I loved the emotion which went unde the word "Pulsar" every time u uttered. i own a 2012 Pulsar 220F. While it has completed 60K KM, i still cant fathom how good the enthusiasm is on the bike. im sad that Bajaj did not revive the brand of Pulsars as it shud have while the entire sporty bike segment grew. sadly the RS200 did not make a hit as much as CBBR 250s or still to compare it with Yamaha 150. With so much time and years of experience, Pulsars shud have been the King of thrones when it came to 250 or 300 CC segment. its v v sad to see Gigxar and othr bikes taking the demand for pulsar away. NS and 220 shud have been made better bikes. Dominor needn't have existed in my opinion, if a BS4 version of Pulsar 400 cud have done the job better. Not to mention, these were one of the last bikes to hold big tank- 15-18L of capacity and we need not worry of touring in these for hundreds of KMs. I have not heard stories of Pulsars breakdown at anypoint, expet for their break pads and discs which were lacking engineering. But now Bajaj cud have learned from their partnerships to make this a beautiful motorcycle to ride. I Bid a v sad farewell to what "Pulsars- Definitely Male" stood for.... and Hope they kindle the emotion in every 90s kid the next time they see a 180,200 or 220 run on the roads.

I am considering upgrading from my 12-year-old Activa to a Bajaj Pulsar. Recently, I've been immersing myself in numerous TH-cam videos to make an informed decision. However, this particular video stood out. It had no flashy editing and over-the-top speed tests and useless details. You, dear reviewer, have quickly become my preferred content creator due to your elegance, attention to detail, and finesse in presenting the information. I would happily pay to watch such content. Hats off to the Motorinc team for their exceptional work.

Yesterday I ridden 50km in N 160 in Keralas busy highways. It's made me frustrated 😅 Intial acceleration was so good but crossing 70 km/h the bike feel dead ,from there it's won't pickup speed easily .
    My findings
    1) it's so good to ride in city conditions
    2) It's performed well in hilly sections
    3) it's not ment for highways
4)Fuel Efficiency is damn good 50km/L that we are getting ❤️
    5) ride quality feels like on stiffer side.
    6) head light is very good
    7) breaking is very good and confidents inspiring 😙

Okay, the aesthetics of these videos so damn good!!! specially the high frame rate bike shots, the colour, black bike, black rider suit, the grading it just makes the output so much better, and the shots taken in the studio as are very well lit. And the crispness in the voice of the person talking. And lastly the content is so clearly explained. Saying this again, in this segment this channel will stand out because of the aesthetic they are going with.

Nostalgia hit hard for someone who owned the P150 UG3 as his first motorcycle and then upgraded to a P220. Apart from the smaller niggles like the clip-on handlebar breaking on a corner to the gear shifter falling off mid-ride, the engines and (daredevil) chassis had a character. Still recollect the way Karizma owners tried to overtake Pulsars as though an untold Ind-Pak road fight emerged without any warning lights.
I feel the new age Pulsars are the RTR series from TVS. I do miss the two decades with my Pulsars and the chaps at Probiking who made every service a knowledge learning activity. But, with the amount of failures, I would not recommend Pulsars anymore. Let alone the fact that nothing about the N or P excites like the earlier Pulsars. Good video, love the views, edit and studio.

I agree everything you wrote. These new gen Pulsars have actually lost their charm & attractiveness which they were known for. To me P220 is the last orginal Pulsars ever known in the Indian motorbike markets.
Yes, I still own my Pulsar 150 DTSI UG4 (with handlebar instead of split handles) & it still gives me pure joy with an average of 40-45 mileage (I drive rough & fast in the city traffic) & i barely take it to highways cuz beyond 70kmph it's irritating.
The only thing I upgraded are it's worst halogen 35w bulb with 35w LED NIGHTEYE, tube tyres to tubeless ones & the recommended engine oil to Motul 20w-50 5100.

