Make you right mate, if you have awesome fishing on your door step, espesh the Perch fishing when you catch such decent ones and you have it to yourself, then take fall advantage fella. Great video, would like to have seen some of your approach, baiting, rigs etc.... maybe if your allowed, use a lively, it normally produces the better ones, might get a 4lber ;) good luck and keep us posted!
Cheers 👍 I used really simple tactics, running ledger with 1oz lead, 6lb fluoro hook link size 6 hook baited with a lobworm or prawn, couldn’t be more simple. Good tip on the live bait I think they are allowed so might try that one.
Great to watch thanks Lee. I'm new to fishing but perch quickly became my favourite species as beautiful fish and Great character. I've only caught perch under a pound on the float near a lock between Bristol n Bath so far but just joined couple of local lakes nearby so excited about trying the free running weight and bobbin set up to catch some bigger stripeys. Any tips to give me a fighting chance? James
You could try prawns or worms ledgered on the bottom as in my vids. I use the cooked large prawns on a size 6 hook, 6lbs fluoro hook length and 1oz weight. Cast out, let line sink, pull off a bit of slack line as perch will drop the bait if they feel resistance. Good luck hope you catch a big one.
@@leefishersallwaysfishingwhat rods were u using for the feeder tactics mate...I've got a couple of korum trilogy rods and was wondering if the quiver top section would work
@@leefishersallwaysfishingthats good to know then as the quiver sections are 1.5tc thanks mate...Great content 👍 do u plan on any more perch sessions in the near future?
There was an unofficial club match that day and the fish was witnessed by some committee members fishing in the next swim so I couldn’t keep that one to myself. I still didn’t get the club record though.
Do love a nice Perch, great fish, well done Lee, they do put up a good scrap.
Lovely video mate! Be nice to see the setups for less experienced anglers like myself. Well done great looking venue! 😊
Cheers, check out my vid ‘Carp and Perch from the quiet pond’ the rig I use is shown there.

Really good video 👍👍
Cheers, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Great watch mate and some cracking fish 👍 when using bite alarms for perch do fish slack lines?
I use slack lines and very light bobbins, running leads and long hook lengths to try and minimise resistance

@@gavincorbett1272 I’d love to catch some more decent perch but I don’t know any more venues in my Sussex area that contain them
Hi Lee just getting into perch fishing really enjoyed your video lovely fish too is that a club or day ticket venue?
Club water but can’t say where as they won’t let me I’m afraid.
@@leefishersallwaysfishing Don't blame them m8 I like quiet waters myself
Hi Lee, did you claim the club record or did you do as I would have done and kept it too yourself ?
There was an unofficial club match that day and the fish was witnessed by some committee members fishing in the next swim so I couldn’t keep that one to myself. I still didn’t get the club record though.
Where's this lake sir
And lovely fish 😋
