This can still be improved upon. If you have Gastly, then it has a particular move that will allow you to deal much, much more damage. Gastly has access to a move called Reflect Type (via egg move) then you can get the Dragon/Flying type onto it. Where this really shines is the Def stat- it has slightly lower- being 30 instead of Noibat’s 35. The setup is largely the same, just burning a couple extra moves early on to get Gastly with the Dragon Flying move. Using a Gastly will get much more damage, I don’t know the exact damage calc (the Smogon damage calc shows only % as far as I know). If someone is able to work out the damage calc, or knows a way of finding it, it would be a massive help and a next step for finding the real highest possible damage output.
@@mrcrackhead1264 I’m not sure if this would be better. Band only gives a 1.5x boost, and he has a Metronome on his Pokémon, which doubles the base power of the 5th move. I’m not sure if it would deal as much as the Metronome, but it certainly could help. It shouldn’t be too difficult to do this either- I’m sure he could find 3 moves that can be given to Lopunny (or anything else with Klutz), he used Splash at least once so that turn could be used to swap to Lopunny if the Choice Band is really enough to make a difference.

This is because 4 is the lowest possible number for a stat in pokemon, before applying stat reductions. So noibat is the optimal choice here. However, in another setup, you can improve even more, by using a cleffa with mimic, mimicking Reflect Type instead of gastly.

So I checked the calculations real quick and they're correct except, not really: If you look closely on the table shown at 15:27 , you can see that the critical is set to 1.0. This is incorrect and should be 1.5 since the damage includes a critical hit in a gen 6 game. So this would increase the damage overall, if it was not for the fact that Me first increases only the first turn of ice ball, removing the 1.5x multiplier on the base power of the fifth one. This is actually stated on bulbapedia Me first page, they could be wrong but I don't think so. Also to be really nitpicky, the metronome 2x multiplier is on the "other" value and not on the base power. It doesn't change much, but it does increase the damage in the end. In the end, reapplying the damage formula found on bulbapedia (and by removing decimals when needed) you end up with a 721 899 000 damage. So yeah, different, but not really.

It seems you're right actually, there is many conflicting answers on how the metronome item works, some say that the metronome would not increase Ice Ball base power and also that only the 6th move used would get 100% power boost. So this 5th Ice Ball in the video would either have 0 or 80% boost depending on what site you trust. The same question could be asked for Helping Hand: Some sites says it stacks but the Black and White assembly says it doesn't. This is really confusing and should somehow be tested on real hardware with small enough damage to see if those moves works as intended.

It was my impression that metronome doesn’t interact with moves in this way. When I looked it up the answer I got was that metronome only boosts moves that you select each turn (not moves that force a chain like rollout, ice ball or outrage). Can anyone confirm?
Can confirm, because of this metronome wouldn't have even provided a boost in this vid because ice ball was used once. In reality it was 360 million damage because he incorrectly factored in a 2x metronome boost
Room for improvements to be tested : - First, does flower gift truly stack ? If not, powerspot on an ally is the best ability I can think of, can be transfered with skill swap to ally who has helping hand / copycat / instruct / mimic, since stonjourner can't learn these attacks. If that doesn't work because of game transfer compabilities, there's probably other good abilities to use in similar ways. - pokemons with lower defense stats than noibat, like chansey, could maybe use mimic/copycat to copy reflect type from smeargle, in order to copy a x4 weakness to ice type from any double type dragon/ground/flying. Chansey also learns helping hand, could be used to boost shuckle (or with copycat if helping hand on ennemy doesn't work). Trick room if attack orders don't match - isn't there an ability, similar to fluffy or dry skin, that we can give to the victim, that makes it weaker to ice / physical damage or decreases its defense in some way under any reproduceable conditions ? - can't you use acupressure on shuckle instead of swagger, on the stall turns, to boost his attack and accuracy, and then swap to swagger once he has 1 accuracy boost ? Or use gravity ? Or some other way to buff his accuracy ? - Dump the wide lens for a lum berry to cure swagger confusion, since accuracy is achieved from accupressure / gravity. Give shuckle a choice band with trick after he's started using ice ball for more dmg. - in ennemy team, can't the 3 opponents use helping hand / copycat of helping hand on shuckle ? If not, can't the 3 opponents use instruct / copycat of instruct on helping hand cherryl / whatever other ally may replace the other cherryl if flower gift doesn't stack ?
STAB doesn't buff attack by 150%, it buffs by 1.5X, which is a 50% buff, I'm not saying the maths is wrong, but the break down in the video may be misleading

