Lovely tench and a stunning venue... in my experience with tench if the lake is quite shallow and holds weed beds thru the winter then the tench will feed. 2 winters ago I had tench everytime I fished it while targeting the carp, even with ice on the surface !! Catching them all the way thru the winter right up to the end of the last day of the season. So don't give up thinking that tench shut off completely because in my experience they don't... 😊 good luck with the coming pike season. Iam waiting on the rivers to ease down before I start to pike fish as there a bit full and brown. I might hit up a few lakes before I try the river in search of a few pike. Would love to try and beat my pb river pike of 26lb 6oz . 😊
