- We've looked at the White House and the Capitol so here is a look at the Vice President's house and the neighbors, former Presidents and wealthy people. This is a shortened version of the 90 minute hike I took today in the frigid weather (upload pending), so if you don't feel like watching the longer version this might save you some time.

Great tour of DC! My family and I spent a day in DC in the summer of 2000 and I just cannot believe all the fences now. There was the one fence in front of the WH at the time, so we got a good pic with the WH. Now it seems you can't even see anything from anywhere in the city! Crazy! I tried it on my maps (using WH address) after I saw someone else post about it, & sure enough it said "permanently closed." Then the map went blank & I got a "you are offline" notification. Then my phone restarted. & then it started saying it was time for a software install...but I had just had one a couple days prior. I haven't done the update yet because I'm freaked out hahah. I know what happened after I looked up the address could be a coincidence, but still...what the map said...then what you said...I freaking hope so.

Thanks for the updates & changes. Being a former resident of D.C. Georgetown & Palisades great memories of when D.C. was D.C., so much has changed. Yes, fences everywhere. The entrance to the Vice Pres home was so simple years ago, last time was at the home was when Vice President Gore lived there. I do miss the National Cathedral was were I went to church every Sunday & the Organ Concerts were always great. Georgetown was a great neighborhood years ago until they put the Mall in, omg a terrible event. Well the owners of stores & shops retired or passed & their kids only wanted the money not to keep the businesses going. :( Woodies gone, omg the greatest Department Stores to ever go to. I know nothing stays the same in life it is always changing. My home in the Palisades paid $57,000, for, I looked it up & sells for $1.4+ million now! Oh gee & the Taxes. It was a different time. I would never go back to live in D.C. just to much has changed. To many good-byes through the years. No neighborhood is the same or are the people there that made it so wonderful to live in.
