I have banker boxes. I like these over clear because clear are larger and take up more space. It's hard to pull a bin that's so large full of stuff over the smaller boxes that are cheap and easy to store. I also have a plastic drawer system for smalls. Because I have the large plastic shelves. I guess people should use what works best for them. I dont like leaving stuff visible. I rather it be tucked away. Thank you Dom
@@joshjahada4238 you can purchase at an estate sale and use that as a tax deduction too. If you only have $100 to spend you will get more for your money at an estate sale than walmart. A $100 tax deduction is a $100 tax deduction whether you spend it on 3 shelves at walmart or 10 shelves at an estate sale.
My listed items are in clear bins on the same metal shelves that you have. My unlisted items are the problem. They have taken over my whole apartment. Something like on the Star Trek episode, The Trouble with Tribbbles.
I have my listed and unlisted items in clear totes, also. On one side of my small warehouse is my listed, and on the other is my listed. I wash my clothing items as soon as I get home from sourcing. Then to the clear bins.
I organized my death pile into categories based on how easy they will be to list. I gave each category a number. I have 7 categories, with 1 being “list right away without any extra steps” through 7, which is “throw or give away”. For instance, if I have to measure clothing, it goes in category 3. If I need to launder or iron it before photographing, it’s a 4. Then when I list, I know exactly what pile to head for and how much time it will take. It has increased my listing rate fourfold because I don’t start to list and end up in a rabbit hole because I didn’t anticipate the time and effort required.
Appreciate this Dom, I think one of my limitations currently is lack of space and overage of stuff. I will be going to look at a new shed today and can implement more of this!!!
One of my favorite videos, as we only have so much time, and nothing worse than when you cannot locate an item, or tripping over clutter. Many good pointers, thanks !
I wanted to give a tip for Mrs. primetime. I have been starting to do jewelry as well and they get lost inside of bins so I bought smaller shoe bins and I numbered them and Store jewelry inside them so they don’t get buried.
Great Tips! I use two tall metal filing cabinets side by side for most shipping supplies, with larger boxes broken down and lined up on top. I really like it, I can close the drawers when I'm done and it all stays pretty neat.
Another great video by Big Dom! It’s funny how your voice changes into like a cartoon character voice when you talk to Daisy! I do the same and I talk back in my dog voice! 😂
I'm dealing with sagging plastic shelves as we speak. Haha. The out of sight out of mind thing with non clear tubs is very true. It makes it so much easier to hide all of the piles of money I have sitting around unlisted. Great tips, thank you!
One of the first thing we bought for the business was metal shelves with 350 pound shelves. Best thing we ever did. It can hold totes for bins or piles/stacks no problem.
I would guess Daisy’s favorite organizational hack is to stack all your goodies so you can see how rich in toys you are! 🔥🔥 Excellent tips once again! To bum off your “saving time by having everything close” - if I have to go into other rooms to get stuff I WILL get side-tracked so yes, totally agree on that one 🎉🎉
Great Video! I was thinking about all of this, most I already knew. But, knowing is different than putting into place. Your last comment about taking everything out and starting from scratch. That is what hit home for me the most!
I saw one thing you could add to make $/inch easier. Have 2"x4" boards cut the exact length of your trade pb shelves. Lay it across the back length of the shelf (4' side down), giving you a riser for the back row of books: it's easier to quickly find the title when pulling orders to ship. This hack also works well if you sell MM paperback books and you have enough titles to separate those out into their own alphabetized section.
Hi Dom-Some great tips thank you so much. I know your helping so many folks including me! It’s very appreciated you make it look easy too! Would like to share a tip to all if I May- with dimensional postal rates here to stay Tape down or decal or even just write down at the edge of a shipping table A Ruler (measurements) so we don’t have to go and use two hands to grab a ruler Now all I have to do is take my own advice I haven’t done the ruler thing yet lol 😆 Merry Christmas to you and yours
Nice, just getting my area organized since we bought our new house. Trying to keep the promise to keep just one room (or 2, or 3 at the most - that one is just the closet for shipping supplies lol )
