I never thought of it that way with the Say Cheese and Die but you are soooo right!!
I don't know how popular/unpopular of an opinion this is, but this is my favorite of the franchise. I feel like they actually embraced the absurdity of the concept, the slapstick-like deaths, and character archetypes in this one, which gives it more of that rewatchable factor for me. These movies are just pure dumb fun for me and I don't think they should be anything more lol.

On the DVD for this one, they have a choose your own adventure thing, and it has a bunch of new scenes and outcomes and I just think it’s very cool!

24:24 In case you didn’t catch it, what this means is that Wendy was supposed to die there. McKinley was supposed to cause her death by unintentionally distracting her from noticing those fireworks as he rambled on and on, but because Wendy DOES notice them being aimed at her, she quickly intervenes to save herself, thus skipping herself, and then death instantly circles back to the start, since she was the last one in the order, and so it cycled back to McKinley who was now next. Hence why he dies there. The irony was that he didn’t realize she just got skipped there and still believed she was next even though she wasn’t lol 💀💀💀
Also you can see that the first firework goes right where her torso would be

I heard another theory about the fact that she misunderstood the picture because if she didn't save Ian, what would happen. The McKinley sign was destine for her at base, but McKinley block the way, so by that saved her without noticing. It skip her and goes back to him since he was next.
Nah fam Wendy was supposed to get crushed by the same sign with the McKinley name on it that Ian was and him stepping between her and them is what caused the intervention
@@FNIGTOABN Had Ian died when he was supposed to, then yes, Wendy would’ve died from that sign like you’re saying, since that was the original plan, but death didn’t anticipate Ian getting skipped at all, which is why death had to factor him in too somehow, so the new plan became Wendy dies from the fireworks, and then the fireworks collapses the sign that kills Ian.
it’s the Mary Elizabeth’s performance for me. She makes the movie worth to watch, and elevates the standard of this franchise.
Fun fact- Final Destination was originally pitched as a plot for the X-Files.
Kevin's girlfriend from earlier in the movie was also the wife that burned alive in Saw 7

19:37 Funny enough Ian wasn't wrong here, because that is indeed what happened in the FD2. The main character who was last in line (technically) "ended" her life earlier than the person who was before her and because her death was not a permanent one, she also got a clean slate and they survived at the end. As FD1and FD3 has shown preventing a death doesnt really work because it will eventually cycle back around.
Referring to your closing statements talking about the pictures not all referencing a rollercoaster crash, I saw a video where somebody suggested that the end game for Death was to have the victims die in another way, hence why they get a premonition/see signs of their deaths, etc. For example, Sam and Molly from FD5 were destined to die on Flight 180, which is why Sam had a vision about the bridge collapsing. If you think about it like that, it would make sense why everyone in FD3 had a picture referencing a different cause of death. If Death knows they're going to cheat it, it can alter its schemes to make sure they perish in another way (before the visionary has their premonition), meaning Death already has plans for the ones that escape the accident.
This one is one of the best one's for sure! Also did u know they already announced a new Final Destination movie coming up next year? :D

The guy you thought was from Smart House is the guy from Smart House lol Ryan Merriman =^_^= As well as, Luck of the Irish and A Ring of Endless Light. He is the absolute best. I wrote to him and he not only responded but he wrote me back a handwritten note addressing what I wrote because he actually read it! He also, sent me a signed photograph I didn't ask for as a bonus which he wrote more encouraging words on for me! And it was a sneak peek of a film he was in that hadn't even been announced yet at that time! He is a complete sweetheart in real life and not a creep like his character was at the beginning of the film XD
Also, Mary Elizabeth Winstead's boyfriend in the film was Chad from Tucker and Dale Vs Evil hehe
I was in high school when I saw this for the first time, so I never thought about the fact that the girls were underage. But after watching your reaction, I started thinking about how horror movies, especially old horror movies (during the 70s and 80s) tend to have underage characters nude. The only horror movie I can recall off the top of my head that doesn't is Scream. It's crazy to me how they were able to get away with that and no one made a big fuss about it.
Older horror movies tended to include teen nudity as a "morality warning", if you'te nude, have sex, do drugs, etc, you are a victim.
Plus, Ashley and Ashlyn may have only been 16. But, the actresses who portrayed them were in their 20's.
@@manxgirl their actual age in real life doesn't matter when they are portraying teenagers. It's a gross way to justify them being naked on screen.
@@_LexiMae The teenagers aren't "on screen" in the story, they are in a tanning salon and something much worse than being naked happens to them. The actresses are the ones on screen, and they're adult, it's not cuties kinda shit. I'll never understand this inability to distinguish fiction from reality, especially when you double down saying "reality doesn't matter". Strange.

