The one part of the Ashes Lore that confused the hell out of me. The root entity named "Clawbone" is the metaphorical "Dragon" we seek to destroy in Chronos, yet is not what we fight at the end of the game. Instead we fight the mental image of the Dreamer, which has taken form of the dragon that the tribe folk must have seen if they are able to tell the tale of the scouring. I am left to assume that maybe the Tribe folk had witnessed Singe, a root creature similar to a dragon but not the metaphorical "Dragon". The dreamer must have also interacted with Singe in some way if it takes on a similar form within the dream. I wish this was a tad simpler...
Isn’t the dreamer also just a vessel though? And the root communicate through them? And in later games it states “it all started with clawbone.” And that’s where the dragon hearts come from apparently.

@@Persegan ah sweet, I smashed Remnant alot, put about 100 hrs into it lol so looks like I'll be getting this one too, I'm surprised at how easily he killed that boss considering how hard some of the boss fights from Remnant were......step forward Riphide....took me about an hour (or 2) to kill that badboy, I've rerolled the city world at least 10 times to get the hunter pistol but never got it ffs lol
it took more than 10 death with my full upgraded hammer, but with newly full upgraded scythe i beated this at one try. Use agility base weapon and purple magic which gives health absorbption. Otherwise this stupid boss really sucks since adventure difficulty 😂
i've beaten the game with Adventure difficulty, too. i've defeated the Dreamer with nothing more than my Iron Sword, Wooden Shield and Fire Stone. (you know, the weapons you start with) it took me about 5 tries (iirc), yes; but i ultimately pulled through. heck, i beat pretty much the *entire game* with these weapons (minus the stone. i made use of the others; not that i used them frequently). *this game is an adventure i will cherish forever.* and it has nearly everything i wanted to see in a game. it's not everyone's cup of tea, granted; but i see it as a good game. tell me, what problems did you have with the Dreamer?

Singe is just another dragon that escaped, made in Clawbone's image to scare any would be hero's that attempt the same thing as before. This game has a lot more lore than you'd think, if you know where to look.
Oh so thats the one Harsgaard mentioned in subject 2923. Interesting. Chronos is bad but I really wanna know the lore. One thing tho the description of Dragon Link says Harsgaard was the first to speak with the dragon. This is about Clawbone but not Singe right?

its on casual mode you only loose stamina from sprinting and blocking attacks

Use it when Dreamer flies away, otherwise it will drain part of your health