Yeah I did test ride the 160 4v couple of weeks ago felt it that isn't that happy to stay on one gear for a long time and needs frequent shifts. The bike asks to push it to it's extreme but doesn't give you the confidence(may be smaller tyres are the reason) at the same time, atleast in the urban areas because I never tried it on the highway. I had to look further up towards the 200 rtr but ended up buying the N160 yesterday because I somehow found what I was looking for in the 160 section. With my rides probably being restricted to in and around Bangalore, the N is very much what I wanted. Even If had bought the RTR I would pretty much stick to rain mode mostly and switch to urban mode (I don't need sports mode in traffic and also my work place is just 4kms away) when the roads are dry and N does perform better in these scenarios and also the dual channel adds to extra benefit. The only thing that concerns me though is the performance on bad road conditions that give you an off-road experience. When it comes to the P series it wasn't at offer for test ride in the showrooms I enquired.

"Pulsar is an Emotion for 90's kids."
In the second week of January, I borrow my friend's Bajaj 150 Pulsar (2015 edition), 7 years old, to ride to Mysuru with my wife.
    It's a mix of experience,
    1. The riding posture; the pressure you get from the pillow directly impacts your hand, and it is challenging to continuously ride more than 100kms.
    2. I was riding on Bangaluru-Mysuru Highway, and it was tough to move it beyond 90km/hr; I didn't feel very confident about the breaks, and the vibrations were killing the experience.
This bike is an emotion for me; I still remember the first model with that bulky fat tank!

As we are mostly habitual of attaching the rawness and rigid nature as bg theme in motercycle reviews to make an alpha image of the product the approach of such minimalism with the shade of baby blue! It was not easy to consume at first but I think it grows up on me with time and now i started liking this... It's NEW! Still the logo colour shade is... Thanks for the wonderful soothing content. Honestly, choosing a motorcycle has become really confusing! In the last two / three years the variables have changed a lot. Multiple new and old (yet available) options to choose from multiple brands, rise in prices of the same old models which were available earlier too! Rise in fuel prices, stricter RTO norms and rising traffic. The choice is not easy as it was 10 years ago for new and experienced riders.

    • @motorinc
      @motorinc  ปีที่แล้ว

We don't believe more choice has made things harder. It's just too much, and sometimes irrelevant, information that raises the confusions levels. The availability of the information also makes you wonder (for longer) if you know everything you needed to... causing many to overthink things wildly. We believe expanded choice is good, we just need to cut through the clutter and get to the point. That is one of our goals at MotorInc!

I think the P150 trades on the characteristics of the LS135 now.. Lighter, Nimbler, Simpler with a dash of sportiness, refined and pocket friendly to run and maintain. It won't be hard for college goers to convince their parents to get them one.
On the other hand.. the N160 was pressed on to duty to bank on or rather to increase the desirability factor of the N250..and with a slightly more matured character than the otherwise slightly fun-loving eccentric P150.
It's more for someone who really loved the N250 but wanted a more economical sibling..now can settle with the N160.
May be this is how, I hope Bajaj had thought while giving a green signal to the developments of both P-150 and N-160.

Great Review guys , really loved it. I bought a N160 last year and just a few moths later....bajaj decided to release the P150. So far, my experience has been delightful ngl. I was very close to booking a Apache 160 4V but later after the test ride, it became obvious that isn't made for me as the bike is too short ( I seel this coz ii'm 6'1)and the seating is way too sporty. The pulsar on the other hand is very very comfortable and is very stable at speeds above 100kmph. My opinion on whether to buy the P or the N is that, spend the extra rs 11,000 and go for the N as dual channel ABS is a llifesaver, especially during the monsoon and the wider tires help alot. About the rear suspension, yes I agree it's very stiff but, its ADJUSTABLE! The rear suspension gets considerably softer when a pillion is seated but I've adjusted the rear and now it feels like it's doing justice to the arguably best fronnt suspensions in class.
Open to hear opinions on why the P is better XD.

