical, i definately lean towards G-shocks.
Very good review! Beautiful watch the GA2000 and I just got the GA2000HC-3A. It's not all the time a Casio G-Shock comes out with a very nice color combination and especially in matte clear material. So I bought two!! 🔥🤟✌🙌🤘👌👍😎 BTW. I may try to use NATO or ZULU straps on it as they are very easy to change.
Love this. Agreed with all of your positives, with the big easy-to-push buttons being a big plus for me. I also love the rotating physical mode indicator - very cool. I've been wanting an analog smaller (for a G Shock) model, and this is almost exactly what I've been wanting. Negative LCD is my biggest gripe. I'm cool with no solar, *if* the battery swap is non-trivial. I'll need to research that. Also, to second what you said in the review, I tried one at the mall today, and the straps made this watch fit me great. Smaller 6.5 inch wrists in my case.

Hope Casio adopt this more mainstream look, and discard their samurai battle armour /gundam look! The difference between this model and the GW 9400 is striking.
I do like how the strap does wrap more around your wrist. Lightning does need to be more brighter though. I couldn't hardly see the face. Do the hands luminate from the light?
I am not very much impressed... No lume on the hands, poor backlight on the LCD displays, no date AND day display simultaneously... the mode dial is not very intuitive to see where it is at... At least it is lightweight , comfortable and rather affordable. But all in all, a step backwards in so many directions. That said, a great video as always, and a huge thank you for that :) Zs
Some of the colors have solid hands that actually do have lume. I have the blue version and the lume is fantastic on it. Also when you hit the light button the time and day displays do light up and are very readable.
I'm trying to decide between this (specific the ga-200 2a with the dark colored strap and the golden'like colors) and the gg1000 mudmaster. The later has indeed more functions however compass and thermometer are not of much use to me. Which one would you suggest?
I always say, go for the one you like the LOOK of more! Functions are something you'll play around with for the first couple weeks, and after that you'll just wear the watch as a timepiece

I have two of these, the white one and the blue. On the blue one I find the neg display almost unusable - really wish Casio would not use these. The white one however, has a positive display which is very useable despite being small. I've also found the white watch attracts a lot of comments and looks. Instead of an "in your face white", it's a subdued kind of pastel white. It looks superb in the flesh. Blue one is now a beater as the neg displays are not worth a carrot imo.
No solar feature, no deal. You don't want to keep going back to the Casio service centre to have the batteries changed and silicone re-sealed for waterproofing every 1.5 to 2 years. Their service centre charges an arm and a leg for it. But if you want to save money, get the batteries replaced by any other watch shop. However, it comes with a big downside. The waterproofing seal is gone and new silicone will not be applied. That is my lesson learnt from buying non-solar Casio watches. Another great feature is also missing from this good-looking watch: bluetooth connectivity! Not every country has satellite for timekeeping synchronisation even if it has multi-band 6 (moreover this watch does not have). Automatic time adjustment using bluetooth connectivity with mobile phone is certainly more practical. Everyone has a mobile phone with the time synchronised with the telco. You don't want to keep manually calibrating the time every month or so to keep in accurate. Therefore, no solar, no deal. No Bluetooth makes it even less compelling. I have since stopped buying Casio watches missing these two features.
Is resin plastic ? My understanding was that Polyurethane shares the best characteristics of plastic and rubber. I am not sure though. Thanks for the video.

I love G Shocks. I have 2 of them, and one, I've had since 10th grade of high school, and it's still on its FIRST battery!

Some people like myself prefer the negative displays. They should offer both displays as a choice though

I was referring to the inner case that is glass fiber reinforced plastic, the outer "rubbery" resin is the same on this as on the old ones
