    *********************************************************************
In this video you'll discover the nootropics benefits of L-Carnosine. Including why we use L-Carnosine as a nootropic, recommended dosage, side effects and clinical research. This is an update to the video on L-Carnosine I did several years ago.
L-Carnosine is known as the ‘longevity molecule’. But don’t let that put you off if you’re not concerned about anti-aging. Carnosine levels decrease with age - starting at age 10! And decrease by 63% by the time you reach 70.
L-Carnosine is one of the most powerful antioxidants known. It’s a heavy-metal scavenger. It’s a super auto-regulator. Your brain uses l-carnosine to repair tissue and clear away toxins. And increase the energy output of your mitochondria.
L-Carnosine can revive mitochondria. And even rescue your brain cells if the mitochondria have stopped functioning.
L-Carnosine has a powerful antioxidant effect in your brain. It continues to prevent oxidative damage even after brain cells have been attacked by free radicals. Preventing brain cell death and neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
As a nootropic, L-Carnosine improves cognition, memory, energy levels, prevents brain cell death, and is anti-aging.
This in-depth L-Carnosine updated review covers:
    00:0 L-Carnosine intro

I just started taking epitalon and it is a miracle for sleep for me. I have been experimenting with peptides and amino acids. The tricky thing for me to figure out is how to time amino acids so they don’t cancel each other out or cause problems. With food/without etc.
Do you know if L-Carnosine interacts with or shouldn’t be taken at the same tike as other peptides or aminos?

I don't worry about combining supplements an worrying about them competing for the same transporters. The dosages of each is typically much higher than what you get from food so the supplement is going to win the content anyway. That's been my experience.

Have you heard of anyone stacking more then one racetam together? Because of my genetics, i get optic nerve atrophy so im curious to try to see if it improves my vision anyway plus i love music. What i hear generally from usees that this is a mild racetam. At the same time, ive read users like you and others like aniracetam for social anxiety and you also said combined with sulbutiamind, you can accomplish anything. So im wondering if it would be possible to have more then one racetam in a stack.

      On a tangent -
What's your guideline on spacing L-Tyrosine? Every 4h next 500-750mg intake makes sense? How to combine with food intakes? Noticed that food sometimes removes the need for L-Tyrosine -> on the other hand sometimes makes me not able to operate in the world completely lol.
PS: this Q been bugging me recently as I'm learning to interact with L-Tyrosine harmoniously :) online says half-life is around 4h but my feeling says it can vary drastically and build up and depend on many factors - would love to be accompanied with your input, David!

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

L-Tyrosine has a half life of 2.5 - 3 hours. Which means the 500 mg Tyrosine you take at 8 AM is gone by noon and can no longer make dopamine. Which is why I use and recommend 500 mg Tyrosine morning and again at noon. Don't worry about the amino acids from your food because that 500 mg capsule is usually considerably more than what is in your meal and wins the competition for transporters.

Our ancestors had a ratio of 1:1 or 2:1 of Omega-3 - Omega-6. But ours clocks in at 16:1 or 17:1 because of the Omega-6s in our food supply. The only way to lower this is use enough Omega-3s every single day. And our brain requires 1,000 mg DHA per day. And about half that of EPA.

Sir yes great website invaluable information!
I already have the choline bitartrate but I will also add the CDP Choline as well as DMAE. I’m spending more time on your website now . I also have listened to and used the information on your videos .
      Peace Always 🙏

I am confused about a seeming discrepancy in your video. You say that lipofuscin is a byproduct of taking L-Carnosine, but that it is not dangerous. But in the next sentence you state that lipofuscin interferes with proper organ and cellular functions, which certainly sounds dangerous to me. I know several studies have shown that lipofuscin can lead to various problems and is definitely something that you don't want to increase. So isn't it dangerous? You then mention several other substances one could take to reduce lipofuscin, but how does one know if it is enough to make up for the increases one gets by taking L-Carnosine? Also, along those lines, I thought that ALCAR was now shown to reduce lipofuscin, thus negating the need for DMAE along with ALCAR and CDP Choline. And a final question would be - where did you get the information that L-Carnosine increases lippofuscin in the first place? I ask because after looking at numerous studies there seems to be no proof of that, other than someone suggesting it as a possible explanation for something they saw, which others said was unlikely.

Isn't it better to take beta alanine?

Good question. I've seen studies verifying L-Carnosine crosses the blood-brain barrier and provides benefits. And other studies that shows using Beta Alanine which is a precursor to Carnosine works as well. I suggest experimenting with each and find which works best for you.

Can’t you just take beta-alanine to boost your carnosine levels?

Sorry but even in the transcript it is not clear as to what to accompany l-carnosine with. Is that CDP choline? L-Car and is L Car the same as L Carnotine? Was that DMAE? Too bad these names do not appear in written form as you were presenting. I definitely don’t want brown spots, anywhere. Thanks

Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR) is very different compared to L-Carnosine. ALCAR helps reduce lipofuscin. And when combined with CDP-Choline also helps boost acetylcholine.
