Thank you for putting this video together. I had joined the eBay Partner Network once before, but didn't fully understand how to use it. Your video made it all come together, so now I understand the whole thing. Thank you once again :)
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter oops! Dom! So sorry, I hate that and I hate autocorrect. LoL People mispronounce or misspell my name all the time, I hate to be the one to do it to someone else! 😕
Thanks for the info! I signed up for this about 6 months ago but had no idea what to do with it. I will give it a try, but it seems like a lot of work for me, lol.
Hi Dom! Thanks so much for this video and for all your videos! I had a couple of questions; if I just posted a link for one of my eBay items to my Instagram or Facebook page, and I'm not part of the EPN, I won't receive any commission or discount on fees? Can you set up all the items in your store as part of the EPN? Do you have to create campaigns for all items or could I do a campaign for just like vintage toys for example? Thanks so much for your time!
Sure thing. No to your first question. You need to be part of EPN. You can set up most items for EPN but some won’t qualify per the terms of service. You can make campaigns for any items you want as long as they qualify
QUESTION...When an ebay listing is created or updated, a pop up window comes up telling us the listing has been successfully created. Below the link to check out your listing there are buttons for pinterest, Facebook etc..can we just click one of those quick buttons and share that way and get credit for it? Also, do you have any suggestions for using this with the ebay app? I'm asking this because I have an Instagram account, and it's complicated posting from a laptop to that platform. 😀
Yes, clicking those buttons will share it to FB and Pinterest and you get credit for a sake made within 24 hours of clicking. I don’t use it with the eBay app. You could get a linktree account for your bio link. That’s what I have. Then when someone clicks that link it opens to many other links you can add, including EPN links.
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter i wondered. I have a link tree, but I often wonder how many people look at it. ( I rarely look at them myself) Thank you for the reply.
So I make a lot of custom items for people and list them on ebay and send them the link to purchase it. Seems like I could send them the affiliate link instead and then no FVF? Correct?
Yup! You just can’t send it to them on eBays message system. you have to send it to them through email or a social media. You need to get permission from them though to send it over email
Every seller on eBay pays a final value fee on items that they sell which is usually about 10% of the total price. Use this program and make a sale on it within 24 hours of someone clicking the link and you don’t have to pay the 10%.
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter Thank you for confirming. So how do you go about doing that? I'm part of the program already... however, I only get 10% of the final value fee eBay charge. So if something sells through my link for £100, eBay get £10 in fees and I earn £1. Can you explain how you get the final value fee in its entirety, because I feel like I'm being robbed lol. It would be nice to get £10 instead of £1. Thank you for your time. 👍
@@chasingsecrets I’m not sure if it is different in other countries but in the US, if your item sells in 24 hours after it’s clicked then no final value fee
I am not sure what partner type to select when setting up with the Partner network? There are many options.. Incentivized? social media influencer? Can you give some guidance? I couldn't follow that part in your video. Thank you!
It totally depends where you plan on sharing the links. For example, if you plan on doing a lot of social media like FB and Pinterest sharing, click social media influencer.
Terrific information! So once I have the link, is there anywhere that Ebay does not want it to go? (Example: Am I allowed to circulate a link to my e-mail contacts? Am I allowed to spread a link via a WhatsApp group?) Also, you said that you have to tell people that the link is for an affiliate program. Is that because the buyer would be charged more using the affiliate link? Is the buyer charged the amount of the commission? Or is that commission coming off the regular percentage that E-bay takes? Lastly, considered me inspired regarding use of Social Media (28:40). Thanks again for the great content!
Hi. There are rules yes. all of that is laid out in the terms of service. You need special permission it yo send it in email. Not sure about WhatsApp. It is the law that you have to tell ppl about affiliate links. That’s not unique to EPN. The buyer is not charged anything extra.
Please help! Ebay is no longer using Paypal and all shops are going to managed payments. This isn't going to work for me! Please address this issue in a video ASAP! I am probably going to have to close my store after years of building it up. I'm panicked. Thanks!
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter I'm 73 and unfortunately, my memory is not what it used to be. In order for me personally to take advantage of this I would need to write down how it's done until I learn the process. I would have to have the steps visually in front of me to be able to follow them. And again, personally, I'm no longer able to write that fast. It sounds good, but I don't see any way that it's feasible for me. 😥😥

How can you post the link on Pinterest? Do you have to use the sharing tool? If so, do you need to be using Chrome?

Does eBay send a check for the money paid out for the affiliate? Or is it paid out through manager payments?