Mind you, they don't have to be naked in the tanning bed either. And it's incredibly weird considering I don't believe people actually lay in a tanning bed naked for sanitary reasons...

I think there's something kinda funny about the 9/11 photo - like, every other photo shows how a particular individual person dies, so it's as if Death is like "I'm gonna **kill** the twin towers! With a plane!"

Final Destination would make for a great TV Series I do agree. Each episode have the mains try to save someone. FD3 is probably my favorite next to the first and I love Mary's acting abilities like HOLY SHIT. The nudity scene didn't bother me at all especially because back then nobody was sensitive and obviously the actors were over 18 lmfao. So no big deal because there were far worse. But this movie was so sick and I loved how creative it was and the addition of the camera and pictures. Kevin and Wendy were probably the best duo out of the 3 movies. Wendy and Alex are my favorite characters though of the franchise.
I agree. When I think of far worse for this series specifically I just think of Final Destination (4). That freaking s3x scene just grossed me out like I already didn’t like dudes character and this scene just gave me more of a reason to not like him. I get it those characters were adults compared to FD1 and FD3 but still.. ugh
Just be forewarned my fellow long-haired friend, you're probably really going to dislike if not outright HATE Final Destination 4 or as it's inappropriately titled The Final Destination. I mean, most people do. The 3D FX are unforgivable with several shots being wholly unnecessary. The only upside to the movie was the actor Mykalti Williamson, better known as Bubba from Forrest Gump. But Final Destination 5... that's where it's at. That's where someone tried to make a legitimate movie with actual plot.
Can't believe you didn't like part 2 and that epic pile-up on the highway. It's a lot of ppl's favorite
The actresses were adults, so while there was sexualization of them, the idea is that it’s drawing the eyes of the guys who are in their school with them, like the camera guy and the upskirt picture, it’s their peers in school, so the guys hose perspective it is supposed to be from are of appropriate age for them. For those who are not, the fact that the actresses aren’t actual underage girls is what helps when stepping outside the story. At least, I believe that is the intention.
This one is definitely the best of the series. Death is absolutely vicious in this one, and the picture angle was a good way to keep the gimmick of spotting the signs fresh. And the main actress gives by far the best performance in the franchise, and the only one that’s truly believable. Even Tony Todd is slightly exaggerated in his creepiness, but her performance was taken seriously, and you could tell she was trying for that.
they actually used this concept in some way in the first one but people didn't catch it so they made it more of a focus in this one. Watch part one and you can see clues on how they're all going to die

The jester Todd makes on the plane like he's hanging himself. the picture of the bus on the wall when it shows the blonde after the plane just explodes you see a bus behind her. When Billy is watching the plane fly away it goes across his face in the same way when it gets cut in half

This was my first final destination and further increased my fear of Rollercoasters especially since i read a lot of stories about roller coaster accidents like a kid getting scalped on an old rickety coaster too close to a tree
I saw this movie the day before going a roller-coaster for the first time and it was a whole day of pure fear for me
10/10 would repeat the experience
FD3 is god tier. Mary Elizabeth Winstead chews every single scene. FD4 is a hot mess, I saw it in theaters at 10 years old and hated it even then, lol. But FD5 is another banger!
I completely forgot that they tied Lincoln and 9/11 in to Death's plan in this movie lmao, as if those were caused by crazy rube goldberg accidental death machines.

