@@BowDisciples I have...still hard to decide... I'm only a 27" draw and need speed but I shoot alot of tourneys too so the 34 is awesome... on performance I'm getting 287 with a 377 grain arrow...sr350 I'm getting 301 but the ss34 feels better on cycle
Hey James, picked up the SR350 yesterday - that's one **'Sexy Bow Beast'** !! Optifade Subalpine ROCKS on this Bow, just fyi. 'The Shot' is Sublime. It's definitely fitting in with My Macros ! Thanks Man 👍 John
I’ve noticed the cable wear myself on the ss cables. Starting to get slight serving separation at the cam. Seems to be common on pretty much all the dead lock models. The last 3-4 years. No big deal…. I usually only run stock strings and cables one season and go custom after that. The guy who makes strings for me , does an excellent job and I’ve never had any short term issues out of his strings .
I too own both the Revolt X and the SR350, they have been my first two flagship bow purchases and I have been happy with both so far. I am not a brand guy, I just prefer to tinker and maintain my bows myself and Bowtech arguably has the best tech and innovation for just that. As for the speed, this bow is very efficient and does seem to like heavier arrows. Didn't chrono mine, but at 69# and 28" draw (performance mod), my 505g arrows landed me a 280fps sight tape that is accurate out to about 80yds. I have seen a Ohio Premier Archery get 348fps at IBO spec and 258fps at 70# and 28.5" draw from a 597g arrow, which is cookin' for a heavy setup. As for the cable situation, I have gotten my custom strings to last me now 2k plus shots in the past 3 months with it in the elements hunting, all on the performance mod. I am fortunate that my father-in-law makes strings, so it was trial and error, but we got this 3rd set down. That performance mod is harsh on the cables for sure, but it ultimately comes down to the string and string maker as well. At 28", I got used to the performance draw cycle quick, and I like the dead back wall that I have to physically push out of to let down. I would recommend this bow to anyone who wants efficiency with heavier setups and who prefers to tune and tinker on their own. A lot of great bows out there and this is definitely one.
Great review! What would you think in terms of draw and velocity: for a SR350 shooting at #70 in Performance setting vs a RevoltX80 at #75 in Comfort setting?
You should add a solid string stop on it and custom threads! I don't have social media or I would get a hold of you and get you some customs! Maybe make a bow on tuning your bows. or how you do it.
Nice review! I recently had to switch from right hand to left hand and I started with a Solution SS. After teaching myself to shoot all over againy, I decided to get an SR 350. After narrowing my choices down to the SR 350 and the Hoyt XR7, I went for the SR 350. I had a hard time believing that a "speed bow" could feel as smooth as the SR 350. My only complaint is that I ordered mine in mid-December and it still hasn't arrived.
Bowtech puts out a very good line of bows for sure any of the companies that put out a pro series line of bows are good also its what feels good to you the Bowtech is my choice they all make excellent bows.
Glad to see you still love it! I was afraid of "future problems" that may arise. Just ordered some catfish customs strings for mine, but I don't shoot anywhere near as much as you do so I should have spares for quite some time. Great review! Keep em coming and STAY WILD! 🤘
@@quantumeraser4833 yessir, I did! Will be my first set of custom strings on a bow, so I wouldn't know good from bad, but I've heard nothing but good about his strings.
You should take a step back and review an old bow like the invasion cpx. I would like to get you thoughts on this bow in todays line up of newer models.
I finally got my sr350 last weekend. I really like.it the little I have shot it. My only complaint is the weight once I got it all set up and balanced the way I like. I haven't got a ton of shots through it yet. How many shots you figure you got before your cables were shot? This is my first bowtech, but I will probably get a set of first strings for it once these wear out.
Awesome stuff man! I too love my SR350… i go through strings like crazy. Even my Threadz have to be changed out quite often. No burs even tried new cams…. all that (the top wears faster than the bottom) I shoot more than anyone known to man 100 a.m and another 100 or more in the evening… strings do you recommend for getting the most out of.. Thanks bro (SR 350 30” 70 #)
Shot this on both mods. I prefer and like The Solution better. Same riser.. But a lot better Bow imo.. Sr350 felt really stiff, When I shot it. I bought a Solution last yr.. Really no reason to own both. Which is better. Up to you. But I deff lean towards Solution. I loved the Hoyt TT that's my fav, Bow of 2022 and why I own it. ✌

James I have the 30” Revolt, I just had it re stung iand the tech upgraded the factory cables, do you run the factory or upgraded ones? Also I know you shoot way more than I do, how many times have you had new cables installed in the short amount of time you’ve had it? Thanks
I’m moving on from my experience and looking at the ar350. Going from the 7” to 6” brace hight, was that a big deal for you? Would you say the old bowtech experience was more forgiving?
Ok now I feel a little better knowing I’m not the only one going threw cables on bowtech my cp 28 is doing it I went to gas bow strings so far looking good
The V3X is awesome! Hoyt put out a great bow this year as well! Hoyt is right on par with Mathews now, or at least close. PSE put out solid bows this year. Not quite as good as the Hoyts or Mathews but still good, PSE bows are fast! They are hitting and exceeded their IBO.
Bought leftover bowtech revolt x a couple month ago and already replacing the stock string Bc the cables had stretched so much. I think it’s the strings they use, hopefully anyway. Ordered some ABB to throw on it.
@@michaelhines4122 I’d rather pay $75 more dollars for a new bow with good strings than get these junk ones and have to replace them after a month or two.

After a few months with the ABB strings, same results. Severe serving separation on those tight turns on the cables. So maybe these bows are hard on cables. Are you all having any luck out of any other strings??
I am actually doing some research into 33 inch bows. Do you feel like a 33 inch bow would be just as easy to maneuver when ground stalking too or bring into a tree stand compared to a 29 inch bow (my current bow is 29 inches)?
Oh yeah. My previous bow was 33.5” ata. Hunted with it 8 years. Being a southeastern tree stand hunter I never had an issue. Never had a ground blind issue either. To be honest 3” just isn’t that much. My current bow is 30”. I don’t notice a difference in maneuvering.
I got my 8 year old boy a bear archery youth bow. I want one now. I am brand new and I mean brand new to archery. Im a long range coyote hunter and I use thermal at night. The bows are def fun. Just holding one..the VX3 or phase4 feels great. I think the bowtechs did too. Are the draws similiar? At a 60lb draw will some bows be easier? How would u tell a newbie to get him a bow.
