When doing the scope, look into insets (i key) and extruding (e key) parts. You can extrude it into itself as well. There's also a built-in tool that will check that the item is manifold (3d-print) and fixes most issues.
Edit: I almost the original reason I was going to comment: great job on the video and I hope you have a great weekend!

I find it looks a lot like a clone trooper, especially with the hologram

Looks more like Solar Auxilia army with Star Wars Empire Trooper vive than actual Space Marine

That could be cool, too! I tried him without a space marine backpack and it definitely had more of a guard feel

I don't remember where I saw this tip for wraps and bandages:

I've actually (sorta) tried that to make some scrolls for a spell caster and it worked really well. I haven't tried making straps with it though! I'll have to give that a try.
haha thank you very much! I'm a little biased but I agree

Cool model but it seems far more like a Clone Trooper from star wars than an Astartes

Thanks m8! Just my interpretation of one (but I was 100% influenced by clone troopers haha)

great video and very cool mini! I recommend doing some beginner tutorials for blender to learn some easier ways of cutting into models and such, it would really help to make the process easier. love how the model came out though!

I love your method of just adding bits. Blender is so powerful I get lost in the options and end up doing nothing.

Ive sat down several times to learn it. Ive even produced some stuff then life gets in the way for a month or two and I forget EVERYTHING ! I end up windows 3d builder !!! But your video has inspired me a bit. If I use blender just to do simple adding shapes , edits and cuts which is 80% of what I do with models anyway thdn I will get comfortable with it and perhaps start using more advanced stuff.