I was so excited for this one 😁 it's my favourite from the franchise. My theory which I'm not sure how popular it is, is that death allows the visions to pave the way for others on its list (and that death in these movies is just an arsehole 😂)
This one has the BEST acting not just because MEW is in it but the rest of the actors are just so good for the era this movie takes place in
The characters were under 18 but the actors would have to be over 18 or they wouldn't be allowed to show them nude in the first place, it's illegal lol 😅 ❤❤❤ XxXxX

How would y'all rate all FD movie from favorite to least for you personally? For me id say 3, 1, 2, 5, 4
For me, it’s 3, 1, 5, and then 2 and 4 are kinda tied. I know that 2 is a better movie, but it’s also just not fun. Like, every time I watch it, I get this awful feeling of dread and have an existential crisis. I don’t know what it is about it that makes it different from the rest, but I don’t really find joy from watching it and just suffer through it every time I do a marathon. Maybe it’s because the creators didn’t embrace the comedy and ridiculousness of everything until the 3rd one, but this one was a refreshing shift.
My ranking is 2,5,3,1,4. Genuinely like all of them except the 4th movie though

It's not actually a historical reason. That photo of Lincoln does exist with the crack going across his head, like the bullet.
Except that the bullet passed under his eye socket, not through his scalp. The cracked collodion is real, but the story about it is false.

This is one of my fav franchises and they all have their pros and cons but this one is hands down my favorite and it owes SO SO much to Mary Elizabeth Winstead. She sold this performance so hard and bc of that (imo!!) It's the only one that actually feels like there's any emotional stakes and that these are real people in a scary and impossible situation. All the other characters/films feel more like charactures other than Alex in the first film. Just my opinion!!
My thoery goes its not at all death that leaves clues, it can't be, IF THEY EVER SAY IT IS, then it is bad writing, BECAUSE, death is said to get angry and make death worse by tony todd when he is telling the others "you don't even want to F with that mother .... " So death doesn't want his design to get ruined , too many dominoes too much clean up when he had to work backwords, So my theory, ANOTHER force gives the visions and signs to mess up deaths design and create a new design for all humans since every life saved creates essentially a new timeline as said in FD2 "we effect every life that we wouldnt have" So death is angry when it is cheated. If it is just a gift their wouldn't be signs, they make a joke about super powers on FD3 DVD CHOOSE THEIR FATE, but its not cannon , Point is, Death actually might not be the bad guy, He has a design that leads to one final event for the end of the world because everything ends up somewhere, So the other force has a different goal for humanity, But who says that is a good ending? I would love to write the final FD movie, THE FINAL DESTINATION lol

The ONLY thing that bothered me about this movie is WHY didn't her sister say something earlier if she was on the roller coaster, or when she was freaking out, as a SISTER I would go up to her and ask what's wrong, instead her and Amber dipped real quick and acted like nothing happened. 💀

This was my first horror movie as a teen and also my first final destination.
So I have a lot of love for it, despite some of the flaws.
It brings memories of me at halloween, eating candy and watching it and truly being glued to the screen.
Next FD movies are both my least favorite and another of my favorites.

There's two actors from this that are also in ginger snaps. I don't know why for these last few I've just been commenting actors that are in other movies you should watch.
Don’t fret, man. It’s safe to say most if not all of us aren’t here for the story of these movies. The nature of how each scene leads up to someone’s death is what intrigues me at least. They’re not meant to be serious, just kooky violent fun. Side note: Kevin’s girlfriend who dies in the premonition is actress Gina Holden. She played Joyce in Saw 7.
And FD 2 did feature the biker woman flashing her body in regards to nudity being in the franchise already. Crystal Lowe and Chelan Simmons who were the tanning bed victims were 25 and 24 years old when the movie released in 2006. Typical cliche of casting adults as high schoolers. FD 4 is unanimously considered the worst of all 5 FD films, by the way. 5 does get back on track.

In what world does someone graduate at 17? I graduated on time at 19, because my birthday was just right after the cut off date. Those girls were either really smart or there were less minimum requirements at that time.
It’s actually very common. Anyone who has a birthday after the summer pretty much graduates at 17. Me and brothers birthdays are in September so we graduated high school at 17 because graduation is in the summer.
@@davidl3216 At first I was more confused, but then I remembered that my diploma got mailed to me. Technically I was still 18 when I graduated. I just so happened to have also turned 18 at the start of the school year. Anyone with an August birthday would still be 17 at graduation.