Great content MotorInc. Nice to see you talking about motorcycles and what they stand for. When the Pulsar was launched back in 2001, I was in college and I remember being totally gobsmacked by the design. It was like nothing else on the market. That period was like the Renaissance period for the biking segment. It was not a perfect bike but its flaws gave it character. There was something that clearly differentiated it from the CBZ. Every manufacturer brought its A game to the table. Every product had a clear differentiation. Think Yamaha FZ or LML Graptor (hope you remember that one 😀), or even the original Honda Unicorn. Over time I think all niche ideas in the 150cc segment have been exhausted. The Pulsar has just become "another" bike in the segment. It has become matured and civilized to the point of being boring. I would rather buy a tattered copy of the original Pulsar from 20 years ago and restore it instead of buying this one.

The content quality is superb. Thanks to the team of Motor Inc. led by Shumi & Katrikeya for educating us, the motor enthusiasts.
One request- please make a video on selecting a bike. I am looking to upgrade from R15. My budget is 4 lakh.
To be used for office commute, dropping my kid at and picking up from school. Occasional touring with mix of highways, rural roads and some off roads. Pillion comfort is also a major criteria. Please help me in my decision.

We don't need a video for that! We can help solve it right here! Do you have a list of machines you're considering?

@@motorinc Thanks. The choices are limited. Though, I have following bikes in my mind:
      1. 390 Adventure (my wife doesn’t like the raised pillion seat)
      2. 650 Interceptor (very heavy & seat not suitable for long rides)
      3. 310 GS (service cost is high)

Maan this vdo is literally what I think about pulsar these days
excitement is gone wow factor gone
Thye become mature (pulsar and mature wtf)
First pulsar was revolutionary and every new after that till thye start changing stickers every year and keeping dead alive on ventilator
While other grew but never mature thye went no where and wake up all of sudden and decided we are good boys now
Thye need to bring something excitement back into market just be first of something or be the most powerful just stand out a bit obviously it'll not be jack of all trade but I'll rather have one bike wich is giving 100 in one aspect than splitting it into 10 more

The meditative qualities of your videos are highly appreciated, especially when the rest of TH-cam is shouting hoarsely. But yet, at some level, there’s a feeling of pretentious depth, where there is none. My 2 cents.

      "Pretentious Depth"? Explain please?

    • @doncorleone9297

      @@motorinc hey
I just feel that giving an apparent sense of 'depth' or 'profundity' to *_All_* content makes it look pretentious. Certain topics/themes do make themselves suitable to such treatment, but some others bring a sense of pretentiousness. Thats all. Otherwise, I like the content.

    • @motorinc
      @motorinc  ปีที่แล้ว

Ah. We don’t think we have the luxury of being less serious. For Shumi it’s a small bike. For you it’s in your past. But for someone else out there it’s what they’re striving to bring home. We cannot imagine a way to not give that dream its due, whether it looks pretentious or not.

Bajaj must consider changing the overall headstyle for the likes of pulsar 125.
Between these two, of course P150. The look of it suits my taste.
You guys are creating great contents, with spot on topics ❤.

Thank you. Finally someone has cleared up the confusion on which of the 4 Pulsar 150/160 should be purchased. The answer was simple though, buy the newest one. I suppose this video was easier to do since it's just Bajaj involved in this comparo but the Ronin/ Hunter was the one that was truly hats off.
On another note, you keep saying there are 9 Pulsars. I counted 10 on Bikewale. Counting the N250 and F250 as one?

    • @motorinc
      @motorinc  ปีที่แล้ว

9 - yes, F/N are cosmetic versions of each other so counted as one.
Thanks Anant! It's not because is the newest though, the P150 is the most cohesive of this coterie of commuters

Hahaha, I wish I could, like they show in films, beam this to prospective N buyers everywhere right now; still better, play it on Giant screens outside every Bajaj Dealership. Well distilled content.