I know it's an old video, but this just popped up on my stream and the timing is perfect. I'm planning to work on an envelope receipt system this weekend. Keep posting, love your tips.
Great advice! I hate the box clutter I have, every few months I thin the heard...just cant keep it all, I have started nesting boxes. I’ve found totes at estate sales that have really come in handy.
Jealous of your organization here! Always thinking of how my new storage and office going to be. For now, pretty organized in my car while traveling. My one and only favorite reselling group here! Hello Miss Daisy!!!
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter Yep, paid $20 for one, and $30 ea for the other two. All 3 are 6' tall, 5 shelves each, two are 24" deep, one is 18" deep. It works for me, box / bin storage system.
Best organization video income across yet! Thank you for always explaining and giving examples. This is an area that I personally need to improve. Some days I want to just quit and I just started, but most days my husband wants me to quit. Lol! Cherrs from Ohio 🍎
Hey! How did you get into my office with the box clutter without my noticing?? LOLOL That is a big struggle for me, people save them for me and so I take them since it's free packing material...if I would break them down, it would just waste tape...maybe I'm just a tightwad haha I love organization videos, so thank you for the tips...my last office organization go around, I may finally have the packing material under control since I was able to empty out a closet so that really helped - now I store my flat boxes in there! Yay for the Christmas cards thumbs up! Hugs to Daisy, liked and shared, and take care! Merry Christmas, thank you for all you do!
Great video. Clear totes are imperative. If i forget to label where I put it the clear totes help a TON. I had those same shelves but my shelf was particle board. it disintegrated over time. I went to the plastic ones. I can see they sag some but it's not a problem. No idea if they'll last a long time or not.
Lot of good ideas there. But I have to find a way to do everything in an 11' X 14' home office. Storage, photos, packing and shipping. No basement storage and our one car garage is packed. Probably the only thing I could organize right away are my receipts. LOL
This was extremely helpful. Thanks for sharing this information. I am actually in the process of organizing my basement and setting up an official inventory system as we speak so this video was right on time.- Jocelyn 😀
Another great video - great tips! Have really enjoyed watching your videos this year - one of the few highlights! Wishing you and Mrs. Primetime a very happy holiday season.
As always, outstanding info for both newbies and long time sellers! Alphabetizing is always fun at my house...are the Billy Joel albums filed under “B” or “J” 😁
Instead of writing on the comic boxes, take a baseball card team bag or pennny sleeve and staple or glue it to the front. Then write the “A-B1” on an index card. That way if you sell all of your amazing Spider-Man in one week and you condensed your boxes, you just have to pull the “A-B1” card and switch it to a “A-D1” without crossing out anything on the box
So many great tips! Looking at adding metal shelving in my storage area this year! You reminded me of how I used to make list and check the items off. Gonna get back to that tip. Picking a time to list that doesn't interfere with my other responsibilities is a biggie for me. I tend to become very popular with my phone when I go to list. Frustrating for sure! Thanks for these instructional videos! Love them!

Buy your shelving at estate sales. They practically give them away.
Agree. It takes time but you can buy literally everything for your business at yard sales for close to nothing!
But you can just buy them at walmart and use them as write offs?

I just finished reorganizing my she shack. I want everything reorganized before the new year and I made it

Time to upgrade!
I have (just recently purchased) 3 metal industrial shelving units with WHEELS :) Just to store bins and one for unlisted inventory,. GREAT!
Ahhh yes, wheels are so good to have!

Organize well from the start! I am going to work on organization after Christmas, for sure.

great video. I write the SKU# on my totes, and flat boxes are better than nesting them. We need more Daisy!
Agree on the SKU #. I meant to mention that. I’ll work in more Daisy. Lol
Great ideas! Thanks for the help! My spare bedroom looks insane right now.

If you have room to rotate that book shelf perpendicular to the wall, then you can have spines facing out on either side.
Yes true but this was the only way that really worked for the space. Thanks!