The tv series idea is great. After all, the first one is inspired by a twilight zone original series episode.
I got to say it's a little ironic that these two besties from high school would be buried right next to each other. I mean, maybe their families are like well. They were best friends and there's these two spots at the graveyard next to each other. They'd want to stay together or some s*** like that but I think the odds of them being able to have a double burial or a little ridiculous. Not as ridiculous as some of the s*** in the franchise but I'm just saying it's not bloody likely
They should have been sisters so that the cut to the funeral made sense.

I remember from the tanning scene that I was convinced they were gonna do a fake out scene. Something along the lines of the dentist from FD 2 or the teacher's house in FD. Presenting you different options and then it's gonna be something completely else. They have done it a lot of times so I thought 'you're not fooling me movie!'.
I thought upon first viewing that it wouldn't happen at the salon itself. BOY was I wrong 0_0
Didn't like the girls and their attitudes but....I wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy, good christ. (the actresses are older than the characters they are playing, that might ease things a bit ico the nudity)

To be fair, at least the actresses had to be of age. I'm sure you know since you've mentioned game of thrones that Aria was of age at the end. I don't know if you're done watching it yet, but spoiler alert if you haven't. She loses her virginity in the final season and literally everyone who knew about that scene googled how old the actress was that day. It like blew up the internet. And yes, even though her character might not have been 18 yet, her actress was, but still it was so f****** awkward for everyone because they were picturing Arya as the little girl from season 1
Dude, what was your real and honest opinion about the ended of Wendy's first premonition when she fell on the track head first? What did you mean by you weren't that crazy about it and didn't really know what was going on? But, tbh, I don't think any human being can die or getting their face smashed from falling on a track on a roller-coaster. But then again, I don't know but what was your real opinion about it?

completely agree, this is the best final destination movie but the sexualisation is sooo weird. I remember watching this when I was like 9 loll. After watching number 4 I couldnt eat strawberries for a while
I like this one & the first…verry early 2000s & i I think the writers wanted to shock the audience & make them feel uncomfortable soo that could play a part in why they revealed the grls ages after the fact …but i did enjoy that transition from the tanning beds to the graves🤷🏽♀️

She can’t. Death won’t allow her to die until it’s her turn. People have tried in other movies.
I think the first ones the best. It's the most serious, and has the most likable characters in my opinion. It also had realistic deaths. Parts 2 to 5 progressively break the laws of physics and utilise poor cgi in their kills. Part 5 in particular really annoyed me with how silly and unrealistic a lot of the kills where. In parts it almost feels like a Scary Movie style parody of the original.
Hopefully the 6th one in production right now will aim to be more like the first.
Also, if you liked this one so much, I really think you’ll like FD5- that one is my personal favourite

Okay, I feel like that was a choice to make the nudity scene before you hear that they didn't get to make it to 18 so they have summer birthdays. I feel like that's to make anyone feel bad. Who was like? Oh yay! Titties you know like that guy who is harassing them to flash those 'sweet, sweet titties' on the coaster you know the guys actually harassing them I feel like that was to make anyone who is happy about the nudity to feel instantly s***** about it!
For me it's easily 5-1-2-3-4 super excited for 6.

Well, I like this film but it's nowhere near as good as the first two films. All the characters are wonderfully irritating except for Kevin.
The girls were 17 in the movie, yes! But they were in their mid 20's in real life. So i don't think it was a big deal.
These naked chicks were over 19 when this was filmed so don't worry bout it dude... They would have never casted a female in a nude role if they were under 19.
that wasn't necessarily the issue as i assumed the actresses were comfortably of age, but that the movie HAD to clarify after the fact that the characters themselves were underage

They **always** get 20-year-olds to play high school roles; check out Beverly Hills 90210, Luke Perry was like 30 playing a 17-year old role in 1990 lol