Nice set-up! As a shuckle fan, I highly approve! However, metronome would only do +80% on the 5th turn, since it's 20% per "additional" hit. Good job tho!
Not to be that guy but even looking past the 65535 damage rollover there's some issues with this, specifically that the Metronome's 2x boost only applies from the 6th hit onward, meaning you'd need to do another round of Ice Balls, and that Me First's 1.5x boost only affects the first hit of Ice Ball. Not to mention there's only a 1/16 chance of it actually doing this much, because of damage rolls. Also, did you ensure that the Shuckle also had a Defense-boosting Nature? It's necessary for it to eventually have max Attack (614 instead of 559)
But then the enemy uses counter and it has a focus sash and does 1,442,000 damage (roughly) if they counter with a focus sash, so that's how you double it.
Especially with the naming this seems like some kind of summoning ritual this needs ti be put in a fan game as a convoluted way to evolve a fakemon that is worse than magikarp into a 999 in all stats actual deity

I want to know how much would be the most recoil damage. Something like: 0HP Reckless/Solar Power/Dry Skin Infernape with Flare Blitz and Life Orb against Iron Barbs Rocky Helmet 252HP Ferrothorn in Sunlight
You can deal more damage if instead of Noibat, you face a Happiny that uses Copycat to copy Reflect Type to use against a Pokémon with any two of Dragon/Flying/Ground, then has Forest's Curse used on it to give it Grass typing. Baton Pass may be better so that in addition to Shuckle getting +6 stage Attack, it can also get maxed out crit rate through moves like Focus Energy, to make it easier to get a crit on the last turn of Ice Ball. Accuracy increasing moves like Hone Claws may also help since Ice Ball only has 90% accuracy (or you can use Sweet Scent on the target, or Skill Swap No Guard to it). Finally, as others have said, you need to use Ice Ball multiple times in order to make full use of the Metronome held item.
I have a new fear now, it's called ShuckleandDobbsaphobia: in where Dobbs, specifically Dobbs no one else, does 721 million damage to Cynthia herself and not only gets crowned champion but also the ruler of the universe, even Arceus itself has his eyes burn when this happens. So if that isn't scary I don't what is.
That wasn’t dobbs footage at all, he said he will do live commentary during the battle but you can clearly see a part in the video that is fast passed foreward, but the voice stays in normal speed. 😒 Timestamp 9:14 to 9:22 The second last ice ball allready had 721M damage it clearly says in text below yet he says he asume it was 400M or 500M 😣 also this let me know that 721M is the max possibile damage since the last ice ball was boosted even more and was a crit but it did the same amount of damage so the crit did absolutly nothing. So it had no significance like you portrayed it and like all the others in the comment section that also believe it was significant. I also don’t believe that he was part of twitch plays pokemon. But that‘s another thing. Lying to your community is something you shouldn’t do. Not to be that guy but even looking past the 65535 damage rollover there's some issues with this, specifically that the Metronome's 2x boost only applies from the 6th hit onward, meaning you'd need to do another round of Ice Balls, and that Me First's 1.5x boost only affects the first hit of Ice Ball. Not to mention there's only a 1/16 chance of it actually doing this much, because of damage rolls. Also, did you ensure that the Shuckle also had a Defense-boosting Nature? It's necessary for it to eventually have max Attack (614 instead of 559)
That shackle was bold so it boosted its defense
Metronome actually applies for each time you consecutively select a move so it wasn't even in effect
But then the enemy uses counter and it has a focus sash and does 1,442,000 damage (roughly) if they counter with a focus sash, so that's how you double it.

You can deal more damage if instead of Noibat, you face a Happiny that uses Copycat to copy Reflect Type to use against a Pokémon with any two of Dragon/Flying/Ground, then has Forest's Curse used on it to give it Grass typing. Baton Pass may be better so that in addition to Shuckle getting +6 stage Attack, it can also get maxed out crit rate through moves like Focus Energy, to make it easier to get a crit on the last turn of Ice Ball. Accuracy increasing moves like Hone Claws may also help since Ice Ball only has 90% accuracy (or you can use Sweet Scent on the target, or Skill Swap No Guard to it). Finally, as others have said, you need to use Ice Ball multiple times in order to make full use of the Metronome held item.
I have a new fear now, it's called ShuckleandDobbsaphobia: in where Dobbs, specifically Dobbs no one else, does 721 million damage to Cynthia herself and not only gets crowned champion but also the ruler of the universe, even Arceus itself has his eyes burn when this happens. So if that isn't scary I don't what is.

The second last ice ball allready had 721M damage it clearly says in text below yet he says he asume it was 400M or 500M 😣 also this let me know that 721M is the max possibile damage since the last ice ball was boosted even more and was a crit but it did the same amount of damage so the crit did absolutly nothing. So it had no significance like you portrayed it and like all the others in the comment section that also believe it was significant.
I also don’t believe that he was part of twitch plays pokemon. But that‘s another thing. Lying to your community is something you shouldn’t do. He produces good content after all (aside from this one) so he don’t need to ly just to get more fame, likes, views whatever so it‘s just a shame.
