It's because when players drastically have higher performance ratings online compared to their OTB Blitz play it simply doesn't make any sense at all. Mouse movement and increments simply do not explain it because you could use all the top players as a barometer proving that wrong. Except for hikaru of course l.ao. And when people do not play like their ratings suggests and it happens so often it gives the perception that the ratings are so undermined they are completely meaningless.
Should have called Magnus and asked him what's up and talked in weird code. Yeah Edward is 3 now!? You think he wants a horse for his birthday!? Ahh, yes I forgot about the religious ceremony coming down from afar. Hopefully he remembers there is a castle in his way this time. Alright, check you later king! *hang up*

more than half the people online cheat. When you see someones rating you expect a certain level of play and guys at Kramniks level can easily tell when its not. The fact is the mmr and ratings online in general, are completely meaningless. they literally mean nothing and it can become frustrating. A 1500 player might play like someone way under 1000 or way above 2000. There is no consistency and its obvious as to why. Because of guys like Aman cheating for a living by speedrunning, Which the website unprecedently and historically publicly condones, using multiple accounts is literally fashionable in online gaming communities. I might as well assume you have more than one account even though thats against TOS. You don't even have to answer its a rhetorical quesiton of course you do. Otherwise you wouldn't even make an ignorant comment like this. I literally don't know anyone who plays on a single account thats not titled, besides me. Online gaming will never be respected by general society. Maybe Aman is a fan of the WWE because thats all chess will be seen as, with the only difference being chess will be seen as a childs game. All Kramnik is saying publicly is what everyone who is an adult and not nuts has already been thinking for years.
According to Kramnik, it's suspicious when his opponent has 90%+ accuracy, even if Kramnik played badly. When his opponent has lower accuracy, it's still suspicious if the opponent only started to blunder later in the game. By those standards, when is the opponent not suspicious?
IM Daniel Rensch explain the accuracy percentage is just there to give newbie players, who have no idea of chess as they are just learning to move the pieces, an overall measurement of how they did in the game. It was never designed for higher rated players to use, especially professional titled chess players, let alone GMs. That's why you see many 1000 elo games with 80, 90 percent accuracy. Are they secretly GMs stuck at 1000 elo? No. Kramnik probably missed the memo.
I can tell you accuracy doesn’t mean anything. Im like 800-900 atm and I’ve got a few 100% games in my account (very short obviously) and loads of games in the high 90s with 20-30+ moves. People are just way better than they used to be, people know much more theory and there’s way more people playing. At my level I often play people who know all the lines of their specific opening they use and can play quite regularly at like 1000 points above their ELO level, it’s just they collapse when someone deviates from what they know (myself included)
If you’re not losing in the opening to Kram you’re cheating. Impossible that you have more knowledge of the theory and ideas of positions than the Champ!
Add Kramnick to the long list of boomers who lost their minds with age. "I was world champion how could some regular GM kid almost draw me? SUSPICIOUS! CONCERNING!". note: I'm nearly a boomer too, gonna try hard not to yell at kids these days in 5 years. Wish me luck.
Well he wouldn't be wrong. Cause Aman built his career on smurfing online for a living. I wouldn't put anything past him. "they get their rating points back" is the excuse for anonymously undermining the mmr and robbing unsuspecting players of an expected competitive match for views and ad money. Literally teaching kids to manipulate ratings and prioritize that over sportsmanship and competitiveness. You sound like a cheater. Which is probably half the playerbase. I bet you have more than one account even though that is against the TOS for what should be obvious reasons to someone mature and honest. Then again you are not getting any sports sense from watching these streamers. I also get frustrated at the fact ratings literally don't mean a damn thing online. Aman is breeding cheaters like you everytime he smurfs for "entertainment and education" ....RIP chess. How fake, dishonest and immature online gaming is, is probably a culture shock for Kramnik and he is embarrassed for even playing on the site.
@@JackMott Thats because us boomers know half the people online cheat. For example, a kid like you thinks there is nothing wrong with using more than one account undermining the mmr. During this game, Vlad was ranting on his stream about how fast the kids play today and "speculating" whether or not Aman was using a bot 😂😂 And this from someone who plays online speed chess rarely and was using the two click method with no premoves enabled (actually I'm impressed he was able to keep ahead of the increment during the scramble with zero mouse skills). He's totally lost it. It's a real shame, actually. Top 10 all time player reduced to this...
He's now also obsessed with CAPS and spent a lot of the stream trying to match the accuracy from any given online speed game to a classical FIDE rating 🤔, completely ignoring the fact that CAPS also depends on how well your opponent lets you play And saying that it's suspicious that a GM would play at "86 level" is clearly ridiculous. Tin hat territory
Kramnik's gigantic ego won't allow him to accept that he's over the hill now. Also remember that nobody is allowed to refute his amateur statistics unless they're a Fields Medalist mathematician.
Kramnik does not understand that 1- he's getting old 2- he's not as good at speed chess as he is / was at classical. So he thinks everyone's a cheater. Im sure in Classical OTB he would destroy some of these fide masters he plays online and who are this "strong" in blitz and bullet ... but he's not playing OTB and he's not playing classical.
