- If you have the problem that your Apple constantly asks for passcode, even if you still wear it and don't do anything about it, then try these couple of things, hopefully it will help you.

***IMPORTANT*** For those with tattoos, this may be an issue. I have a tattoo on my left wrist, and there would even be times when I was actively touching the screen and it would suddenly ask for passcode. Saw some information about the tattoo problem, and slid the watch further down my wrist that isn’t covered. Suddenly started working as intended. If you are having this same issue, I suggest trying to find a bare spot on your wrist or switching to the other wrist. Too bad this video didn’t cover that. Maybe I should make one that gets straight to the problem and outline the solutions.

I was wondering if that was the issue… i can’t believe it, that does suck! Keeps asking for passcode so annoying, but want to have it locked when it’s not on you. Literally just got tatted an was finally able to wear the watch again just to know I can’t have a passcode now Damn.

Thanks for the video, had this very annoying issue and your video solved it. Would have been nice for Apple to make it open via Face ID, so no need for both hands especially if you forget the phone at home, (which I admit to doing) regards.

@@foxtecc No, because about 20 seconds after he does what I said above, he attempts it again and it works. Plus, shortly after this, he checks his settings, and wrist detection is on. I’m not tryna make the video look bad or anything, I jus thought it was sum funny, stupid little joke dawg. Ain’t 2 serious. But you making me have 2 explain this, makes the joke useless. Great information! If I encounter an issue with my Apple Watch I always do the unpair and repair to reset it. One thing I have learned it’s not all banks will send you a letter notification that Apple Pay has been set up on your device. This is very interesting I wish every bank would do it no matter who they are. I am looking forward to the next watchOS update so I can unlock my iPhone with my face mask on. I’m glad it will be working on Apple Watch series 3. However, something tells me the next major update will not support Apple Watch Series 3. I am getting close to having enough money for an Apple Watch seven when it comes out later this fall. However, I might just get the Apple Watch SE.

Unlock with iPhone and Carry Detection is on and the Watch sits tightly on my wrist.
What can be or cause the problem?

I don’t use passcode anyway, my crown dial still on the top right and never changes like you recorded on the videos.

Great information!!! But you talk so quickly I can’t follow what you’re saying. Plus when you use the face of the watch for the presentation it’s difficult for me to know what your pressing ie you went to settings to begin, and I could barely see it!! Again, fabo info…. Mb make a slower video for beginners like myself, and magnify the size of the watch face so we can see exactly what we need to open up to get there?

My watch keeps saying the password I put in is wrong. And I know it isn’t wrong because I’ve been using the same password since day one. It just randomly stopped working one day. On top of that I wrote my password for the watch the day I created it into my notes so I wouldn’t forget it cause I never used a 4-digit password before. So I’m 100% sure it’s not my fault that it’s not working. Idk what happened. Or who could’ve changed it cause I didn’t tell anyone else the password or any of the info to my watch or phone.
For me it says that I have a setting that needed my I phone to unlock my Apple Watch why is this? Plus, my password doesn't work so I am locked out of my watch
How to set face lock
I started using the apple watch like 2 months ago just last night i was checking the settings when i came across this setting called screen curtain so i turned it on to see what it would do and then my screen went black but it was reading everything on the screen so i panicked and restarted my watch and now when i try to enter my passcode it just doesnt click the numbers so i cant even enter my passcode i tried everything pls i need help

Your watch is probably too loose on your wrist causing it to believe your watch is not on your wrist. 🤷🏾♀️

@@logi_bear3421 Thanks! Can you please explain about the metal clasp? With Passcode on, the watch will automatically lock when it detects that it’s no longer on your wrist. I found out that if I pushed the watch further up on my wrist, the iWatch would not keep locking on me. I just might have to have anther link taken out. But summer is coming and I don’t want the watch too tight. I believe I’ve solved the problem for me. Or, I can also turn off Passcode. 🤷🏾♀️
Just had the problem and nothing fixed it. Now i realised that it works fine on my other wrist. I guess the problem is, that my arm is heavily tattooed. The watch seems to have a problem with that. That makes me wonder if it works for black people. Would be pretty messed up if not.

I got a apple se watch yesterday and cannot get it to lock only when I remove it. I have tried every option but it either locks all the time or not at all if I take the passcode feature off. My son and wife have the Apple Watch series 3 and there’s does fine. Also I put the “unlock with iPhone” feature on and that doesn’t work either smh. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I’ve done all the steps AND erased and repaired the watch twice, it still constantly asks for a passcode while wearing. Really annoying. Ever since the last update. Come on Apple…

You are talking too fast and flipping around tapping on your watch face, and you did not slow down and show the process to put it in the proper wrist mode. You skipped right past it and I did not understand or catch it as a result.

My apple watch has been stuck in icloud activation lock for months.I tried resetting it but It wouldn't work until I saw a recommendation for *clonetoolzz* and he was able to unlock my device.
I can’t stand to watch this video because you talk too fast and you just keep tapping on your watch face because you know what to do but when you’re teaching someone else you need to slow down a bit so they can follow what you’re doing otherwise it’s useless
