    Thanks for the detailed demo. I’m just starting to practice countersinking and I tried both the single-flute and 3-flute cutters. At 5:30, you show a long “chip” from the single-flute cutter. I found that the long chips from the single-flute cutter can cause a circular scratch around the hole. I was using a drill press at 250rpm. What rpm would you recommend? Thanks.

      Maybe slightly faster, or be very patient with your feed rate. Not breaking the chips will cause them to spin and scratch the surface. Just remember the surface is Alclad and incredibly soft. It’s so easy to scratch that you can scratch it with your finger rubbing it. If it’s actually gouging it so that you can feel it with your fingernail, then you’re certainly using too heavy of a feed rate.

    Thanks for the3 great video! I have a dozen 8' airline aluminum L tracks. What counter sink bit would you suggest for using a hand drill? My bolts will be 5/16", Thanks again, Ray

    Is it advisable to use a lubricant with the cutter like paraffin for aluminium?

    Can we adjust the length?I mean depth of countersunk
